When somnies said that "we would be their strongest soldiers", I don't think any of us were expecting to be literally struck by lightning... I guess paired with the constant state of visually and musically overwhelmed, it's just another day in the Insomnia fandom XD
Also, with how you listen to the song on speakers, my god does that bass line HIT
The overwhelmed silence when Handong and her glorious arms were the center, same.
She keeps saying she doesn't really work out, but if that's true, lord help us if she ever does decide to start seriously pumping iron.
The chorus hits so hard, it reminded me of when you reacted to scream like “guys we are part of a cult”
it’s kinda unbelievable these 7 girls from a comparably small company still hit so much harder than everyone else🤘🏻
It doesn't hurt that for almost their entire career, Dreamcatcher have benefited from having the same songwriting/production team of LEEZ and Ollounder. They have a vision (natch) of how to make Dreamcatcher sound as good as possible and have only gotten better over time. Seems like LEEZ is leaving to become Music Director at a new company but hopefully Ollounder and whoever his new collaborator(s) will be will be able to continue the quality we have gotten used to over the last six years.
@@Vektorix28205 highly unlikely that he would not continue to pay some extra attention to DC, much like other producers/directors who work on stuff outside of their company. But I'll be okay with whatever happens from here on out

I believe Dreamcatcher are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they are talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or I'm seeing things).
It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. It looks like a shield around the planet, and it could very well be, then I'm wrong. 😉
So, do we fight? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace.
By the way, if you shorten the album title, it reads: A:FU. So *FU* aggressor. Bye bye to this nightmare.
Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
Still shaking off the chills. The looks. The sound. The message. I'm loving this comeback.
I think this is one of the best Dami raps I've ever heard.
I do think the VFX budget for the MV went up this comeback, mainly because after having to pinch pennies for a couple of years, Dreamcatcher made a substantial amount of money with the North American tour and big festivals this summer. After paying off any debt incurred to help them get through the pandemic, and giving the girls big paychecks (we know from what they have said on social that the members ARE making good money now) the company is finally able to invest again in creative as well as business growth.
And probably after criticism of maison vfx, the team taken that as challenge and step up from there
@@izham890 I legit think that the "Maison" effects were dramatically better in the first half of the video than the second. Whether that was due to money or time constraints - I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me if the VFX ran over budget and they simply HAD to finish the MV one way or another. But it's clear that whatever the problem was for "Maison", it was fixed for "Vision".

The driving guitar and military drums did it for me. Vision is climbing rapidly on my faves list. The story is actually legible. Everything’s a step up from Maison.

This song is dominated by a lot of JiU, Handong, and SuA ~ They really got a lot of lines in this song at least, and I'm here for that.
I wish I could really talk to Handong about how she feels two years after her return from China (I tried at the Los Angeles fan sign but there just wasn't enough time for a good answer). Before she went to China she was consistently the least popular member and got the least lines, plus Dreamcatcher was a much less popular group. But now the group is soaring, she is basically everyone's bias wrecker, has never looked better and is getting more and more opportunities to shine.

@@m.s9972 Definitely some "prodigal daughter" vibes. She knows she messed up going to China, even if the reasons at the time were perfectly valid, she could have thrown away her whole career by leaving Dreamcatcher. But on the flip side she did grow a lot during and after Youth With You 2, and her absence really highlighted how she was missed by the members and InSomnia. The members wanting her back so badly means a lot to her - especially since she is unable to go home to visit her family.
@@Vektorix28205 i don't think she messed up by going to China. The timing was unfortunate but I believe having some activities independent from the group she was able to grow more confident in her abilities as an idol and it shows!
