Great video mate. That jet place had a few nice cars but the vans really good nick for its age as didn't see any rust on the walk around Look forward to the next part Thankyou
Great model the Falcon Xg. I had a 1995 Xg falcon utility for years , great car . I replaced a few door handles over the years and a few head gaskets as well . Great find . Any model Falcon panel van in good condition are getting very hard to find now
They are hard to find now, especially with a straight rust free body. I know what you mean about the dreaded door handles as I had a neat xe fairmont many years ago. Thanks for watching and keep an eye out for part 2
The door handles for those type of Falcons were an fragile abomination & made my own heavy duty , the handle part from 3mm gal angle & the entire thing an gorilla would have had an hard time to break
Love me old xf, xg falcons .. had tons of em . Five speed with aircon n power steering be worth friggin about with even if you gotta pull motor down. Always had vans n wagons cos you always had a bed out on the piss . Good stuff.
I have a suspicion the motor will be fine, I’ll be getting over to spend some time on it this weekend as well. I also love panel vans, I think of it as a smaller version of my troopy as you can sleep wherever you park it with no setup time. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching
Yeah mate, keep us informed on the progress. The gold snowflakes are a cool set of wheels to have (wouldn't mind them myself) if you're into resto style. Check the relay's over as they may be dodgy or dirty in regards to fuel pump issue. Good luck troopy guy. Cheers.
Thanks, yeah the snowflakes are a nice rim but I have other plans for wheels . Definitely checking right over in regards to the fuel issue. Will do an update vid next week. Thanks for watching
These engines commonly have a head gasket issue at around the 250 to 300,000 mark. begins with oil leaking around the front. Once fixed they are good for another 250,000.
Their monocoque design (no separate chassis rail underneath utes) saved my life once when during the wet NT another car coming from opposite direction Stuart Hwy drifted into my XF ute side high speed (them not me) on a corner due to a wet patch on a badly designed stretch & pushed the entire drivers side in half a foot & pulled the diff off its hinges . . the XF rigid monocoque design saved my sorry skin . . excellent tough design
Love it, last of the panel vans. 👍🏻
Looks tidy , great score and snowflakes are an added bonus 👍
Thanks, it is pretty good. I won’t be using those esp rims though.
Love the Lada in the background
It’s a little corker that thing. 👍🏻
Working falcon door handles rare find
Ha ha I did think the same….
Haha, replaced a heap with xd, xe and xf’s, lucky I got small hands. Think they were like $12 20 years ago

Great condition , even in the fuel tank area, a common place for rust in these models.
Mint looks rust free always keep them out of the rain
Definitely, amazing the difference keeping stuff out of the weather makes.

What state is that in? Any chance the Lada is for sale?
I can ask about lada for you , I don’t put locations up when owner asks me not to sorry.
🤔matching locks , door handles that work , doors not sagging , bugger all rust , .... how is this possible 😅 next ya gonna say the plenum doesn't leak
Well would you believe it’s not leaking from plenum, not yet anyway.
They don't make them like that these days 🇦🇺😎❤️🔥🇦🇺
Ain’t that the truth, thanks for watching.

I had one of those. Unfortunately, rusted at bottom of windows and the sills.
As they do, it’s very common to see rust there.
Dunno what you paid for it but looks to be a bloody good score.
I think I got it for good value price, not cheap but definitely not expensive either.
Panza! I love it
😎 mate rare funny to say that but it is now days
Yeah definitely seems weird but they are hard to come by now for sure.
Spraying a bit of WD into all the locks would have helped this process.
I reckon you’re right there…
XF had a smaller an nicer steering wheel 👍🏻🇦🇺💯
Yes they did , I’ve already changed out this steering wheel for a brand new momo svo wheel from mick Webb .
I had 1 I uses wd40 mate sprayed bit of lub
Mate you should sell me the Falcon Van and bought the lada Van for yourself😁
Ha ha think I’ll be happy with the falcon. Hope you enjoyed the vid
