You are amazing pattern making and a designer. Your way to explain the process is sample to fallow. Thank you for your grace and sharing with all of us 😎👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌞
Oh my! This is the best draping demonstration I have ever seen. Educational and entertaining. I can tell u truly love your work. Beautiful garment. Thank you
shut the front drape door. Thank you. you made my day. I love to sew and drape with you. you bring calmness to my day. Thank you. I would love to meet you and spend one day with you Nick. I think that would be the experience of a life time. You open up my horizons of design. From an old woman in South Africa. God bless you.
Hi Mr.Nick, I'm a beginner in draping course, I just wanted to thank you for your creative and awesome video, it really helped me to understand it better!
OMG I loooove the happy way you present this video's. It makes them look so easy to do and they are on everyone understanding. And the tone of your voice make you want to start right away to do one. Plenty of hugs from Greece. 🥰❤️🤗
Waaaw love your channel you are an amazing teacher ....I had so much fun watching this video ....and will be watching them all🥰😊Thank you and keep up the great work .Silvia
Nick I have just found your channel and instantly subscribed!! I love you, your work, explanation and the colours you wear!! 😍 I've been sewing for decades but lacked the confidence to venture out icreating and designing my own stuff. But this pupil is ready, and the Teacher has most certainly appeared! I don't have a mannequin so I'm just gonna attach the drape to myself and pin to the basic block underneath. And obviously i just cut on the bias and add my seam allowances? Love the 'cut and aaah'. 😊 The fabric does indeed talk to you. Will be going through ALL your videos. Thank you so so much!! 😘
Ok I just watched you on the second season of project runway and I didn't continue after you were eliminated and that creature was kept on.I just couldn't continue watching...But you are a class act and you are not doing badly..Bravo
Hello, I'm Brazilian, I do not understand what you say, but your explanations are wonderful, I'm a beginner at sewing but I can understand the meaning of what you teach, thank you.
Thank you for your cheerful and passionate tutorial, Nick! By the way, I wonder could you please do another tutorial on how to make the dress? Is it a full circle? I'd really appreciate that! Cheers from Malaysia =)
Hi nick... I am ludy from Philippines.. I love watching every design u've shared thru this TH-cam.. I've learned so much from u.. U inspired me a lot.. In fact I have my little business just like dress shop.. Hope we can chat by next time.. More power to u nick.. And God bless you always..
Love the way you did that and how you gave the instructions. Now, how do you make the pattern for it?. Can you show that so I can give it a try. I work in the garment district and would like to do some sewing. That you.
I LOVE these videos. My problem. I live in rural Vermont. I have a vineyard (yes, wine). So basically, I farm. Now where on earth am I going to wear this stuff? Because I HAVE to sew it!
Hi Nick I’m an aspiring designer, I want to know how can someone become your intern or your student you make me fall in love again with fashion and draping. Thank you so much for making draping fun.
Nick, I love your videos, not only they're entertaining but they're also educational! I do have two questions, though. 1. Would I be correct in assuming that you drape on the mannequin with the wrong side of the fabric facing you? 2. How do you take it off the mannequin so that it still holds the shape? 3. Can you make a short video of it?
Hi Dora! Thank you for your comments and questions--In regards to your draping fabric/mannequin question: I drape using the right side of the fabric but since it is just a drape--and if I am using muslin--there really isn't a right or a wrong side of the fabric. As long as you are not using the same fabric you will make the garment in, it really does not matter what side of the draping fabric you drape in on your mannequin. I hope that helps :)--XO
¡¡¡¡¡bravoooo!!!!
love the dress and the color! this is why a gown like this will cost a few hundred bucks - am I right, Nick? and as a graduate from design schools, I can assure you that skills like this takes time to perfect. from a patternmaker's point of view, i suggest you make as many markings as necessary on the muslin *BEFORE YOU START UNPINNING*
Thank you and God bless your work, pls what about the small pattern you put underpath. did you remove it after finishing with the second pleat. Pls reply
Hey there Nick. I have been following you for about a year. Unfortunately, i haven't seen any illutrations on how to get these beautiful garments in plus size 😊. Can you please put up some plus size women garments or how to get them on Plus 😉
Question. Can you make a similar tutorial to make the pleated bodice Bell wore in the 2017 beauty and the beast. I have not seen anyone make a a tutorial paying special attention to the bodice only the full skirt with the dual peplums.
I don't think I could ever do what you do but, seeing the process, I will appreciate these designs more than ever. thank you Nick.
