*UPDATE:* With the new Fortnite update, the X360 guitars can be recognizable to the game without any tools, you can map them into the game by going into Settings in the Festival Stage! But meanwhile the PS3/PS4 and Wii guitars are still having issues, they recognized my guitar but the game wouldn't register my frets or strumming. I hope in the future they give more support for other guitars!
I was able to connect my red GH5 wireless guitar to PC using a xbox 360 wireless receiver, however, tilt and whammy won't work at all. I also get a non-stop camera spin to the point it's painful to navigate the menus even.
@@MandyRocks i was only mapping with the game. Had to give up and finally barge into using Festival instrument mapper. Everything works perfectly across the board now with my only issue being how FN festival plays out (the timing window requiring notes to be pressed slightly beforehand and then strummed on) .
I did it with this program but im having issues with overdrive and I have to use spacebar which is annoying Edit: ok so I found a little setting right in front of my face called "disable tilt and use select for overdrive" and when enabled worked perfectly

Was lucky enough to map mine without any issues, but my concern are potential bans. I have not seen anyone post about getting banned while using it so that's a good sign. It just seems too good to be true lol. Thanks for the video!
Don't worry about it! I've been using this for a month and Emma said the tool is for converting the guitar for a Xbox One controller in the PC, so the tool doesn't have anything to do with Easy Anti-Cheat or Epic/Fortnite 😊
my download everything and followed all the steps and my guitar dont work in fortnite, iv uninstalled and reinstalled the program and it still doesn’t work😢
@@AceRuby005 I saw someone had the same issue with a rock band guitar on github. Try to unistall the guitar hero driver (just clicking in the driver and remove device) and unplug and plug the ps3 dongle again. It will install the drive again.
question, how the actual frick do i just use my gosh darn rock band 4 guitar? it works on clone hero just fine but there is no direction in fortnite to get the sum bih to work.
Check what driver you guitar has and open the tool to map the controls. Remember to enable the developer mode or it won't recognize. If your rock band 4 guitar is jaguar from Xbox One, you'll be needing the Xbox One Wireless Adapter for PC 🙂
I am having trouble setting up my PS2 guitar from guitar hero, it is wired and I use an adapter to usb, it is always saying that there is no devices, any suggestions?
if it's a third party guitar, try to find the driver on internet. If it's a guitar hero/rock band guitar, you can use Xpadder to map the buttons since the game now allows keyboard mapping 🙂
The next Festival update will be released this Thursday so hopefully they make more support for old guitars but meanwhile you can use Xpadder and map the guitar buttons with the keys 🙂
If you guitar is a Xbox 360 guitar, you need to setup the Xbox 360 Controller Hiding (it's from the tool at 2:30). The game freaks out when it's a Xbox 360 guitar.
@@charlesfisher4657 Try to use another program called "JoyToKey" or "Xpadder". JoyToKey is the recent tool that players use for mapping controller to keys and Xpadder is an old tool but a lot of players used when playing GH3 PC back in 2017 (I used Xpadder back then). Map the keys for Pro instruments in the game and then use the JoyToKey/Xpadder for mapping the guitar with keys.

@@marcus12164 I believe they're not working in the game but you can give a try and see if you can map the buttons in the settings 🙂

It is only suitable for Festival, because I have the riffmaster (PS5) and I want to use it for GH3.

everything works but hitting the fret and strumming at the same time doesn't count as hitting the note
yeah that's the engine issue. You need to hold the fret before strumming in festival.

Unfortunately it won't detect my ps2 red octane SG with a simple ps2 to USB adapter

Gotta hide the controller, but even still it won't fully work. It works backstage perfectly but once the song begins it gives me zero input

swap device, idk how to fix this tbh ive tryed hidhide n it still dont work
try to unplug your mouse or keyboard, one of them may have a button stuck/ high sensibility and it's making the "Swap Device" pop up.
Now i'm needing to run fortnite in my cheap pc. I'm guessing this don't work on ps4😢
