- for today's video, i invite you to come thrift with me on BLACK FRIDAY! (*huge* try-on thrift haul)! i haven't done this in a few years, so i thought a more sustainable and fun way to celebrate black friday 2021 would be to head to my favorite local thrift store and see what i can find from my HOLIDAY wish list/Pinterest board! i'm on the hunt for plaid, sparkles, velvet, christmas sweaters, vintage decor, and basically all things HOLIDAYS. make sure you stay til the end for a MASSIVE midsize / plus size /size 16 try on thrift haul at the end!

Last Tuesday I found a thin, denim jacket that was oversized enough for my plus sized body at a thrift store. I had been looking for one for forever and the best thing; it was €5!
Omg. The little provenance story on the back of the stamp picture. I love that. My grandmother used to do that. I have a tea cup and saucer that has a label on the bottom that says, “Julie brought this back for me from Ireland. 1962”

I really like secondhand gifts and I almost exclusively buy secondhand for Christmas and birthdays. I have been told by friends and family that they always look forward to my gifts. If you know a person really well, when you thrift for them and get them something they love, it means that much more to them I think because it also shows that person how much you know their clothing and decor style or what they love.

Grab some wide, red Xmas ribbon (maybe velvet?)to tie around the waist of the plaid dress - or a black patent leather belt.

I think the girl shirts saying “cringe-y” stuff is kinda fun especially the themed ones. I mean I wouldn’t go overboard with them personally but I can appreciate them.
Carrie! Have you ever had your color pallet done (ie warm autumn, soft winter, clear spring, etc) I think it would be really cool to watch you find your color palette and maybe thrift for it? :)

1: That sweater/dress with the giant sequin dangly shiny thingys. I would belt the waist, do a high boot, and maybe some dangly earrings? I think it could go full dress lol.
2: The spaghetti strap plaid dress that you said was from Walmart. I really wanna see that over a burgundy long sleeved shirt. You could definitely take that to a warmer colour place.

Be careful with Moo and the tinsel (and Layla) but especially cats, they like shiny string like things, however can be very dangerous if swallowed! Keep the tinsel up high on the tree!

I found a jonas brothers gift bag (featuring pictures from there late 00s peak) at a thrift store recently, I'm putting my friend's Christmas gift in it because she is a jobro Stan 😆 thrifting for gifts is a really great way to find things that you won't be able to find in store.
