No it's not African though and throughout time Brazil completely changed and is far different than Africa in terms of culture. Plus, Africa is a continent in which every country has a different culture so you'll have to specify which country in particular.

To score a perfect 40 in a samba routine is an incredible job well done and fully deserved. Completely captured the essence of the samba and its origins. The line between the professional and celebrity is completely non existent. They compliment each other so well. He takes the lead and looks like he is loving every second. Fantastic.

I mean, Danny's hip action is DANGEROUS. That 'African walk' he did!!! This is Mark Ramprakash + Matt Baker in steroids to be sure! I like that slo-mo Samba moves in the beginning and then two different rolls, voltas, bounce, promenades etc. etc. etc. It's a Samba masterclass! If there is eleven I would have given them! 10!
I was looking forward to this one - I had been impressed by training clips and Oti's concept sounded really good. But wow - this is the first Doti dance I have been completely on board with. I loved his QS but slight Tom Chambers vibe at the beginning irritated me just a little. Charleston last week had mistakes. AT was brilliant but I didn't feel it. But this I enjoyed completely. Also helped by brilliant music. Well deserved perfect 40.

I'm still blown away by just how technical it was, and how well Danny nailed it. I've heard pros on DWTS say samba is the hardest to learn for the celebs, and the hardest for them to teach, because of the bounce action. Which is why I think so many sambas fall flat, because they just throw a few promenades and batucadas in, then cover everything with booty shaking. Oti made Danny WORK.

This is honest to God one of the best dances I've seen on Strictly. Oti and Danny were so in sync, and so free yet sure of their moves, its like they actually spontaneously broke into dance and this was the result. Oti is a f*cking brilliant choreographer.

Way to go, i think i might be joining you in dancing, what a show! It was spectacular! Danny put in the work and danced magnificently. But i must say for years ive loved Bruno and his particular turn of phrase, he is always exciting, never disappoints. Frankly, I love listening to his comments as much as watching the dance. Ive watched the samba 18 times already. I love it.
It took 14 seasons to get the first 40 points Samba, and then six more years for that to happen again! Fleur and Vito's Samba is awesome too, but this routine is still my all time favourite. There's just some magic happening here!
Have loved Oti's choreography. Danny is such a terrific dancer and i think would have triumphed anyway, but the routines she has created has made for more exciting viewing.....she has talent and guts. Go OTI....you have so many admirers girl !!!!

I'm still bitter that he didn't get 40 the first time he did the quickstep. It was perfect and deserved 40. If they hadn't marked him down (for no reason) he wouldn't have gone that routine in the final, made a slight mistake and not won 😭

It took 14 seasons to get the first 40 points Samba, and then six more years for that to happen again! Fleur and Vito's Samba is awesome too, but this routine is still my all time favourite. There's just some magic happening here!

I know ...they are quite the pair...i never usually think about anything other than the choreography and the music, but with these two there appears to be a strong bond, which is lovely to see.

I've never, EVER, watched Strictly. Saw a clip of Danny and Oti on Gogglebox and, like probably half the country, have watched that clip a zillion times, freakin amazing dancing and Magalenha is such sexy tune. Samba is just the best. Wish I could dance like Oti!
I'm struggling to think what dance Danny and Oti would like to do again in the final because this is another perfect performance. I believe he will win this competition easily!

I'm still bitter that he didn't get 40 the first time he did the quickstep. It was perfect and deserved 40. If they hadn't marked him down (for no reason) he wouldn't have gone that routine in the final, made a slight mistake and not won 😭

I have to whole heartedly agree with the comment that Oti and Danny were the most iconic dancers EVER to Grace the floor with their Class Above A dances. No one has stood to beat them yet🌟.
