Lots of comments on Serjs voice. Coming from a rock singing background I think hes had lessons and learned how to 'sing' instead of scream and is performing in a way that won't destroy his voice and he can continue gigging into old age. Band sounds great.

If you compare it to their toxicity performance at bdo 2002, you can clearly see it's not as energetic anymore. It kinda feels like they don't have that rage they had when writing the song anymore.

He sung with his chest voice for some reason which meant he sung a LOT higher, he probably can't pull of the growl as good as he did in his prime, but it still seemed to me like he sung it with little to no actual effort to actually sing the parts like they were meant to, that may just be me. Still going strong Serj, and SOAD as a whole, good job guys

For whoever needs to hear this, when I was a kid in order to get up to a high B I had to scream that note. It sounded cool I guess. As I matured, my range actually increased and I can now hit that note without screaming and it feels more natural to do it that way. I don’t know what my vocal wear and tear is compared to his, but I’ve performed a lot of long hours.
That said, I believe this is what has happened to Serj and he’d be incredibly dumb to force/scream the note if he doesn’t have to. Maybe he even worked with a vocal coach to do this.
