Great video. I am looking forward to seeing the finished project. My only thought is that the straps may sag over time. You could have cut a couple of pieces of wood to match the contour of the back of the tv and used flush head bolts and wing nuts to secure it. That way, you can tighten as needed over time, and it also adds an ease of removal if required in the future. (So you can minimize the number of holes in the table) That is just my 2 cents, but as you know, I tend to over engineer things.😅
Also, we need to get you a crosscut sled for the table saw. Need to protect those dice rollers.

That is a good idea for the future. They straps can be tightened, but some nice thumb screw adjusters would be easier. But Shhhhhh....I don't want any of my players to know about the build. 😉

I am like Sergeant Schultz. I see nothing, and I know nothing.

It's coming along nicely. The safety straps was a great idea!

Thanks. It was definitely an easier option then making or buying custom brackets. I am excited to start the full build this weekend.

So I am thinking I need to post a disclaimer of"I am not a professional, do not do it how I do it" .... great point.

Ultimately, you do what you feel is best, but allow if you will some encouragement to do more if you can:
      1) this isn't painting or something where "do not do it how I do it" means the projects looks bad or turns out poorly. In this case, there is a high risk of amputation or kickback injury using it this way and a novice should not attempt it the way shown.
      2) you mention in the video that the cuts were sketchy and you made it safer...but don't show why they were dangerous or how you made it safer. Riving knife? Cross cut sled? Custom jig? A viewer wouldn't know.
So, again, do what you need to do but from a viewer perspective, this is a how-to video regardless of how it's advertised or caveated. A viewer may attempt to copy everything shown, assuming it is an acceptable practice. Cheers and thanks for considering.

I really appreciate your input and the time you took to provide it. I absolutely would not want to be responsible for someone getting hurt. I will strive to do better in the next videos. Thank you again!

Before Stain go over it with Sanding sealer, it will help stop Blotches in stain.

fun project, but my dude, you need a riving knife on that tablesaw and a miter gauge.
WoodWorking for Mere Mortals is a great channel for this stuff:

Thanks, I will check it out. I can no doubt use some advice on my wood working skills and safety standards. Thank you for providing the link!

I checked out WWDMM. Thanks for the suggestion. The table saw video was well worth the watch and I am now implementing the safety procedures!
