- JustPlanes on the Flightdeck of the Egyptair 787 Dreamliner on a delivery flight from Boeing in Seattle nonstop to Cairo. After the 13 hour flight our pilots request a special detour on approach to the airport in order to view The Great Pyramid of Giza and you get a stunning view as we fly right by them along with the city of Cairo and the Nile river.

Beautiful. We moved from Germany to Egypt in the early 60s and lived in Maadi for a few years. My heart still aches I miss Egypt so much. A very special place with very special people.

The pilots were extremely professional and relaxed with the aircraft and crew cooperation was A1. Very cool that they showed us the great pyramids of Giza and the Nile river. Thanks for an excellent presentation;-))

Not sure they were that relaxed. I doubt whether CRM in this cockpit is that happy. What a dystopian landscape is Cairo nowadays. 50 square miles of soulless high rise flats as far as the eye can see. The 3 pyramids do not compensate for that dystopia. Very competent landing.
@@fingerhorn4 After review of the footage again, I feel that you have a point there and I think perhaps there were 2 very experienced / capable senior pilots and one had to operate as the "first officer",,Yes Cairo is somewhat of a Martian landscape with a huge population but I am sure it has a great soul;-)) Merry Xmas to you and yours.
@@fingerhorn4 its a result of having to be aligned with the soviets for several decades, the more efficient soviet block buildings like the ones in Russia and East Germany were built a lot here but at least the slums are being removed

g4340 me too have a disability. I can walk short distances but very limited income. I like seeing the world and TH-cam can help big time. Another channel it’s a flying ,mainly eating and he shows all the places of the city’s country’s! Mark weins channel check it out.
I have been to Japan 3 times. Videos are cool, but nothing beats actually going there. Hope one day we will have robotic suits ( it’s not SciFi, there are researchers developing this technology right now. no it’s not going to be like iron man that is SciFi) that will help people like you actually see the world.
I have a mobility disability but I do fly. I have an electric folding wheelchair that I ride all the way to the airplane door. The ramp attendants take it down the stairs and nit is loaded into the cargo hold. Upon arrival, the chair is delivered to me at the door and I ride on. My wife and I have cruised to Germany, Norway, England, Hawaii, Mexico and will be flying to Austrailia and crusing to New Zealand while there.. We are fortunate to be able to make these trips but that''s all I can do. Hope you get the chance to get out soon.

Congrats on such an amazing milestone, which is something to most certainly be proud of. Having only been on aircraft under a dozen times or so, I must say that it's really cool to have the opportunity to experience the amazing view from the cockpit and to watch such professionals do their job. I could only hope to one day have the chance to visit Egypt and experience all that it offers the international traveler. I have several Egyptian friends here in the States and they are by far the kindest and most down to Earth people I've had the opportunity to meet, and it's a privilege to have them as friends. Fly Safe Guys.
As a regular flyer to Hurghada from London Gatwick , I have never seen the pyramids. That was great...... shukraan

I believe we've made 14 films in the cockpit of the 787 so far and every pilot we filmed loved it... off course very pilot usually loves the airplane they're flying but here you do get a sense they really enjoy it.... and you're very welcome, thanks for watching!

I visited Egypt many times, it is really a beautiful country and its people are very friendly Egyptian pilots who feel very comfortable with them, especially takeoff and landing. The two were formerly C-130 Egyptian Air Force pilots

Thank you so much for an interesting video. I have been to beautiful Egypt twice and one of the times, I stayed at at hotel near by the pyramids and could see them every day from the hotel. It is very good therapy for at person like me who has fear of flying to follow you fantastic pilots who know how to explain what is going on, thank you very much.
I did visit the Great Pyramids 1980 last. A very nice visit I will remember for life! I hope I will have that opportunity once more. It would be nice to visit again.

I lived 2001-03 in Seattle and visited the Boeing works in Everett & Renton. Flew once from Helsinki to Chicago on an Airbus 350. Then Back with Boeing 787 from Chicago via London: These new aircrafts are certainly packed with advance technologies. And able to fly long distances, offering direct flights sparing travelers transits through confusingly larger hubs. I enjoyed the flight with the Boeing 787 a bit more because of the better resolution passenger screen and attention to detail finish. Wishing Egyptair 787 many years of successful operations and enjoyable flights!

Seeing ancient structures out of the cockpit of one of the most beautiful modern aircraft in full hd is an amazing thing. What a time we live in. This video gave me an interesting feeling. Imagine if the Pharaohs could see what the world was like today.
