2:48:10 I do love the idea that Jessie is in fact on her way right now to save the day, just noclip flying at 80mph with her jedi powers through the night sky. Makes for a fun image.
I think that as long as Jessie has access to the various Altered Items she can channel their abilities, regardless of where she is. Polaris was the source of her abilities and she had her connection to her before even entering the House.
@@danielcooper7433 The powers are associated with the objects. Trench (and as far as we know, all or most of the previous directors) were way less powerful, so there was no reason to ever use those powers. Darling mentions that the record with the launch codes was a coffee cup iirc (where Jesse is ripping table-sized chunks of concrete off walls and chucking them day 1). I like to imagine Pat's version, where Jesse is en-route but bureaucracy takes a bit to respond.
Pat keeps saying that Alan should stop writing, like this whole game isn't about why it's imperative that he doesn't stop. If Alan stops writing, Scratch gets to write unopposed.
Scratch needs Alans writing in the fist place in order to manipulate the story. Those warnings not to write are from Alan himself. At one point he decided it was best to just give up and sacrifice his freedom to prevent things from getting worse, but the dark place made him forget that he had made that call and so he started writing again.
Is there a part missing where Pat did Watery? The last part on youtube was We Sing and when we get back to Saga, it looks like he had already beaten that part.
@@TerithianOh god that makes so much sense. He asks "is that Huotari Well" partway through and I was going crazy trying to figure out how we know what that is before the Watery chapter.

Just a counter to Pat's Uber is super good thing is to remember the company deliberately doesn't seek information on people who become Uber drivers. There are people driving Ubers with super criminal pasts for violent sexual/violent assaults, extortion, kidnapping with intent to ransom/sexual assault or both and murder or multiple murder convictions. Remember that when this is brought up Uber basically say "Well sure but how can we check the pasts of people like some kind of cab company?" Uber was also a tech bet based around believing Elon Musk when he lied about self-driving cars being a thing by 2015, they intended to undercut cab companies, kill the competition then immediately fire every driver the second the magic car came out.
The real horror of Alan Wake is that it creates the perfect environment for those moments of pure, visceral fear when Paige turns the lights off in the office.
A lot of people ended up hating the Zorah Magdaros fight. Talos might end up being the same if it's in some way repeatable. Probably fine as a one-time spectacle.
@@questingmoo Yup, definetly seems like it. Zorah Magdaros is annoying because you basically had to farm it. Besides, I think Talos seems better. In my head I already see multiple ways to deal with the fight. Rain meteors on him, Envelop him in tornado, Snipe it with some end game-y Archer, Magick Archer skills etc. I don't think it's gonna be bad even if you repeat it.
@@questingmoo I vaguely recall there being a game where if you beat a boss fast enough you avoid permanent changes to the map but I can't recall for the life of me. Hopefully that will be the case here.
@@anonysalt I imagine that some parts will be unavoidable, like when talos is partially submerged since you wouldn't be able to get any weak points below the water

18:02 - Watching DD2 event, kinda.
37:08 - End of the event.
1:16:50 - Start of the Alan Wake 2.

Alan's going to be fucking around in the Oceanview and she's going to kick down one of the triangle doors and start throwing chairs at Taken.
Doesn't the director only have powers inside the oldest house?

Wait why was Pat suddenly in Watery with Saga? And she has the Clicker? Seems like we're missing a part here
