I lived in Doylestown since 1983. I moved in when I was a kid. We lived in a house on Belmont square near Fontill, and when I moved out. I lived in several apartments throughout the borough above various shops. I apprenticed as a chef in my early twenties and lived in different apartments over time. It is a great place for chefs and artists. The Doylestown bar crawl is legendary. Doylestown is hands down. The best small town in America. ❤
@Philadelphiasuburbs I live on a farm in Northampton township about fifteen minutes out from Doylestown. But we are in Doylestown several times a week, though there's no shortage of things to do there.
This is a great video. I can't believe that I didn't know some of the most basic facts about a town I've lived in basically my whole life. It's so gorgeous here. I had to travel for work for about 5 years and there's very few towns that can compare to this place. If you have tons of money, Doylestown is probably even more enjoyable. Thanks for the vid!
It depends, the center of Doylestown where all the shopping & dining is has street parking, parking garages, & metered parking but if you were to buy a home, you would have a drive way/garage.
@@Philadelphiasuburbs okay thank you so much. I really appreciated your video. I was looking at rentals, but I will now avoid the downtown area as searching for parking can get old pretty fast. Thank you!
@@palmspirit1833 it really depends on the place that you’re going to rent some rentals offer parking and some do not. Please reach out if you need any assistance.
@@frankwhite555 I was hoping to find a decent, modest apartment, maybe a studio in the town center. I LOVE Doylestown. I'm a single senior living currently in Hatboro.
@@frankwhite555 I've been looking into the area to move. They do have higher rental prices. It is basically impossible to find anything for 1000. 2bdr (not looking for ultra modern places) usually goes for around $2000 from what I have been able to see
A good town, but not great. Parking Meters every ware, even outside Residential homes. Roads into the town horrible, pot holes , road cracks, uneven surfaces. Some roads have not been repaved in 35+ years. Now the Town is allowing huge apartment/condos to be built.

Thanks so much for watching Mark! Do you visit the center of town frequently? What is your favorite part of living in Doylestown?
Thanks for the information
Thanks for watching!
What is the parking situation like in Doylestown? Lots of places to park? No street parking? All streets covered in meters?

Any videos on Feasterville or Bensalem?
No videos on those specific towns yet! Are you thinking about moving to one of them?
do they have apartments at a good price?
Depending on what you consider a good price, yes, there is a wide range of apartments for every price range.
@@Philadelphiasuburbs maybe in the 800-1300 range

Ok so im in Florida and on a fix income i went to move there but can i afford to leave there
I would recommend checking out better places.net or niche.com where you can see the specifics of the cost of living in all
areas around PA!
Hey! I am Sveta with Berkshire Hathaway. Can I use your video in my Group about Doylestown? I will introduce you as a fellow KW agent.
No thank you

Good information, but I suggest showing images/videos of the area you are describing rather than showing you most of the time.
Thanks Thomas, in newer videos than this one, I show a lot more of what I’m talking about instead of myself. Thanks for watching!
Real estate taxes are too high.
Thanks for watching
this is a silly video... you never actually show videos of D-town.
I talk all about D-town! Thanks for watching my silly video (:
Obnoxious background music made this hard to listen to. I cut it off mid-way through.
Thanks for the feedback. I have very low background music on newer videos than this one. Thanks for watching
