Shreeji, Always doing something good for the soul alongside all earthly. Introducing new personalities and conversing with them is a Novelty in your routine. One such is Prof Mukundji. Space containing almost everything(Prana, sound etc ,) is the Life-giver for all the Living!!
Thank you Sree ji🙏🏼 amazing discussion as always. The last bit on the parallel between life situations and landing notes of raagas was the icing on the cake. What an insightful perspective by Prof. Mukund ji. Dhanyavad Prof. 🙏🏼
Thanks for your announcement to bring back Prof Mukund. The relation between sunlight and swara ragas..It's a revelation.. Looking forward to such enlightening topics
Very informative talk especially on the Indian classical music, with special reference to Carnatic music. Just like to add that one specialty of Indian music is that one can sing complete song of any complexity using sa, ri, ga, ma, ...., where as you just cannot do that with do, re mi,fa, ..... !!! I don't think any other music system of the world can do that too !!Also, it would have been great if you had discussed about the content of the book even in basic terms!
Very interesting, 7 colors , 7 chakars, 7 swaras, ,7 colors , tantra tells 7 chakars , meditation, adtiya hudayam in Ramayana. There is some Science behind it
Thanks for this discussion !!! It gives some food for mind. My continuous thinking about mind/brain- When it is trapped in a range and refugee to expand ? Can we really come out of it ever ? Do we all have limited brain /mind capacity at individual level and can not be overpowered out of that range?
Dear Sri Iyer, Wonderful programme. Incidentally Krishna Gana Sabha is in T.Nagar not in Mylapore As stated by you. Your interaction with Prof Mukund on music swaras was really interesting.
I had asked this question to many people but without any response so far. Western music has octaves while indian music has only saptha swaras. Are the octaves comparable to saptha swaras. Does octaves mean 8 swaras?
Sri.Sree(nivasa) iyer, Namaskaram. I am Arunachalam of Bangalore now in U.S(Chicago). with my daughter . I am an avid follower of your videos.I wanted to share this info with you. You may be aware of one Mr. Arif Ajaakia,Human activist, ex-Pakistani now in London who is a great admirer of our values andSanatana Dharma like Mr.Tarek Fatah of Canada. In a recent clip he refered to the Book ,'Ten Gunas' of Prof. Mukund and advised his Muslim followers ( Now Ex) to study ( not just read!) this book and appreciate the greatness of our values and our land. Hope your influence on the people of Tamil Nadu will have some effect .But unfortunately they are obssesively biased and obstinate people who cannot be easily convinced!
