Bro super proud of you for finding a way to contribute and advance development of the project … all I ever do for the community is talk shit and post SFVI replays lol
I'm surprised there isn't some method to save frame perfect input recordings like a tool assisted speedrun to make these "random" crashes reproducible. If the core is deterministic It could be as simple as opening the OSD after a crash and saving the inputs to a file that can be used for playback on reset like old school demo files.
Nice investigative work! Do you think this could fix other games like Jet Force Gemini? I love the N64 core so much, but it’s a real bummer it’s not 100 percent.
Could it have to do with having the expansion pak. Idk if you can toggle it on and off in the core really need to update my mister. I vaguely remember games having issues with the expansion pak but maybe I’m remembering wrong.
Did mister ever get a dongle for composite output? Seems weird they wouldn’t prioritize that as that’s what most old game systems like ps1 were designed for.
bugs found here are symptoms of problems in the core that could be affecting any number of other games in ways that aren't as visible. Being able to reproduce a bug reliably means fixes can be tested quickly. Understanding the crash means understanding the involved systems, making the search easier.

Haha and that’s why I love you and always tag you in my dirtiest jokes on the server
@@VideoGameEsoterica never change dawg!
I never will 🤣
Love the work you're doing on this. It'll be awesome if we can find a way to knock one more game onto the fully playable list!
You missed a chance to use detective Pikachu in your thumbnail!! Nice work by the way
Damn it now you say something lol

Would just need more built into the core and it’s already maxing out the FPGA
Fantastic work, I hope that it can be of value to the core!
PS: It says the discord link is expired when I try to join.
One more testing vid coming
I gotta fix that : discord.gg/yCegVPAm

JFG is a lot worse so I don’t know how much of this will be useful for it
Have you considered some way of recording and playing back button presses so that you can reproduce your gameplay?
I have and I am looking into it

I think there was one game that didn't work with it, now that you mention it.
I’ll have to check
Supreme Work !!!! So hopefully soon we can play this gem in gaming history freezeless ❤
That’s the hope :)
I had to lol when you just casually say "and as we throw the sweetcorn into the poo..." It also seems I still have the mentality of a 12 year old.
Haha as do I. I just don’t indicate it. I play it straight in VO because I find it funnier
What Master piece 😊
Thx👍
Glad you enjoyed
Now do battle for naboo :)
Haha this still isn’t done. But maybe

Yes we’ve had one for awhile
VGE does what Piep don't.
🤣 nice. But Robert has done more than I could ever do in this lifetime on coding. I’m garbage at it
I don't fully 'get' putting any effort into troubleshooting this specific game, but I do appreciate that it's happening.

I mean at the end of the day you can just play it on Rare Replay and have a great time. I just don’t like unanswered questions lol
So much easier
I might be alone in this thinking but this is practically the number one game on the n64 in my opinion so knowing it does not work bothered me.
Some people love it, some people are meh. One of those games
