    High-resolution compact studio monitor
    Your music as you’ve never heard before
    IK’s iLoud Micro Monitors stunned an industry. Producers and engineers at every level marveled at the performance coming from such a small setup, so IK challenged our team to push its concept even further - to design a new compact speaker to rival 5”, 6” and even 8” monitors.
    The result is iLoud MTM, and it changes everything about the sound, accuracy and convenience of reference monitors in today’s modern studio.
    Once you hear iLoud MTM, you’ll find it hard to ever go back to traditional big-box speakers.
    Reference-class, ultra-linear response
    The first job of any studio monitor is to deliver accurate, uncolored sound so you can trust your mixing decisions will translate across multiple playback systems. iLoud MTM uses the most advanced DSP techniques to provide total control over the speakers’ performance, delivering results simply not obtainable with traditional analog designs.
    Highs are neutral and defined, mids are clear and balanced, and lows are as balanced as ever. You can mix for hours with no ear fatigue, and the work you create will translate better than ever. And of course it’s loud, with 100W RMS total power per speaker and 103dB SPL maximum sound pressure, delivering the proven volume the iLoud brand is known for.
    Extended low-end to rival larger systems
    iLoud Micro Monitor wowed the world with the bass performance it delivered from a 3” speaker that “defied physics”. But iLoud MTM offers even more, with even bass response down to an astonishing 40Hz ideal for modern music styles.
    iLoud MTM debuts IK’s new patent-pending Physical Response Linearization (PRL™) system, that uses a precise model of the enclosure’s design, construction and materials, combined with electro-mechanical measurements of the real units, to correct the system’s performance in real time. The result is a stunningly “firm,” balanced and defined low end, to surpass the sound of speakers even twice iLoud MTM’s size.
    Deep bass is solid and firm - you won’t believe sound like this comes from a monitor so small.

    Thanks for the video! Very useful and informative! Got my ears / eyes on these for sure!
    I'm curious to know if these would work in a 5.1 setup with ARC working being used too, or if ARC only works in stereo.

      ARC only works In stereo. However when I talked with the devs of these new MTM monitors with built in ARC they are looking at 5.1 with them.

    Unders thanks for the awesome intro video to MTMs. Quick question. Imagine you live in Tokyo, in a 40m2 apartment. And you want to get most out of that 1,2 m x 2,2m walk in closet with a tiny table space of 90cm W to 50cm Depth. Budget is not an issue, and priority is using that space in the best way. Would you pick MTM or MM? Thanks a lot in advance!

      If price really isn’t an issue. Got with the 8341a from Genelec
      Otherwise the MTM for the room correction too they offer. For the price there’s nothing as versatile. Those genelec ones are incredible though, but very expensive

    Hi there and thanks for the video. I have just had a pair of these and think they sound amazing apart from the rattling coming from the rear ports just like in the vid @ 12:00. I have to disagree that this is microphone overload as that rattling sound is not distortion, its more flappy/rattle and is also highlighted by the rep stating that the rattling sound is because they are unfinished prototypes. However mine sound exactly the same. I'm beginning to think that these monitors aren't all that great for bass music but I'm still trying to tell myself otherwise and work with them. I'm going to have to go to a store to test some other monitors out I think. I've calibrated them however I can't hear much of a difference when I switch between Cal, Flat and Desk. They are definitely great sounding and sound very clear and accurate, just a shame about them farting from the rear.

    • @Unders
      @Unders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So we 100% overloaded the microphone, I had to fix the audio. Thats unfortunate about the port noise (i'm still yet to get my personal set of MTM btw) when mixing bass heavy parts is the issue still there at medium to low levels?

    • @tone2k9
      @tone2k9 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Unders I tested again today and used Zero T's Divisions track as a reference where still after turning down quite low I can hear the port noise from the optimum listening position. I'm monitoring at around 89dB(C) SPL however I can still hear it at around 85dB. I'm working with support to see if my units are faulty or not.

    m8, how usable are these for drum and bass vs a 8 inch woofer likea yamaha hs8 , can they really be equivalent to design those lower ends kicks and basses? I have my doubts, might as well get something bigger no? I have my eye on the focal alpha 65's, same price, but they seem to reveal a crazy amt of distortion vs other brands.

    • @Unders
      @Unders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In the end get what’s right for you.
      But to answer the question yes, size in this case equals loudness, now I had these up less than halfway and it’s plenty loud in fact it clipped our mic so it’s not in the video.
      However if you have a large room or a far back listening space then a larger monitor (might) serve better.
      I actually mixed the last couple singles on only the even smaller iLouds an am happy with the results
