After cutting the pattern did u add sewing allowance before cutting the fabric…? And also for the collar after measuring the pattern neckline did u add sewing allowance on the shoulder so as to not conflict the exact number you got for the collar measurements… pls explain
Yes I added allowance on the pattern, before cutting on the fabric . And also on the neckline after taken the neck measurements I added allowance on the fabric. You can check the link on the description box on how to draft a collar. You will notice I added allowance all round. Very necessary.
@@Elegancebymonique ok… Thankyou for your timely response… what I meant is that on the bodies for the neckline did u add allowance on it and also at the back tightening part did u replace the 0.75 to the side of the back to align with the front after joining….? That’s jst my curiosity…
@@desmondomoodua6807 yes I added 0.5 inches when cutting on the fabric. That is on the neckline. Also I added 0.5 inches on the shoulder for joining. It’s a pinafore top , so I used same waist line for the back and front. The 0.75 for back tightening did not affect the waist length because I used same waist for front and back which is 17 inches hope you understand.
