PROS: Beautiful Scenery, 4 Seasons, great local meats and produce, housing much lower than MD/NJ/NY,Food and Clothing exempt from Sales Tax, not many HOA neighborhoods, plenty of Tourist destinations, plenty of hiking and skiing
CONS: High Property (School) Tax, bad roads and confusing traffic patters, Harsh Winters with Hot and Humid Summers, Cannabis is still illegal, high Alchohol tax

Cheese steaks itself arent horrible, it’s the bread that causes the issues. Bread in general spikes insulin, contributor to type two diabetes, and plaquing of the arteries. The meat itself is not.

The whole thing about the east coast being less friendly is a half truth. People here in MA, and NH is a bit more friendly but not by much but yeah the people were pretty friendly in PA, when I went. They’re alot more outgoing and easier to interact with compared to here in MA, from the standpoint of someone with Aspergers Syndrome. I have a hard time with social interaction around here because of that but the times I’ve gone to visit family in PA, nothing but good interactions with people. Perhaps it’s cuz it’s a more working class kinda state whereas places like MA, or CA, are more expensive and therefore have wealthier people who tend to be snotty or more standoffish I guess you could say.

I love your reviews of PA, but life in Western PA is not as fast paced and Pittsburghers have a reputation of being friendly and helpful. Unlike the "Water Gap" area which is more alined to the East Coast, Western PA and Pittsburgh has more of a Midwest (Ohio and West VA) mindset and neighborly mindset.

I’m looking at possibly relocating myself and family to State College in about a year. Any word of advice? Do 100% va disabled pay property taxes? We’re currently in Tx which is very affordable but for a reason. Looking forward to exploring the East
