I swear that final chorus sounds fucking EPIC, DIVINE, GODLY, HOLY, UNEARTHLY! Every time that part comes with the choir, massive chills run down through my whole body and my heart feels like it wants to explode. It really does feels like an apocalypse, like the gods singing at the end of the world, but in a VERY FUCKING COOL WAY!

Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject here. Maison is French for "house", and they are singing about everyone's house, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Safe my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Safe my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Safe my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Safe my home in the desert").
People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!"
Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. I especially like the pre-chorus, which seems to appear out of nowhere, and the chord progression in the bridge. LEEZ and Ollounder have done it again, and the girls perform the song amazingly. Respect!

Yoohyeon being my ult bias, I died many times this comeback already and its only been a day. As usual though, I've been getting wrecked by the rest of the members. I think I would still have to put Odd Eye as my favorite title track, but goddamn is Maison a very close second, this song is phenomenal. I think this might be my favorite Dami rap, she slayed it.

Dreamcatcher Maison Was a great mixing and arrangement of vocals rap and visuals with the most interesting choice of CGI effects and Wardrobe changes were doing something different individually for Dami and Hangdong

Me too, I'm staying away from any spoiler at all (except TH-cam thumbnail ofc). What i do when the MV come out is to google Maison because i didn't know this word, turn out it's a home in French.

I honestly think Maison is better than anything since Deja Vu. I rank it above all the Dystopia titles and BEcause. Even though the guitar sounds are mostly synth, I can dig it since it's used in great effect in Doom/Doom Eternal.
The piano bridge threw me for a loop, ngl. And I think the editing is far less frantic than the Dystopia MVs so the story is (mostly) cohesive so I'm digging that.
Also, all my girls are doing Greek Mythology these days. First with Taeyeon and INVU and now the Goddess bits of Maison.

There are lyrics on the TongTong TV showcase stage but not the MV. 🤷🏾♀️ Maison is fighting it out with Queen What for my favorite title track and I don't know which will win. The "tin" sound you mentioned reminds me of arcade machines and how the music is generally so loud that it vibrates the insides of the machines so you get that extra sound. At some point find a link for the concert because they all performed their solo songs and those stages were all really good & had cute interview VCRs for each song.

Song keeps getting better for me as I listen more, but the MV keeps losing me (aside fron the styling)..This MV would have definitely benefitted from a 10 minute story film.
I really hope the next videos in this trilogy explain the story a little. For example in the intro of the video you see people with animal masks with guns? And then they never reappear? Who are they
@@Thil exactly, first watch ended and the first thing I said was, 'where'd the micemen go?' haha. I can look past the cgi and green screen, it was more than passable enough, but the story motivation and direction was all over the place.
