- Technique Tuesday With Mystical Block Backgrounds .
Hi everyone, Jo here, thanks so much for popping in again.
Today we are going to be having some fun with our Mystical sprays. We are going to use them on an acrylic block and create some fabulous backgrounds.
This is such a fun and versatile technique, you can add water to the mix, use the air puffer, use different shaped acrylic blocks.
Once these are dry you then just decide if you want to stamp on your background, maybe add some stencil work…this really will channel your imagination.

I can't believe that anyone would go out of their way to criticize you! I get a lot of inspiration from your tips and designs. You obviously go to a lot of effort to share your ideas with us - for free! - and it boggles my mind that people would do anything but say "thank you, Jo". So don't let those comments get you down, I appreciate everything you do and look forward to our crafty catch-up twice a week.

Oh wow. Looks like fun. I to use my spray not as much as I should. You have whet my juices so will have a play over the week end. I could hear the emotion in your voice. Such a warm hug all the way up from Germany!! You don't have a clue how I am smiling everytime I watch a video from you. Jo, I think you are absolutely amazing with all your tips and techniques that you so freely share with us. For me, I especially enjoy your accent and voice as it sits well on my hearing. Ignore the negative comments. Unless people are constructive in their criticisms, its not worth giving it any attention. Hi Jo. I love your tutorials. They are really helpful. What’s mixed media if it’s not using paint ,pencils ,different inks on one picture?? There are different ways of doing mix media as we all know. Ignore people that have nothing nice to say. That’s there problem. Your fab. Eric is sooo cute. Bless him. Thanks Jo for giving us your time and inspiration xx

Jo, luv, when people make mean comments like that, they're doing it to hurt. They want to feel superior, and bring you down. Don't let them. These things, this art, that you do is pretty, beautiful, really cool, and lots of fun. I love watching you create. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Oh, and I want to hug Eric!! Wow, they are amazing! I don't know why someone would say that to you, please don't let it knock your confidence! It is my opinion, that not only are you very talented, inspirational, and a first class tutor, and I watch more craft videos than I care to admit to, so I'm very qualified to say so, but you come up with new ideas every week, and you are so kind and thoughtful, very calming. This is a mojo starter for sure. As far as the mixed media comment... you know what....we all have things we like to do...we have our strengths. That’s where we fit. Not all of us can do every little thing. Even Jennifer McGuire says she can’t color or watercolor...but she loves die cutting. Your gifting touches all of us... I’ve learned so much from you. We love what YOU bring. Had to say it. Try to not be so hard on yourself. Dust off those comments and know we love you and what you do. Period. Ok. I’m done. Have a very blessed day! And Eric adores you....he needs to be near you... I love that! 💕🙋♀️🇺🇸

Jo, I would love to see what you do with the background's you made. I have so many now while I was trying to get My MOJO back. And I honestly don't know what to do with them. I will look at My silhouette Stamps and see, but I'd love to see what you do.

Only speaking for myself, you have inspired me to start a new journey into journals using Lavinia stamps. After 20+ years of card making, I am SO excited to be creating something a bit different. You’re a GREAT teacher, and inspiring. Some people on the internet are just nasty. Hopefully they’ll move on. If they keep making nasty comments, just remember: they’re watching your videos. Even a “hate watch” still counts as a view.
People have commented on my interviews that I’m a shit interviewer because I facilitate my guests in discussions about THEM. *I* am a facilitator, NOT one of those people who make interviews about them. Their criticism may have some validity but it comes down to what they want. And if they’re really just shitty because I, a woman, interviewed famous people and they’re jealous, lol!

Sweet, sweet Eric! Who doesn’t love dogs? My precious Finn, who is a Lhasa Apsos, is my ever present, constant and loving companion. He has 2 cushions in my craft room and a cushion and bench in my husband’s office. I enjoy you sharing tales of Eric. As always thank you for your inspiration and help. Your videos are appreciated!

Oh Jo that’s terrible that someone made you feel upset by their unhelpful horrible comments. Why do certain people think it’s ok to send nasty comments it’s not like you are forcing anyone to watch you, if it’s not for you move on no need for their derogatory comments says more about them than you. There are plenty You Tubers out there offering a wide variety of videos for everything you could imagine, so it’s not needed. I love watching your videos and I’ve learnt so much from you, though have spent a little more money than I probably should!! I look forward to all your videos with a coffee and a cheeky and biscuit, loving Eric by the way he’s gorgeous.
