They should have won. Danny is probably the best male celebrity the show has ever had. And Oti's choreographies are masterpieces. I'm so upset.
Because he wasn't an amateur, stage school types shouldn't be involved.

I think Danny Mac is probably the finest celebrity dancer this show has ever seen. I thought Abby Clancy was fantastic in 2013, but Danny was even better. His show dance with Oti was breathtaking. He was the real winner. Doesn't matter what the vote said.
They were robbed, in my opinion.
I agree that he's the best Strictly contestant ever. His nerves made him choke on the night, more in the Quickstep than in this though I can even see it in this dance. I'm still not over it 5 years later but I am glad he managed to get into musical theatre off the back of Strictly.
The true winners of that season and the best male celeb Strictly has ever had. They were sensational dancing together.

For me, you can clearly see who is most popular and who should have won by seeing the views on each couples dances. It's clear that Danny and Oti provide the most entertaining and amazing dances/choreography and I am extremely disappointed that they didn't win. Who cares if Danny has had more dance experience? At the end of the day it is a dancing competition, not the "who improves the most" competition. Overall very upset for Danny and Oti!
Hated lens dig about previous dance training, Louise was a judge on so you think you can dance for crying out loud.
Ore was the most popular and that's why he won and the BBC has no reason to "fix" it so a less popular contestant wins because they'd lose viewers. Strictly is an entertainment show with minor celebrities and people vote for who they like, not who is the "technically" the bestl

I am absolutely gutted danny and oti didn't win. they gave the show something it's never seen before. oti's choreography was insanely amazing, so fresh and intense and just always had the wow factor. Danny dances so beautifully with such authenticity and charisma. I am so sad they didn't win. they are the true winners and it's their performances we will never ever forget. the best routines, the best dancing and the best partnership ever on strictly. I genuinely feel so sad and feel they have been robbed

Well, Danny messed up and the public noticed that. He is an amazing dancer, one of the best the show has had, but under pressure he cracked - at least Louise didn't win!

Correction at least Kevin didn't win, I'm not thrilled about a Clifton win - but I console myself with the thought that it could've been worse..
He didn't crack and the public didn't notice any mistake until the judges made comments. Yet they never actually said what the mistake was. They can choose to make comments about mistakes or keep quiet. Danny and Oti always had to meet a higher standard than the others which made it unfair that they were by far the best out of the three. In the US they would have won because of their brilliant dancing overall and the degree of difficulty it took to pull of those amazing routines. That quickstep didn't suffer for any slips.
Deb C I saw straight away - it was obvious, even if the judges hadn't pointed it out.
But I don't think it was cracking under pressure, it was the fact that Oti changed the choreography to get him on the dancefloor an into hold quicker - because Len had criticised the "faffing abaht"..
And Craig said exactly what went wrong - he was off time on the first set of Pendulums and also immediately after the Running Promenade..
Ore was wonderful too.. They were both worthy winners, and I was happy for either to win. Danny has thrilled me every week, but this week Joanne choreographed very clever routines which played to Ore's strengths, while Oti continued to stretch Danny and pull him into uncharted territory. I think given the choice and the benefit of hindsight, Danny would still have chosen to be challenged, to learn and be enabled to grow as a dancer than to have played it safe simply to win the competition.
These two are breathtaking together, absolute surrender and magical perfection. I'm gutted they didn't win and even more gutted I won't see them dance so passionately and amazingly week after week. Love them, my all time favourite and I've seen dance competitions from so many different countries growing up, and still these 2 will always be remembered as the BEST.

Totally and utterly agree - they were the best couple EVER on SCD and I won't watch it again with as much passion because I felt completely let down by the BBC that Danny and Oti didn't win. For me...they're the real winners!!

Was so disappointed this wonderful partnership never won. I feel Len Goodmen's comments were out of line though, you cannot invite celebrities to compete on your show, and then make comments that celebrities with no previous dancing experience are the "spirit of strictly", if you feel like that, then simply do not invite those with experience of any kind and make it an even playing field from the start. With that said though, I feel blessed to have witnessed Danny & Oti, and more so, very pleased that Oti was paired with a partner where she was able to showcase how talented she is (I would say she is the most talented professional dancer SCD has had). Ms Mabuse... you were the real winner of this series, and Mr Mac thank you for never letting her down.

Danny & Oti's BBC Strictly videos have more views and likes than Ore and Joanne's. People clearly enjoyed Danny and Oti's dances the most. I tried three times to vote for DOti and couldn't get through. What I will say on a positive note is that Oti's choreography was unsurpassed and Danny was her perfect dance partner. They moved as one. So compelling to watch. There was many times when I literally stopped breathing because watching them dance was magical...pure poetry and high art. They made me feel something, they are the true winners. I will never forget this series, I would love to see them dance live.

Er no, it doesn't mean that at all :) The number of views and likes cannot be compared in that way, especially when people will be watching across multiple videos and watching for different reasons.
For example, search YT for "Danny Mac Showdance" and you'll find 3 videos with about 151,000 views in total, whereas search for "Ore Oduba Showdance" and you'll find only 2 videos with about 160,000 views in total.
Compare the 'likes' and yes there's more for Danny, but I would expect that given the result of the final and the reaction of certain Danny fans :)
*Still, they were absolutely superb together, hence if you're in the UK then you really should consider booking tickets for "Strictly Come Dancing Live", since that will probably be your only opportunity to ever see Danny and Oti dance together live*.

My mum is a huge fan of Strictly, hence I'm considering surprising her with tickets to that show in a few months if there are seats available (she adores Ore and loves Kevin :-)).

This just proves that Danny and Oti should have won. All the finalists were amazing but you really can't tell the difference between these two of who's the professional and they have AMAZING chemistry! As much as I love love love strictly it always seems that the couple that you want to win ,don't. Winners in my eyes xx
I knew this was going to be amazing. Oti deserves so much credit for her choreography it was breathtaking and creative without being cliche to the song choice. Oti used to do latin show dance so I knew this would be up her street. Ever since her jive with anthony last season I knew she was a good choreographer its just so great she had a partner this year with so much talent .

My favourite show dance possibly ever. Oti is a fantastic choreographer and I loved the set up and story of this dance. I was happy to see that this year there was a lot of dancing from all couples and not just lifts aswell. Brilliant final this year 💜

It’s been a year and I still watch Oti and Danny’s performances from time to time. What a partnership! They should’ve won that year.

Watching danny dance has been an absolute joy. By far the best dancing ever seen on the show. Danny not only comes across as a talented person but also really warm, sweet, kind and very genuine. Oti really pushed him with some tough routines and it's clear both of them never took the easy route or just settled. They put so much hard work and created some unique unforgettable routines which are on a whole different level to anything else we've seen on any series in strictly. Oti has created the best choreography ever to be seen on strictly and honestly no one other then danny could of pulled that off. Its been so refreshing watching otis routines.. they are intense and fiery and classy and just so fresh and different to anyone else. She is by far the best choreographer. To me danny is the winner of this show.. he's given it something no one else ever has.. he's raised the bar so high and pushed himself to limits I haven't seen anyone else be able to. Stunning routines. Stunning dancing. Stunning partnership. It's been clear as day and has been since day 1 how much he's pushed himself and how talented he is and what a nice guy he is. I really wish my votes had been enough to make him the winner. But regardless of the outcome... he is the real winner. We will never forget any of those beautiful dances. Sending lots of love and also thanks. I have completely been blown away and fallen totally in love with all of Danny's and otis performances
WHAT A DANCE!! Danny was robbed that year he definitely deserved to win!! The best male celebrity the show has ever had. He was the real winner and no one can tell me otherwise! Can we just talk about queen Oti's choreographies I mean...MASTERPIECES week after week-they were incredible!!! They should've won! 4 years and I'm still pressed!
This is up Danny's street, so show-biz, so West End! I love the drama. It could have been the Bacofoil moment but Oti did the dramatic just right. They danced to the edge, we can see that it would have gone wrong, but they were on the right side of right this time and the end result is EXPLOSIVE. Definitely a ten!
Scd Observer it annoyed me because it seems like oti plagiarized Peter Andre and Janette's Charleston... :/ it was good but... it kinda ruined it for me- even tho I love Oti as a choreographer normally :( :/
I loved Ore's showdance the best but this one wasn't bad at all. There was a lot of risks involved from Oti to do such an explosive style, it could have gone pear-shape into the Puppetgate or Bacofoil, but it wasn't.

Ore won because Len loved him, as he was the only one who didn't have 'dance training'. Since he was leaving, the producers probably gave it to Ore to win. Honestly, I don't give a toss about who had dance training and who hadn't. I'd backed Danny to win from day 1. But, he'll always be a winner in my eyes, as well as a winner in Craig's eyes, as he now wants Danny to participate in his Broadway shows.

Cecilia Lobo and Claudia didn't have dance training. Gymnastics is so different, I have seen it in my dance lessons- gymnasts have to retrain their bodies to dance

I accept that Danny had some dance experience! But he didn't just sit back and say, well I know I have talent so I won't try as hard. For me Danny and Oti are one of the most dynamic couples ever on strictly. She pushed him so hard and he excelled. Their dances had risk factor, they were often on the edge where it could possibly go wrong! It had me on the edge of my seat. I've loved every moment, they were 100% the best. And Oti's choreography was superb. How anyone beat them is beyond me!!

Danny and Oti were truly the best dancers strictly Come Dancing has ever had or seen, and to my horror and the horror of most professionally honest people they did nit win. Oti needs to bring her talent to a professional dance area a that will appreciate her superb first class creative dance talent. Danny, he done so well it's embarrassing he did not win. I I wish Oti and Danny great success in the future and advise them not to let this madness stop them. Best show dance I've seen on Strictly ever. Oti's choreography is breathtaking and Danny is an amazing dancer. There is always so much passion, drama, and story telling in every move of every one of their dances. Yes I'm a bit gutted he didn't win as they really deserved to, but in my eyes BOTH Ori and Danny won this. Danny and Oti produced the best Samba ever seen on the show and like Len said, Danny was the one the others had to beat. I hope we get to see him dance more, or even better become a dancer and join the pros nxt year. Fab-u-lous!
This is what you call a SHOWdance- so many different tricks, techniques and nuances in one routine! It's just incredible he was able to pull stuff like this off as an amateur. Louise's showdance was pretty much Kevin carrying or twirling her around and though Ore's showdance was very creative and he has excellent timing, this showdance here was just in a different league! #Robbed
Hopefully, as in so many cases where the best did not win the title , Danny will go on to much greater things than Ore. Danny and Oti are the ones people are talking about and the ones people are viewing - the real winners.

I'm genuinely so sad for Danny and Oti. I know they did so well to get to the final, and they're both such lovely people that they'll be genuinely happy for Ore etc. But they worked SO hard and put everything into their dances, I just wish the public hadn't punished them because Danny went to drama school.

I'm a guy who doesn't pay much attention to these things but watched the strictly final to entertain my other half and boy did the British public get it wrong! Ore won and he earned it fair and square; but Danny deserved it, the best dancer did not win, the best BBC presenter won, I called it beforehand and am not surprised in the slightest.
This was absolutely incredible, Danny should have won based on this dance alone!

Guys I've said this in his samba video he was up against Clifton's not one but two so of course he had no chance I still don't get why some people can't see it and why some are shocked, producers made their mind up after last years final ended with Jay and Aliona graciously winning. So this whole strictly series was just to provide viewers with something to see nothing else.

Danny and Oti should have won but I knew that they wouldn't. Although Ore won, Danny and Oti will be remembered as one of the best partnership to ever take part in Strictly. All of their routines were amazing. Plus they had a good partnership off the dancefloor.

Gahhh, this was INCREDIBLE!!! I was so desperate for him to win, knew I should've called as well!! So annoyed! Once again the best dancer is robbed! Ore is good of course; people voted for him more on the basis that he had a "journey" and no performance training, but Danny has ALWAYS been on a completely different level to everyone else. Makes me so mad!

I never was one who believed in "the show is a fix" and I still just can't see why they should do it but something's just not fitting together here... Can it really be possible that only Danny fans come and watch his dances back on youtube and all the other thousands of Ore fans just vote for him but never watch his dances back? Really????

tinthepark tinthepark Agree with Luke, reason why the BBFix it wanted Danny Mac was purely for the viewing figures. They're not stupid. Give Ore some experience, suggest he is a complete newbie, pair him with a Clifton and get Len to give almost unprecedented support whilst all the time damaging Danny, who I think no one expected to be this fantastic, with consistent digs about his previous experience and you have the perfect storm. Nice to see that the BBfix it are going through their extensive contact list to make sure they watch the Ore and Joanne showdance which was simply not a patch on Danny Mac's. At least Craig has seen the brilliance of Danny and I think is in the process of offering him a contract, the first celebrity in SCD's history. If this is the case it is well merited and I for one shall buy a ticket or two to watch Danny Mac in a CRW production!
