Wood turning can be a dangerous hobby. My videos show my methods of turning and if you do not feel comfortable with my methods please do not copy them but rather use a method you feel comfortable using. Your safety is your responsibility as is the safety in your workshop. Enjoy the videos, hopefully something inspires you or helps you along the way. Irish woodturning is a craft that is dying out and should be preserved so that the tradition of Wood turning in Ireland stays alive and well.

Lovely design and wood Shay. I recently made a similar piece in redwood. I made the upper section concave. I follow Andy and saw the video. At least he and home were not damaged.
Thanks Alan, yes Andy was lucky and his work tools were in the van. Luckily only the van got it, his work tools were OK.

Very beautiful piece of wood. Great job again. Didn't know about Keith. Makes me want a cup of coffee. Loved that guy and Sheila. My wife always asked me if Keith had a new video.
It is indeed Stevio. I was shocked when I heard about Keith myself. I rarely got a chance to watch his lives while he was shooting them but I did catch up on them later.

Lovely bowl Shay. I'd seen Andy's news which is terrible but i hadn't heard about Keith although i knew he'd been very unwell. Very sad.

So sad to hear of Keith. I feel for Andy, I follow him & love all his little cartoonish animals. At least, thank god he wasn't hurt & he'll get there again. Love this bowl. Art deco is my favourite style. Conserning crown cryo tools & the stupid prices you have to pay to get them over to Ireland, just a thought, but if you want any them let me know, ( you have my email), & they can come to me 1rst, then I'll just post them over to you saving any stupid import / brexit / rediculace charges. If so we can sort something out. I'm learning a lot from watching your videos Shay, so in a way, if you want to, this could be a silly, small way of my returning something to you.
