We were in Dingle Bay and were brought in by the harbour porpois that lived there at the time. It’s a long time ago (about 30 years ago). I love’d it there. Nice to see it back.
Thank you 😊 Maybe we could have, but the tide was only 3.5 meter here so it would have been a short time on the bottom. When beaching you want to be sure that it is a good place to do a touchdown, and remember you will do a touchdown twice a day. Beaching is great when possible 😊
great video! very dramatic radio chat! thank you, looking forward to see what happens next. how deep was at the anchorage? looks so far from the shore, would it be less wind closer to shore? is solar power enough for all you lights and everything? winter sun? or you do run engine/ generator? thank you!
Thank you for your nice comment. Do not remember the depth we have found that closer shore meaning less depth will make make the swell bigger when there is a swell coming in at the anchorage. we have a lot of solar when the sun in shining and normaly it is enough and we do not use the generator a lot. Of corse al depends on what we are doing onboard for example cooking on the induction hob or making hot water on the inverter.
Total respect. Last summer was probably the worst in a long time. Im . am a west coast sailor. You made the best of it.😅

Det samma Gott Nytt! Vi ska göra vårt bästa 😃
Great video, superb sailing conditions very smooth through waves, great boat, were you using daggerboards?
Thank so much! We more or less use the daggerboards every time we sail upwind, it helps the rudder a lot.
Does lifting the centerboard reduce rollyness in anchorages? Happy holidays!
We have tried both and it\s not much difference, maybe a little bit less rolly when down.
Do you still have your GS1200?
Yes, we do! Actually hoping for a trip up to Nord Kap this summer!
could you not beach the boat? nice vid 😊
