sometimes when you lose people, you arent given time to recover and heal. sometimes youre forced to go back into the world and do what youre supposed to. but it never makes it easier. you have to suffer almost in silence. thats what that jenova fight is meant to be. sometimes you arent given time to heal.

Will Aerith die in FF7 Rebirth? Will Sephiroth t pose on Aerith again to assert dominance once again? Am I going to face financial problems and go bankrupt and have my wife and daughter leave me as i slowly go homeless due to many debt issues? We will find out in the next episode Balls of Dragon

@John-dp2zt it was convoluted imo, in OG it was clear Cloud was "controlled", remake was confusing, was he controlled? Hallucinating? Was it whispers? Sephiroth?
@@josephstalin5374 they honestly kinda butchered this scene, they could've ended it with the first phase of jenova and had one of the best endings ever, not every ending to a game has to have music blasting and a multi-phase bossfight. the whole multiverse thing is just... on top of what they did to this scene, the weight of her death is lost bc she's alive in at least one other universe. loved the game but this one left a sore spot
One of the most meaningful fights here against Jenova.. I felt like I was fighting alongside Cloud... Crazy moment I'll never forget

This scene... gave so much more intensity to the last battle between Cloud and Sephiroth. Every swing of Cloud's omnislash in Sephiroth's fucking face brought me joy and satisfaction.

I finally got to this part last night. Quite possibly the most saddest scene I've seen in a videogame. I can see why people find this really touching. I actually felt tears welling up.
And I thought Crisis Core's ending was sad (When Zack get's gunned down)

I don't know, Halo 2's "Return to Sender" was beautifully remade for Halo 2 Anniversary's version of the same cutscene, I think SE can pull it off. I consider that cutscene one of my top three in video gaming history along with this tragic scene.

There is something WILD about rebirth.
Not only did they eat the entire cake of showing both a party and a kill… but also we didn’t see the impact like in 1:47.
But not only does it stop at the shock value, but also the emotion. CLOUD shows all the emotion there with his words. After being controlled so much beforehand on the Cetra Fortress, here he breaks from that and expresses his sorrow, making Sephiroth taunt him cause he wants to maintain dominance against the man that killed him.
On Rebirth, the proof of any words is put on the classic mind manipulation filter and therefore we lose a big chunk of the reason this scene is so impactful.
Anyways, multiverse is silly and actually not that complicated. Sure we are following a somewhat classic route, but the concept of multiverse is actually a slap to the lives of all characters, everyone might as well either die or live in the many versions.
Damn you Jenova!
This scene blew my mind. I'm not even a huge gamer anymore, but I was ALL IN for FF7 Even to the point I think I want this tattoo.

They really mangled this iconic scene in Rebirth, specially the dialogue. Cloud is going apeshit while Sephiroth couldn't give less of a shit, and just rambles on about his plan.
The part where Phyrra Nikos dies in RWBY reminds me of this scene. She and Aeris suffered the same fate.
I am not ready to see Aerith getting killed by Seporiah in the remake and hearing from people saying the director of the remake is staying true to the original ff7, so that means Aerith is gonna die. I am not ready to see Cloud, Red, Barrot, Tifa, Cid, Vincent, and Cait to see Aerith death reaction and saying there final goodbyes. And I am not ready to see Aerith going underwater to her burial place.
This is how rebirth is going to end. I can feel it and oh man it’s it going to be painful.
For Aerith if she died in part 2 there one more game for final fantasy and it done.
You're not supposed to win it. That's the point of that scene. Meant to show that you're completely outmatched.
Another example of a sad ending is in Shadow of the Colossus. Where the main character is sucked into this hole because he's been cursed. While you're being pulled across the temple towards this hole. They enable you to move about. Of course, that's futile as the pull is too strong. I've heard stories that people actually made it outside the temple fighting the pull of the hole.
Shadow of the Colossus was the worst game i ever played. boring as shit

Square Enix just played themselves by ruining this scene because they wanted a multiverse sht on final fantasy. Now it's sht. They could've seen us crying in 4k but no, they wanted us confused in 4k.
came here for more or less the same reason. i just wanted to hear the sad music during the jenova fight. i dont understand why they had to make a huge flashy fight sequence with funny quips during what is supposed to be a somber moment.

To be fair, the music for the first part of the Jenova fight was good but the transition into it wasn’t as good as I hoped and then they stopped using the song halfway through…

This is still my favourite video game of all time. I don't have a PlayStation 4 so i haven't played the remake. Perhaps I'd rather not
My fav too. But I'm glad I gave Remake a chance. My only gripe was the battle system was too much action style. I really like what I saw in the new trailer.

Typically a pheonix downs purpose is to revive a KO'd character not a dead one. Its kind of a grey area with dead characters, as there are spells like death.

Getting Killed So She Traveled To The Past And Swapped Materia

Never liked Aerith, not that I hated her, it's just that I never found Aerith to be a great pick fo Cloud, I am a big Tifa person. Even though Aerith has a cool voice actor

Tbf the game was already over 12 years old when this video was posted, at that point it was the single most well known death scene from any game ever. It’d be like getting upset about the Thanos snap getting spoiled in 2030. Also, the only way you’d ever see this video is if you specifically searched it up, this isn’t appearing in anyone’s recommended feed
@@Jolene007 there's a lot of people who haven't played the original or were just introduced with FF7 Remake. I didn't search for this video, it was on my recommended. I get that long time fans may want to rewatch this scene but it's just a shame for potential newcomers to have one of the greatest games spoiled whilst surfing youtube.
I also don't know what the Thanos snap is. I know he is the villain in marvel but I never watched the movies.
