Hey! This cold air intake will fit the 1.5, 1.6, and 2.0 engines on the Ford Fusion. You can read more about it here: www.steeda.com/steeda-555-3174-fusion-ecoboost-cold-air-intake Thanks for watching!
Just installed on my 2018 2.0 took me an hour since I never do things like this the grommet was the hardest thing to fit really snugg in there but you’ll be satisfied with results I’m happy. Also added a chassis bar with the intake it’s nice handles better.
Wasnt a perfect fit for my 2014 Fusion 2.0, but with a lil modification and it worked. Had to take off a lil of the edge to get it drop in otherwise i wouldnt get it to bolted down.
I just installed the CAI today on my 2014 1.6 and there was no spot to screw the MAFS into the box. And it was wiggly and felt like it would come off if I went around a corner. I had to tuck the sensor underneath the intake hose to the left underneath the box. Good product but I believe this really is only truly trouble free for the 2.0
No new smooth hose to replace the accordion flex hose that creates a bunch of turbulence? Honestly for the price of this intake I was expecting that to be upgraded as well. Is there one available?
@@steedaautosports thank you for the quick response by any chance is there an option to get the metal pipes for the intake to the turbo and if your intercooler for the 1.6 will fit my 2020 1.5 eco boost?
So I installed this and I have the 2015 same pieces. I noticed while driving it wounds like it's wobbling or whistling from the wind coming in anyway to stop that or is that just how it sounds. Pretty shitty if you ask me
+steedaautosports I just took apart and reinstalled still making the same noise. one problem I had was getting the air sensor into the rubber o ring. I had to cut it to fit in there perfect which shouldnt. the noise sounds like wind blowing through the front of it like it's whipping in the air.
Question: Why is the mass airflow sensor left outside of the actual filter? Doesn't that mean that it will get dirty air passing through it requiring more often cleaning and potentially damaging it? In addition, how can it accurately read the amount of air going into the engine if it is outside of the air conduct?
Good question. The fact that they didn't answer it implies that they don't have a good answer. In other words, the CAI is probably not worth the effort or cost. Just buy a drop-in K&N filter and it'll provide the same, if not better, results.
I know this is old, but for anyone else: this is an intake air temperature sensor, so it doesn't really matter and it doesn't need to be that accurate anyway in a closed loop system. A question I have is why there is a hole just under the temp sensor in the box (for the 2014 model). I'm probably going to cover it, but all-in-all monitoring the IAT it doesn't seem to make any difference.
That grommet he points to before mounting the box is useless doesn’t even touch it bad design but everything else fits perfect no issues I just don’t like that the two bolts hold the intake.
Coold air intake on a turbo charged vehicle?! Doesn’t the turbo reheat the air before I gets to the engine anyway? making this a complete waste of time and money... your website says my car would get 18hp gains how is that when the air temp is exactly the same temp when it enters my engine? I really hope I’m missing something here but I don’t think so guys, smells like a scam to me.
Hi Ethan, the Cold Air Intake has access to cooler air (which is then routed through the cold side of the turbo and then into the intercooler). The cooler the air is before going into the turbo, the cooler it will be coming out. In addition, where the Cold Air Intake really shines is how it outflows the factory airbox and filter assembly. Thousands of satisfied customers are reporting instant measurable improvements in power, torque, sound and fuel economy. "Going up the first hill I noticed the torque increase. The 2013 Fusion 2.0 EcoBoost has not impressed me at all until now. It really brought it to life! I made this trip close to 100 times in the last year with this car with an average of 27 mpg. This time it averaged 31 mpg. This is checking with the instant fuel mileage and at the pump. Very easy installation. Highly recommend!" -Brandon C, Georgia
Hi, I'm seeing comments asking if this will fit the 1.5l engine. I've seen a couple no's and yes's. I'm just wondering if it will work thanks.

I finally have my cai installed in my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium2.0 & I love it.
This is excellent! Would like to see similar video tutorials for all of your 2013-2014 Fusion products.
Looks great! Wish I had mine. Should have had it today from what I was told a week ago

How do you remove the air sensor harness clips I can’t seem to get them out without breaking something ?
Will this work on a 2019 2.0L Ecoboost model?

Simple enough thanks.
Son ordered one for his 2020 Fusion Titanium we put it on today
I have one too how hard was the install?
@@Doob2x it’s easy to install I watched a TH-cam video before also

K&N is the only one that makes a full tube
AEM, K&N, and Injen all make kits that include the piping to replace the turbulent accordion hose.
F. Hernandez on the 1.5 Ecoboost question.... we have it under development, no further information at this time.
+steedaautosports can you post one for the 1.5 fusion. i saw the thread on 2gfusions.
Does this K&N cold air fit my 2017 2.0?? If not, I will buy this. I feel like it should
I was wondering the same thing, it’s been 7 months do you have an answer yourself??
Will this fit 2018 2.0 ecoboost
It´s this compatibility with a german Mondeo Mk5 ba7 2.0 diesel engine?
will this fit the 1.6?
Absolutely. On the 1.6L Ecoboost engines expect point to point gains of up to 10 horsepower at the wheels.
steedaautosports In addition under steady state driving conditions an increase in gas mileage should be noticed.
will it throw a check engine light? will it need to be tuned after install to recognize changed hardware?
brock pike pretty sure cai are only good if you tune...regardless if it's this or a k&n
I just don’t like the location of the sensor
So no tune required? 2017 Ford fusion FWD 2.0t.
Yes it’s required mine decreased MPG dramatically without tune
Hey steeds do you guys have a cold air intake for a 2020 Ford Fusion 1.5ecoboost??
Please advise looking forward to your answer
Thank you
Hi Jose - This will fit your 1.5L EcoBoost: www.steeda.com/steeda-555-3174-fusion-ecoboost-cold-air-intake

Yes, the included instructions include it's own side for the 1.5 ecoboost
which model do i need for a 2014 MKZ turbo?

I think that air is just the sound of the turbo. Mine did that with the stock box on but not as loud. You get any advice from steeda?
@Steeda what about the 2019 AWD model, does it fit as well?
I just put it on a 16 awd
@@ShopTown 19 model is a bit different, in engine compartment as well
i have a 2015 2.5L will this work on that?
No sir, it will not.
Is it Carb-Legal
Hi MrD49ersg, this particular Cold Air Intake is not CARB Certified
Will the this fit 2017 Ford Fusion se
As long has it has a 2.0 EcoBoost it will fit.
Would this be able to fit the 2014 1.5l fusion or no??
XxstuntkidXx No, this kit will not currently fit. We are working on a kit that will fit the 1.5L Fusion!
steedaautosports Do you know when it may be released like maybe this year or no???

Very poor video that didn’t explain the sensor for the 1.6 engine.
Сколько стоит? Возможна ли отсылка в Украину? Спасибо.
