Better late then never enjoyed your post like the way you covered all aspects of the model under a coat of primer the final paint scheme will be fine thanks for the input looking forward building one stay the course Bruce
Nice review, thanks! Good kit as well. I like Academy F-4, the only thing that drives me mad is that one has to glue the landing gear in at the very beginning of the assembly. I usually break it off three or four times before painting...))) Thanks!)
Hi Lee, another good review of a great aircraft, If I could sneak a box that big home I would get the kit. It has always been one of my favourite aircraft, I think it still beats what is about today, with the exception of technology. Les
International Scale Modeller Yeah nice video but you and hyper scale are better than genesis models because they don't allow for comments and their website hardly has any free things you have to pay real money to go to the rest of the website
International Scale Modeller Genesis models I don't like because there subscription prices are only in British pounds and no way for translating the money into other forms of money and I'm an American
Lee, not sure if you will read this, but I suspect Academy have gotten over their multi coloured sprue phase given that the two current limited edition Eduard kits Good Morning Da Nang and Bicentennial Phantoms all have complete sprues as normal grey plastic but then those kits are of the F-4B version. Academy may have corrected the F-4C version after the initial first run of the kit.
Hello International scale model I have a question for you does this kit have the parts to build a D version ? thanks for your input. I enjoy your posts this post was the one that made me order it. Stay the course Bruce
@@InternationalScaleModeller Hello I've done some research it appears to have the parts needed to build a D version would have to download the instructions to the academy South Vietnam Air force kit thanks for your time oh by the way there are somethings the C instructions tell you to use like the chaff parts on the inboard pylons there is different info on which instrument panels to use front and back still checking on that hope this was helpful to you just wanted to pass it along not a know it all I'm still learning something new everyday. stay the course Bruce
hi lee I've just finishing watching your video on the phantom c 1/48 and noticed that you said you wouldn't be using the figures provided. I'm just wondering what you do with them.
Second that. Been following Lee and Paul on here for a while now and they awesome. I hate Genesis Models. I really don't like how he seems to fail to research anything about the subject he is presenting in his videos and tries to be too professional. ISM seems a lot more slick yet less formal, anything goes and they have fun with it.
There is a separate glossy colour paint and stencil guide on a largish sheet. Obviously missing. The stencils are fun, fun, fun. The three colour plastics seem to be a carry over from the US Navy version which builds up into a grey upper, white lower and black exhaust/heat shield area model. Truly pointless.
Just finished my Revell F-4C. This model is always a challenge due to the engines and stuff. I love the amount of ammo it comes with.
A trick : watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching loads of movies recently.
@Miles Rudy Yup, I have been watching on flixzone} for since november myself =)

Lee, thanks for the review. Love these Phantoms! Going to be ordering one today! Cheers!
This video has motivated me to do a model of Randy "Duke" Cunnigham's Mig Killer Phantom. I can't wait to get started. -Thanks!

Okay Great review Lee! Unless I was in a day dreamy trance, I didn't notice decal placements either! But she look's to be a great kit.... :-)

It reminds me of the old matchbox kits :)
I'm going to build this kit as Lance Sijan's Phantom

Let's hope so :)
Eduard F-4C 1193 is so far better what I have! You should try this as soon.

Hi Allan, they just go in the spares bin :)
Hi lee thabks for the reply. I was wondering if you don't use them would you be interested in selling me a job lot of your unused 1\48 figures.
Ha ha - I don't think I have that many to be honest, been a slow couple of years....lol.

good Video until 6:24 when i saw the First White sprue !
Do you ever assemble the plane ?
I do, but this one won't be until next year... :)

This and Hyper Scale are way better than Genesis Model.
