I didn't know that F2000 was a standard US Infantry assault rifle during the 1940s.
And the EX-1 (the laser gun) was the standard US infantry rifle designed to replace the M1 Garand
clearly standard issue among belgian army, before they got conquered by nazi germany, then it got spread around all fronts

The game perfectly recaptures the horrors of WWII. My grandpa told me a story before he died. It stuck with me forever.
The year was 1945. Near the end of the war. He and his unit were all issued FN F2000 assault rifles. They were tasked to eliminate Kong and Godzilla on Caldera island. Unfortunately, they encountered 4 very dangerous people.
One had an eyepatch and was responsible for the drone attacks of 2025, the other was an Al-Qaeda lader, another one survived a bullt to the chest and sinking train and the last one was part of the Singaporean terrorists in the 2060s named the 54immortal.
Their weaponry was absolutely bizarre. They were equipped with EX-1 Laser rifles, BAR machine guns chambered in .50 BMG and anime SMGs with pink tracers and holographic optics.
My grandpa and his unit were ambushed by these 4 people. 3 people lost their lives during the ambush. Out of nowhere, Snoop Dogg came in and provided cover fire with his Sig 510 assault rifle. He saved my grandfather's life and gave the remaining people of the unit a fighting chance.
My grandpa's team and Snoop Dogg beat them all quickly and were able to stop Kong and Godzilla from conquering the island. One of the 4 people asked "How did you beat us?" My grandfather responded saying "We won because we are Call of Duty: Vanguard and you are dead." Snoop Dogg then added "Yeah, you got smoked, fool."
I will never forget what my grandfather did for my country. He was a hero and will be remembered as one. Rest in Peace, old man. I miss him everyday.
I remeber! My grandpa was in your squadron with a waifu camo on his lazer while he 360 no scoped germans. But whats even better is he pulled a stg 44 with an m1 garand clip inserted off a Japanese soilder and mowed down multiple armies.
@@Catconsumervfx Those were crazy times, man. In another battle, my grandpa grabbed a 1928 Thompson SMG chambered in 5.7x28 and used it to fight off the armoured titan and aid Captain Levi. WW2 truly was a time for heroes and I'm glad my grandpa was one of them.

Sten variants and prototypes based on real life, Thompson M1A1, M1A1 cursed Carbine, MP41, BAR Colt Monitor or the Polish variant, Ppsh43, K-50M smg, Bren lightweight Airborne version and many more which I can't name them all
Cursed ones I did was STG44 mimicking a Star Wars blaster rifle with the tiny mag and as usual Han Solo's DL44 blaster

This game was certainly one of the things of all time
WWII soldiers were trained to shoot sidearms with one hand. Yet in here in Vanguard all guns are wielded with both hands. Even COD WWIII managed to get this right.

Up until the ARs I thought this game was set in the cold war setting. Then the FN2000 comes up and half these guns I don't even recognize? Fun drinking game, is it a real gun or not! Guess and if you're wrong you drink!
believe it or not, but all these guns (except the laser gun) are in fact real. they were either used in the war, were an unused prototype, or were a prototype for a gun that would come out later on.
My grandpa actually told me that he was issued an ex1 as a paratrooper while everyone else was issued FN2000s

The AS-44 was designed by Sudayev. Its development ended in 1946, after he died.
While it isn't a prototype of the AK, it theoretically could've been an inspiration for others.
Why oh why oh why did Sledgehammer add the F2000 from 2001 (or thereabouts) and the Marco 5 (possibly from the 70s) and the EX1 (from the future) into a bleeding WW2?!? Have they run out of ideas for new WW2 weapons (eg Lee Enfield) and were like “Errrrrmm… I know let’s add the F2000”?

I find it funny how the P38 Walther never made an appearance in Vanguard despite the fact that the P38 replaced the “Klauser” before the Second World War. Only a handful of “Enemy Team” high rank officers used the “Klauser”.

They paid good attention to the reloads despite the game’s weapons being a mosh pit of different eras, such as the F2000 from the 2000’s and the EM1 from AW times. I myself don’t mind the historical inaccuracies.
So with this in mind the panzerfaust was a historical accurate description of the weapons reload
The game's arsenal is the textbook definition for identity crisis,
You got (fairly) accurate ww2 weaponry, sorted and classed by modern standards(assault rifles, marksman rifles), and you got some very obscure weapons like 1915, than you get cold war, modern firearms, futuristic laser rifle, and a steam punky literal Franken Gun

I still can’t get over how great the guns sound but yet how awful some have the re-used Cod WW2 reloading sounds which are awful
