I’m part of a system and sometimes if I want to communicate with someone and can’t hear them respond to my thoughts right away, I’ll listen to music I know they like or hold an object that’s theirs (like stuffed animals for littles) and they’ll come closer to the front and can hear me! It’s like a positive trigger but doesn’t usually result in a full switch! It’s more me reaching out to say, let’s share this activity/hobby together while we talk.
Sad to say... I use to use music to drown them out so I couldn't hear them. Especially while I was sleeping. They started getting louder the more I tried to ignore them. And this was recommended by my therapist at the time. I stopped doing it about a month after I stopped going to that therapist.
For us, we have a gatekeeper named Jade who any of us when we're out can leave a message for her to tell the next alter! She's the only one of us with this ability - shes been around since before the body was 3 so she has a ton of practice! It's the only way some of us can communicate b/c some alters NEVER check physical notes & thus miss important things. We like to joke that she's our answering machine. She knows we're kidding and that we are eternally grateful to have her in our system 💜
@@Liravin Thank you! Yes I know we are so so lucky to have her. She's pretty much the entire reason we've made it this far, and why it took so long to figure out that I'm even part of a system--she would fill alters in on what was happening so it didn't seem like there were memory gaps--until she got so exhausted from running the system almost entirely by herself that she went dormant and it became very obvious very quickly that something wasn't normal. It was so funny when I would try to describe it to other people I'd be like "idk what happened suddenly the voice who filled me in on things and told me what was going on is just... Gone? And now it's like I blink and suddenly it's hours later and I don't know where I am-which is normal-but now I can't just ask for help" and let's just say my friends looked at me like I was from another planet and that's when I realized I needed to go to a psychologist lol
I don't like to check physical notes either... One of our persecutors left threatening notes for us to find so it's kinda of terrifying to find any sort of physical note cause I automatically assume it's going to be from Simon.
I’m just really surprised that my system is kinda the same way. And by that I mean that there’s an alter that can semi communicate with the other alters at will
I have an alter specifically designed for communication! They're called Echo and they can travel all throughout the headspace (I can't go everywhere as host) and they go and say whatever it is that needs to be said :0 Or sometimes if I yell loud enough inside my own head someone goes "WHAT??" xD
tg- we have a headmate with a similar function (but more geared towards headspace function in general) called whisp who can find and pass messages to pretty much everyone which is nice -dave
It’s really validating for me at least to hear that Wyn doesn’t always have access to the inner world and her head mates. That’s sometime I’ve been struggling with because I freak out when I can’t hear anyone or contact anyone because it’s really hard to do so.
I sometimes have the same problem. Sometimes my System will completely shut me out. I have a really hard time with it too and it can make me go into a downward spiral. Have you and/or your therapist found anything that helps bring contact back?
Tan San using positive triggers can help. i like to use music, art, and games that are specifics to each alter. sometimes you’ll feel their presence and they won’t say anything, other times they’ll front just for a bit, other times they’re sleeping. i’ve gone around a month without having communication with anyone, i started to believe i no longer had it. i’ve learned they always come back though. they’re not as far as we may perceive.
Yeah same, I always thought something was wrong with me. I’m host and I exist in a part of the inner world we call the “dark space” which doesn’t have access to the inner world and most of the time no one is in there but me. I was able to piece together the inner world a bit as memories came to the surface from other alters, but I still have no idea how large it is. I also go through transitional periods where sometimes we switch a lot while other times I function almost like a singlet. I’ve functioned as a pseudo-singlet for a few months now. Sometimes I still hear voices but there’s minimal “risk” (it’s not a bad thing, I just don’t know how to word it) of switching. It’s nice to know others have similar (and different) experiences.
whenever we use telepathic communication or try to, we get so scared that it's not what someone is actually saying and just intrusive thoughts? it's hard to tell the difference between the two especially because we're still trying to get a proper and correct diagnosis and dealing with feeling like we're faking :(
Duck Fayce hey! I’m not sure if this is still a problem you’re facing but I just wanted to say that it’s super normal. I’ve tossed around the possibility of having osdd-1 of some sort (I think I probably do but I haven’t talked it over with my therapist yet) and have experienced the same fear that internal communication may just be intrusive thoughts. I will say that if you’ve grown up as a system, your perception/personal definition of intrusive thoughts may have been shaped by your system experiences - that is, what you think is a regular intrusive thought may be something that non-dissociative people never experience, because it’s not an intrusive thought, but a system thing. I’m not sure if that makes sense. For me I feel like the difference is in the tone and subject matter? Like if I’m watching a play and I think “what if I just ran onto the stage right now”, that’s an intrusive thought. But the other day I had what might have been a little come out to journal and I was like “thanks bro” and a voice in my head said, very loudly, I’M A GIRL. That felt more like a communication thing than an intrusive thought - it had volume, feeling, and intent, whereas intrusive thoughts feel more passing and mundane to me. Not sure if this is helpful but that’s my experience! I hope you’re doing well!!
JESUS CHRIST, SAME. but yeah what we consider normal intrusive thoughts may actually be abnormal to singlets, I'm realizing. Because I do have a lot of moments where the thoughts/communication just seem so OUT THERE and out of context that I'm like "whoa.. that was definitely [alters name]. But yeah, the feeling of faking it is absolute h e l l. I just recently got diagnosed and sometimes the doubt spirals into me just thinking I'm crazy. I hate it so much -_-
@@Anna-cu7iz for us, all the voices sound the same but I feel a different base behind it. If its an intrusive thought there's no base but say its C (a protector) the 'sound' isn't any different but I feel his strength and strong morals. If its a little I may feel the solemn sadness or the amazing energy and happiness. -K
Because some people in the hospital can't leave the hospital but still want to participate in meetings that are held in the Manor, we had TVs built into the walls of the rooms of the hospital. They're even able to be removed and can roll across the floor to the patient's beds if they don't feel like standing. That started out with just a few rooms but it was so liked that we ended up building one in every room of the Hospital in our inner world. They also have phones next to them also connected to the wall, the phones allow them to communicate during the meetings if they want to and the phones allow them to communicate if there's an emergency happening in the System too. 😁😁😁 - Ariel
I'm sorry if my question will look inappropriate, but: 1. What is hospital? Alters can get sick incide head? 2. You have, like, real manor and hospital, and, um.. maybe street's in your head? I'm sorry again ^^
I'm a singlet/singleton/not a multiple (whichever way you want to say that is fine by me), and everything absolutely made sense to me! I hope isolation is going well for you :)
We're usually pretty isolated anyway so really nothing has changed. It's also kinda of ironic considering systems are never really alone. ;) Though honestly I hate only being able to talk to my alters... It's like only being able to talk to a sibling or a room mate, some times you just want to get out and talk to literally anyone else who you don't share a living space with.
@@RialVestro I completely understand what you mean. It's as though you have been locked in a head with people almost your whole life who you didn't choose and now you have nobody else to talk to. It's really similar to having siblings although I think I prefer some of my alters to my brother lol.
We often struggle to contact each other. Mostly because our hosts have traditionally had extreme difficulty entering the innerworld and accessing more than the cockpit (our fronting space). It's to the point where we had to build a little sleeping cubby in the cockpit so the host could at least do anything aside from standing around behind the fronter while others are controlling the body. We don't have DID, we have OSDD-1b, so when an alter fronts, they sorta get a general idea of what has happened while they were in headspace. It's not a crystal clear image, and often details are left out but they still know whats going on. We never have full blackout amnesia. Sometimes doing things like repeating something over and over or creating an anagram or other traditional memory techniques seem to be enough to log something in our database. If we leave notes for eachother, we almost always already know they exist before reading them. Idk this probably isnt helpful to you, but I hope its at least interesting. 🍀
@Operetta System we've been trying to combat that by working Daniel up to being a co-host and it surprisingly seems to be working. We werent sure we'd be able to conciously shift the structure of our system. Its not easy or anything, but When Daniel hosts now I can leave front to an extent I havent been able to do since Apryl was host in our childhood! 🍀
Thats generally how it works in my system as well but we struggle a lot with that and other similar things as symptoms because it can make us feel like were not validly separate.
@@footstuck97 You all are not alone! I'd say thats pretty amazing that 4 systems who have never met and interacted with eachother share the same experiences. You should check out the rings system, they are an osdd-1b system who ya'll might really resonate with. 🍀
That’s what used to happen to me (host), I was stuck in a black room with a sofa, until I got access to a lake. I sit by the lake nowadays. And same with the amnesia thing and notes, although we’re undiagnosed ☺️
One of the first moments when I realized I had alters is when I responded out loud in a public place to the voices I was hearing at the time not realizing they where in my own head. And I got a lot of weird looks from random strangers when I suddenly started arguing with myself. I didn't realize till people started staring at me that I was talking to myself or my alters. After that I just didn't respond to them or would find some place private to talk to them because oddly when I was younger I did not know I had my own inner voice. I thought I could only speak out load and the inner voices were other people. I didn't figure out my own inner voice till I was a teenager.
We are a OSDD system who uselly use "telepathy" & talking out loud also some techniques we use called "shadow/sensory communication" for opinions and using a "daydream filter" to avoid overwhelm (explained below). Talking in the headspace and the inner world itself can be overwhelming for the host as she as a sensory processing disorder. She is barely/just (borderline) able to process the outer world from 2 decades of practice. Inner world talking is uselly like someone screaming in your ear, from the inside, especially when under stress, which is often, other sensations can be equally overwhelming. But shadow/sensory communication as we call it can help shair opinions. (Feeling that people like something or want to say something but it's like their behind you but you can't turn around, you can see the shadow, sense them, their desire/hatred radiating; or as simple as a headache). But isn't very detailed and is only good for sharing opinions, helpful when shopping though. So to communicate/explain stuff we use the hosts maladaptive daydreaming to apply a daydream filter to it which turns the communication from a scream to as low as a whisper. Head mates can also imagine fronting that we call "simulated fronting" and can lead to actual fronting. This is a common way the host can discover someone but too much can also overwhelm her too. We even have a fictional inner world we call a "paracosim" that contains fictional versions of some headmates often a fantasy or ideal version of themselves. This tells a story which is inspired by true events/people to help explain things, people and dynamics. She originally mistook this as fact as was her first experience to ease her into the idea of having a world and people inside her head. This was corrected by telepathic images and a sound, if the daydream filter is not applied it can be blinding/overwhelming. While a daydream filter has been very useful it doesn't help with the self doubt so we have been trying more conventional and direct methods. If you do anything like these or want to know more just say, or is it just me and everyone else things it's stupid. Either way if you spent your time reading are huge unintentionally ramble then thank you very much and hope you are all well, or at least as you can be.
I wanted to ask you, if you wrote something about your DID as one alter, can you surprise another alter if they did not know you watched this video when they get likes and comments on something they don't remember writing? This sentence might not make sense, I am sorry 🙈
That is amazing thank you for sharing! I'm part of a fairly new system and i really related to this, it contributes to a lot of paranormal experiences we hve had that coincides with the times i remember meeting some other alters
We also actually have an alter named Shadow who works emotionally and the only way he can speak to us comfortably on the outside is by wearing earplugs and being in complete darkness, and he can barely stand to speak above a whisper. But he communicates with maladaptive daydreams as well as intense emotions that "blend" into our thoughts
That's really interesting. I know this is an old comment but I'm tentatively exploring the possibility that I may have some type of dissociative disorder. I have a fictional world, characters, and storylines in my head. It's interesting to think that on the small chance I could be part of a system, those may be expressions of alters in some way. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
@@yoyoyoyo-lq4jb thank you very much, TH-cam doesn't probably notifi me on comments, likes, and videos. By the time I found the notification panel on TH-cam this comment was too old to see if I had any activity on. Also I felt the hug comment was a little cringe, as was written by someone with way more confidence and so was too nervous to check, but your comment inspired me to check, so thanks!
We wear a different necklace for each part of our system, and use them to help ease with switching and communication. We wear them all at once all the time and hold certain ones to trigger different parts to the front. Alternatively, we take certain ones off so that some parts can have space and stay on the inside on certain days.
In our system some alters have much more ease at communicating "telepathically" with each other. For example, it's very easy for me to get our emotional protector's attention, while it's harder for me to converse with the others. We're working on it. On the other hand, our emotional protector can reach the others much easily. Our physical protector has many problems contacting us at all when she needs us. I'm curious why some alters are more able of contacting specific others. - Raven (Host)
i think I have osdd (working on getting tested) and I find myself usually talking to my alts by doing this routine of just putting the body on a sorta "autopilot" to just pace back and forth and then either doing the telepathic thing or speaking out loud. usually a mix of both. it's sorta meditative in a way but without having to stay still which kinda helps to focus.
* Mirrors are amazing for external communication!...pacing too. * Emotional imprinting. Sending intent/emotion along with a mental image for context...mostly used by our otherkin * Somatics. We sometimes will use this as a subtle way of letting the fronter know who is nearby. Also used to make us feel more comfortable in our skin.
Oooh these are some good ideas! Thank you for sharing. My system communication is like medium-low (if that makes sense) and a lot of the mental/physical notes we make don't get through. The emotional imprinting is for sure a method we'll try, mirrors too! Can you elaborate more on somatics and how you use them?
@@Lynn-ee9hq Sure! Somatics/Psychosomatics for us is a way of feeling something that is/isn't there. Think phantom limb but tailored to each alter or for the techies (body = hardware, somatics = firmware, alter = OS). It's generally our way of feeling at home when it is not truly our body. As for communication with somatics. It is kind of like politely entering/acknowledging someone walking into a room while the other is on the phone. Except the room is your body and the acknowledgment is in the form or a somatic presence. A tap on the shoulder, a twitch, the flexing of wings, the flick of a tail, sensing parts that are not present, the feel of an alters inner world aesthetic, you get the idea. It is as much an attention grab as it is a protective measure. It lets the fronter know who is present/paying attention and able to step in or comfort. If it is important an imprint will be sent along to signify intent. This can range from a simple "hi", to "can I take over", or "Shits going down and we need you inside". Hope that clears things up.
OSDD 1b here. Our communication has evolved really. We use talking out loud, telepathy and notes to other. Our system is actually super dependant on communication and we have learned how to be a functional system pretty early on.
Same here- we think it has to do with how we formed to replace those disorganized attachments and to create a support network. Though there are signs showing up recently of more to our system,,,
I/we are in the early stages of discovering we might be a system and I have personally put up an internal bulletin board in the part of the inner world that I can reach. The only caveat is that for whatever reason it can be hard for me to read. I can tell that others have used it because I've come back to find more bulletins, but I can't read them. I can also only share and receive really short messages. It hasn't really been used in the past month or so and when I last looked at it it looked like it was falling into disrepair. I really like that unblending technique -- IDing emotions is something I have a hard time with and I worked a bit with my last therapist on that but this sounds really helpful. Thank you!
This puts our Primary front at ease. Some good tips on communication and knowing that the varying level of activity amongst ourselves is not an isolated experience.
We also have OSDD-1b (I've never seen so many others that have it and have felt really alone, btw, hello fellow commenters!) - our host began to figure out what was going on directly because of a version of an unblending method, and she goes back to it here and there to help out. Never heard of anyone who did something similar, but we do agree that it's super helpful, and not just for communicating with alters, but also figuring yourself out. Our ears pretty much hate music, but some of us will get each other's attention by singing songs or reciting poetry or something else repetitive (this is usually done inner world) - if it's done often enough and has some form of a beat, the message eventually gets through. I guess it's similar to occupations where people have statements that are basically work rhythms to communicate. It's also been done with bits of memorized information. A version of "telepathic" communication most of us won't admit to is also a....feeling?... of intent to physically comfort. Maybe best explained as giving the outside person the memory of touches meant to be helpful, usually on the shoulders. Once a little used the technique to do a memory-shirt tug to ask for something. Successfully got her way too. 9 years later it's still one of our favorite stories. All the best, stay safe!
A way my System and I communicate internally is by having a "in-person" conference. In our conference room most of us are able to gather to discuss issues we are having, give compliments to someone who has done something especially awesome, or (unfortunately) give out consequences to someone who has endangered the body in some way. For the most part, we try to have weekly conferences, but sometimes that isn't possible. Right now some of us have a barrier up so that we don't share certain traumas with each other while our therapist and us process them. Also, you guys are AWESOME! We haven't ever met another person with DID, so it's great to see and hear from another System on here. We really like your videos and find them super helpful. We live in the SF area and are definitely going to look into EntitleDID to Life!
With the whole social distancing thing going on, is that even still happening? I was planning on going to a local comic con in May as well but now I'm not sure if it's even still happening or being moved to a later date. I don't know if I'd be able to make to the event in SF anyway and I won't know till it's closer to November. I don't live there and would need to take the transit from San Jose... but I don't know if I'll be in San Jose around that time? My ex never gives me any advanced notice when we're doing anything which is annoying and kind of irritating. Point is my attenting the event kinda relies on my being in the bay area around that time.
@@RialVestro I'm not sure if it's still happening. I'm from the San Jose area too though, so if it is still happening and I'm able to find a way to buy a ticket we could ride public transit together if you want :)
Not a system, so I think this makes sense. It sounds like it makes sense. Your system’s videos are always very interesting and I love watching and learning!
wrt weird communication methods: we use a combination of thought projection (just thinking "at" eachother), a private discord server/some other apps, and a LOT of telephone-ing with alters that can access other alters/subsystems. since we're polyfragmented communicating between alters is kinda hell
osdd-1b, our memory is shite and we dont look at notes and honestly just try to remember things, many times well need an answer to sonething from an alter, and usually just take our knowledge of when that alter fronts, and make assumptions. generally theyre right but sonetimes theres no way of knowing, like how our little was excited to eat some of someone elses favorite chocolate, thinking it would taste the same as the memories, and no it did not taste the same, they hated it and were quite disappointed
We do that too... and it's gotten us into a lot of trouble cause we often talk on forums and stuff mostly about Transformers but keep relying on a crap swiss cheese memory rather than just looking up the info we're talking about. I even managed to remember parts of a movie I just watched wrong. Like I thought the tracker in the Last Knight was placed on Cade's truck but it was actually on Bumblebee and I got very confused later in the movie when Drift took it off Bumblebee because I was convinced that it was on Cade's truck. Rewatched that scene later and Cade's truck wasn't even in frame at that point and it was clearly Bumblebee in the shot. Still have no idea how I mixed that up.
@@schan4713 oh sorry idk how to help, we dont have amnesia like did, just bad short term memory, when we dissociate our thoughts are thought and then just vanish and we usually forget what we were thinking of we get emotional amnesia and have amnesia regarding our trauma (no clue what happened there we only know it even happened because of how the timeline is) but we dont get full amnesia its possible that in diagnosing you they didnt take osdd into account, my therapist didnt know what osdd was until i told them to look it up, which is fair they dont specialize in that, but after learning about it and me suggesting i could possibly have it they agreed
We tend to... basically send paper airplanes, if that makes any sense. I'm generally up front all the time so if I need someone who's not in the immediate headspace, I send a targeted thought that's generally shaped like a paper airplane toward them. Most of the time, I can feel my consciousness go along with it too. It's helped me see other bits of the headspace that I don't usually get to. That and there's a sort of intercom situation in the front cockpit space. -Ryn
paper airplanes ! We use them too in my part of the inner world. Most of the time, it's easier for us to materialise a thought and send it than desperately trying to have a conversation with an alter far in the inner world... To make quick choices, we've got a white board and each alter can send a thought (yes, no, don't care) and a megaphone to broadcast to all the inner world or at least the biggest part... (English is not our first language so, sorry If I made mistakes)
@@ikmin5462 That totally makes sense to me. We don't have a megaphone and our whiteboard is more a converted part of the observation screen, but basically, yeah. That pretty much describes what we've experienced too.
To overcome the amnesia between us sometimes, we leave sticky notes or messages around our room. Usually we'll put them where our glasses sit at night cause the body has such bad eyesight, we all need the glasses. We also have an app called Vent that's kind of like an online journal so sometimes we leave ourselves little notes in that
My system of 6 usually just uses thought noise for the most part, and haven't been able to use any other form of communication, so this is super helpful! If one of them can't reach me, they use the very not gentle technique of forcibly moving the body while I'm conscious to a safer or better situation. I'm really glad to learn your own techniques and I hope I can incorporate them into my system!!
A few of us can sometimes meet in an inner world place call the Lounge, which apparently is fairly close to being front. And also some apparently can leave notes on an inside white board. And also some can talk to each other on inner world phones (the landline type with dials, we are from the 60/70s before cell or smartphones). We have alters whom many call invisible helpers, who can give small prompts that I guess sound like a voice in the head. But as you stated, a lot of these methods are sporadic and not 100% reliable. We also talk out loud to others. The only method I personally can use is that I can sometimes hear info from known or unknown alters, but generally not communicate back.-Ss😊
This really validated me because I use some of those techniques also. Sometimes it's hard to know who is fronting so we have to stop and think about what we like and dislike and connect that to our real name (not the main hosts name)
Back when I could drive I would talk out loud and then switch (or be co-con, not fully sure) with someone else who carries on the conversation. Now we speak outloud, have thought conversations, and communicate while the body is sleeping
Hi, I’ve been diagnosed with Borderline, but I stumbled upon DID video’s, and the first time I heard about this, I was sobbing because it felt like it clicked..My whole life I’ve felt dysfunctional and like something was off. I have heard some voices sometimes in my life, but not that much. I do dissociate a lot and get triggered very often. Yesterday morning I heard two voices very briefly and it scared the shit out of me..I’ve been trying to find out who they are, trying to get them to talk to me fully but they won’t..today I’m very very dissociated, and I feel like a trauma holder came forward, she’s always crying..I asked who the crying girl is and that it’s okay to cry but then I got extremely dizzy, like really bad, and I stopped crying. I feel like this could be a switch by a protector? seriously I’m so frigging confused, but it also would make so much sense looking at my childhood...I don’t have any memory of sexual abuse but I remember I displayed a lot of behaviours that a sexually abused child does, so I’ve been trying to find out...I think I need to go to my therapist. You think it’s a good thing to try and talk to them or do you think I should wait until I get an appointment? I just really wanna know what the hell happened to me...
Have you managed to get an appointment yet? Not all therapists are good at treating or understanding DID but good therapy is probably the best option. I think you can also try to reach out to the potential alters in a friendly way and see what happens. Either way, good luck!
forestofthoughts Hi, thanks for asking. Yes, I did get to go to my therapist last week, but it didn’t help very much. I was telling her about how working isn’t possible anymore and how my day to day life is so chaotic, and she bombed me with “I think you have autism”, and started explaining what it in-tales for women and all... I related to a lot of it, but when she suggested starting up different medication I was hesitant...I finally got to the point were I could tell about the voices and dissociation, and she just said that the medication will help for that. She’s helped me out a lot with EMDR treatment for trauma, she’s the one that diagnosed me with Borderline five years ago, and now she casually went: I don’t think you have Borderline, I think you have Autism...pfff well, my mind just went: are you gonna give me another diagnoses in a couple of years? I don’t question her intentions, but it was really confusing and upsetting...she did recommend me a book and see if I relate to it, and suggested we do some testing. I am going to get a second opinion from a psychiatrist though, but that means starting this journey all over again so it’s gonna be a though ride...
Definitely gonna try that unblending trick; thanks for sharing! We use most of the other tricks you mention, but one that we use and you didn't mention here (I don't remember if it was in the other video) is that we can just pass emotions but intentionally. The emotional energy gets through even when sometimes words can't, so someone inside may send an emotion to someone out and then the person out can send a response. For example, one of our kids will often send fear/warning messages, and if we can't seem to get a good communication link to talk it through, I might simply send calming energy back. We combine this with visualization sometimes, so imagining wrapping a blanket around the body and around the person in distress if we can't physically do that.
Not sure why i was drawn to this video but i am glad i was. I have a discord severer that is dedicated to our crew (they began to surface in the 1960's way before this terminology was known to us absolutely hate being called a system "it's too technological") Each has their own emoji and being able to pull up gif representations of emotions and feelings has increased communication with the very young ones who often find words too difficult. It also gives a safe place for newly emerging fragments to learn how they can utilize my body to interact with the outer world.
Singleton here! Years ago, I found that talking out loud to myself helped me figure out my thoughts and feelings. Before this, my brain was this place of cluttered STUFF. Encouraging myself to word the things helped me articulate thoughts in sentences, to convey information in a cohesive manner. There was something about considering what to articulate, saying them, and then hearing them outside of my own head that really helped me connect to myself (in a detached, somewhat dissociated way) and become much more self-aware, which is never a negative. I started journaling at the same time, so I'll never know what fed the other practice, but I still do both, alone, in a space where I'm comfortable to speak my entire mind, hehe. Freeing oneself from self-censorship is an amazing practice, and highly recommended. It takes practice to stop feeling so self-conscious about it, but eventually you get over yourself and trust yourself without so much judgement. It's nice to really feel the saying, "You did the best with the information and knowledge you had at the time." :)
i found out that mirrors really help our communication. especially if someone is fronting and panicking, they can sit and watch themselves in the mirror and someone will talk to them from the inner world. it doesn't work for everyone but for me is very helpful.
Coming back to this channel after my OSDD diagnosis is so insanely helpful, thank you all for having the courage to post this stuff. As a frontstuck host, one of my boyfriends/fellow headmates is a gatekeeper with a lot of inner world priviledge who has posted himself between the front and the back, so me and my co-host can keep our inner world gatekeeper updated. He also helps with communication between myself and our co-host, as we're super blurry to each other as co-host is still new. Co-host and I have found that using sticky notes in our head has helped when we co-front when we can't hear each other. We ALSO also have little communication pads- like the ones mute and disabled kids might use- to text each other or type out what we want to face to face. They're super useful, because I tend to go nonverbal and one of our littles can still communicate when they're having a meltdown or flashback. Co-host and I are very slowly becoming clearer to each other, but sticky notes and communication pads work just fine for now.
It kind of sounds like working on a shared google doc. The thought talk would be two people putting edits and suggestions directly into the document, talking out loud would be like commenting, less direct would be emailing about the content without having the document open, etc IDK I'm not a system, but this was a really interesting video, Wyn!
I hope to god you read this. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I have just been diagnosed with DID and the journey I have taken to get here would have never happened without you and your videos showing me that I wasn’t broken, just different. thank you.
As a questioning system, we have pretty good communication. Besides with those who lives in the forest or underground. We usually do telephatic communication and suometimes speak out load when we’re alone.
We use a few different programs that let us text as ourselves through one account, which helps us organize our thoughts. We definitely talk out loud too, and write little notes to each other. Luckily, a lot of us are LOUD so communication hasn't been a severe issue.
Thanks for talking about this. Sometimes it is hard to explain System communication. We have great co-consciousness in the Et Al System, so the talking aloud and “thinking” back and forth is our every day, as well as “telephone” through our gatekeeper. Also, I’ve never used un-blending, so thanks for introducing us to that. -Nichole Et Al
Hello, we are a DID system, loved your video on communication. You asked that we leave comments of other ways to communicate. The very first way we started to break down the communication barriers between us (and still use to this day) are cell phones. We created cell phones inside (some of the littles did walkie talkies and one did a spy kid like watch that could communicate as well as many other things). So yup, we use cell phones to communicate with each other when we don't feel each other near by. Just like regular cell phones, they don't 'always' answer but we can leave a message. This also helped those that are mute in our system to have a form of communication, they can text message. Take care and keep up the amazing work. - Andy from the Encrypted Angels system
We're always co-conscious and we use all the ways of communication you talked about in your video ! One more is discord. It may looks stupid, but we have our own server, everyone has his or her room to speak (to write by borrowing the fingers would be a better way to describe it xd). We invited friends of us on this server so my alters can speak to them. I dream about my alter having their own friends one day. It's kinda boring being in the center of every relationship (I'm the "host" in charge of "external and social life and relationships". ).Discord is pleasant to use because it's faster than writing on a paper. It dosent need paper. They can use emojis or gifs to describe what they feel when they don't have words. And we can find easily what was said earlier in the days, months, or one year ago. It's reassuring for memory lost to be able to find who said what and when ^^
Marie Daudrix have you considered getting an app like Tupperbox? It allows you to have multiple “profiles” from one account! (With their own name and icon!) it might be really helpful since you use discord!
@@Thinking-OutLoud Hi, my phone is very old and we basically spend our life on our computer ^^ so I'm not use to apps iphones etc. those things other young people know XDD. Is it available with only a computer ?
Tupperbox is a bot for Discord that allows posts from one Discord account to appear as multiple users based on different tags used when posting. It's cool. We use it in our system discord. Everyone has their own profile pics and everything. It's not difficult to set up.
@@yokkosoneko Also, I only recently found out that I have a system (our protector/memory keeper/I-don't-know-how-to-label-him-he's-in-charge-of-stuff decided it was time for me to know, and a ton of people have come forward so I can know them in a short amount of time).. So far, I'm always co-conscious when there's someone up front (which is frequently right now, almost all the time), and I'm starting to hate it. It's so exhausting. Do you get tired being co-conscious all time time?
@@leewolfe2714 Thank you for the answer with tupperbox (i've never used any bot so I'm kind of still lost ^^ strange from a person who spend her life on a computer, I'm not good at it ^^ (by the way, i'm french, not perfectly fluent in english so if the app is only available in english, it would take me longer to understand it ^^) And to answer your question about co-consciousness : I get tired sometimes. I'll list you the reasons why I can get tired to explain more ^^ : 1) when someone speak inside the same moment when someone speak outside. People who dont know there's more than me in my head and body tend to think I have difficulty to focus.... And they're kinda right. It's hard for me to focus on the innerworld at the same time than focussing on the physical world. 2) When we argue. It's rare. Very rare. We tend to listen to each other most of the time. But when more than 10 people speak at the same time in your head. We get headaches. 3) To give everybody a part of the external life. Not easy to do. My role is to talk with other people and socialization is a big, big part of it. I think everybody has the right to choose if they want to impact or not the external world (by writing poems, drawing, or do sports....). And the more we are, the less it is easy to give everyone enough time. That's why we love group activities (when we play the sims2 or when we watch series, films, youtube videos...). It tires me to organize it. But organizing it makes me happy ^^, makes us happy (I've been corrected by Maëllys from inside xddd). 4) Relationships are tiring sometimes. When we go through blurred phases, or when we face passive influence. My boyfriend is very understanding, he loves me and loves the body, and made it clear that he don't mind other people taking control of the body, he agrees with us that it's part of our freedom to be who we are. But to speak frankly, not everyone in the headspace love him as a boyfriend... and sometimes, it gets weird ^^ (for example : We walk with my boyfriend outside hand in hand, there's a dog in front of us, so that the dog can't feel my fear, I switch and let Jins take the lead, and in one second my body don't hold my boyfriend's hand anymore and my boyfriends speak with a guy who walks maybe 50 centimeters away next to him.... Then, after the dog is gone, Jins let me come back and I say to my boyfriend "sorry Jins did not hold you hand for a while". Relationships can be more difficult with people who don't know our multiplicity. Suddenly, if some of my headmates say "I don't like this person, please I don't want to hear him/her, take us away. I often listen more to my headmates (like a family for me) and have no explanation to give... it's not always easy to say "i like you, but someone inside my body doesn't". We tend to make effort to tolarate people not everyone like, it's the most common way to live our relationships. But sometimes it's hard. I lost some "friends" because of my headmates, but I'll prefer that than loosing headmates for "some new friends" I think I've mentionned every kind of problem that we faced ^^
We are an OSDD1A system and our communication is HORRIBLE. As the host I am cut off from almost everyone, all the other alters have pretty good communication though. thank you for sharing your tips and tricks, we're gonna try a few of them! -Calle
I am not a system, but you guys always explain what you're talking about so well! I've learned so much from your channel! Pls keep doing what you're doing ❤️
I use dreaming as a means of communication. When I was 14 I started practicing Lucid Dreaming or "astral Projection". It's a form of meditation you're just asleep. I can see what they need, or are doing in the head-space during sleep, i can also communicate with all of them in our head-space "kitchen" where we have family meetings.
In our system we will use the techniques you spoke of in this video but, we will also talk with person one of us is married to in the solid word. If I have trouble speaking with someone in our system I will then talk with their husband and let him know what I need him to say or ask of someone else in our system. We've become very trusting of him over the years we've known him. He is the only we feel safest with. Thank you for this video. It was very helpful for some of us.
In my system, we have around 3 mute alters who have not ever, and according to our therapist, may not ever speak. It’s difficult to communicate with them because typically they hold trauma and feel very strong emotions so that is usually a big barrier between me, the host, and them. One thing we’ve been using though is to teach them enough sign language to be able to communicate quickly inside! Our inner caretaker/ system mom is Samantha and she actually took an ASL class a few years ago (before we know that we were a system) and is completely fluent in sign. She also has amazing communication with everyone, being a caretaker and all, so typically if one of our mute alters needs something, is upset, or wants to front for some specific reason, they can sign to Samantha who can then deliver the message to whoever is fronting. It’s a bit complex, but it’s worked tremendously for our system.
that unblending technique is going into my toolbag immediately, thank you! we joke about there being a "drop box" in our inner world. some systems have an inner world whiteboard or pinboard for important stuff, we have a drop box for notes and letters. people drop off what happened while they were fronting in the drop box so everyone else can stay up to date and not miss things. sometimes people forget to drop or miss on catching up, but it works well enough for us!
i love that you talked about unblending- our system has been doing a similar thing for several years now, since we read a bunch about IFS therapy and thought "Oh! Feelings check-ins to ask how everyone's doing, that's helpful!" we like to call them "feelings checks" or "feelings inventories". we basically do a visual check of our innerworld (kind of like a flyover but we can go inside buildings and stuff) and figure out where everyone is, and reach out to feel everyone's emotions. we rarely find EVERYONE, especially if they're far from our common spaces or in a deeper/foggier place, but we note their absence as that can sometimes mean things too.
Sometimes I come to watch your videos just to hear you say "You are loved, you are valuable and you are valid." Thanks for that. Also, we have a special meeting place in the inside world that everyone in the system feels comfortable going to. There are always cookies and blankets. It's the first place a newly found alter is always taken for comfort and support. It's worked really well for us to have this specific place that everyone knows how to find.
Thank you for your presentation. I'm not sure how well I fit in here, but if like attracts like, the majority of my friends and associates have been labeled multiple dis associative personality, bipolar, schizophrenic, PTSD, ADD, etc and often a combination of the above. When I'm by myself, I speak out load a lot. It helps me stay oriented to what I'm doing, making choices, figuring things out and such. I have a number of so called "imaginary friends" and I also talk with everything like birds, trees, my computer, etc. One friend, who's definitely a system calls herself "multifaceted" which I think is awesome. She helped me accept and recover a part of myself which I had "banned" when I was molested as a five year old. He is with me all the time now and I've promised to never send him away again. And lastly, what has helped me more than anything is learning to love and accept myself unconditionally. The stigma is gone. I hope that helps someone.
Hi! As far as I know, I am not in a system. I do however dissociate and have cptsd, a dream of mine is to go into psychology! Through your videos Ive come to really really want to focus on research and acceptance of DID and OSDD in medical communities. Your videos are provide extremely valuable information to not only other systems but to medical professionals and students. Thank you for what you do. I always (and will continue to) look forward to your uploads!!
I don’t have DID either but I talk out conversations I think I might have with someone or would want to have, I imagine what they’d say and I reply out loud
Made sense to me! It's so interesting learning about DID and how it works. I love seeing the differences and similarities between DID and other mental disorders. ❤ thank you for sharing
Yep, that's kinda the way it works. Mine use music in a big way internally. If there is music in the physical room, the littles are bringing and KayKyle starts dancing. Makes me giggle at myself. 💕
Boinging! Spell check kept changing it to bringing. The littles saw a tiny trampoline next to the tree on the street with a free sign. I can hear them with their boing pick up that boing. Lol
Inner world communication for us is kinda like.... texting? We have something we call the “Neural Network” that allows us to communicate to each other when we’re inside but not near each other. Our phones are also how we connect to front, and can act much like how your televisions act in your inner world. It’s pretty cool I think.
A really good app to have is Serif. It helps me and my system communicate with each other a lot, especially with ones I can't reach. Sometimes we use positive triggers to bring someone closer to the front. (NOTE: The system and I have consent to do this. We're all very aware that we only do this if it's really important. Always ask your alters first if they're comfortable with something like that!)
Me and my mates are telepathic ( along with talking out loud, journaling, notes, songs) but there are times when I can't hear them and it made me panic and question my DID. So this and reading others comments helped a lot. ^_^
This helped us so much! We do some of these techniques on days where communication isn’t the best for us. It really helped hearing that someone else did that too! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! ❤️
I am not a system but I thought this video was very easy to understand and well put together. I had an ex who has DID and while we were together I lacked the knowledge of what it was and what it looked like. I appreciate your channel for allowing me to learn and be better for those with DID who I may come across in the future. I also find your voice very soothing, so thank you for this video!
If I'm having trouble reaching back to talk to someone, or I know someone's feeling a tough emotion I'll often cope ahead for them by grabbing a snack/object they like and setting up a comfy spot for em. Just giving them the comfiest n safest environment to come out into.
we use internal communiaction mostly. I stopped finding notes once I started to just think to them. I imagine it like louder in my head or I'll send a letter or another creative way to talk to them when im having a hard time.
i have two alters who have mastered talking out loud to each other, and have discord conversations in text to demonstrate to friends what their communication looks like. they co-front, but they maintain control of different parts (maybe even halves) of the body, and they've explained that the system can all 'hear' you if you talk out loud. there's research they've found about your hearing being universal to your system, so they have to be paying attention normally - but hypnotherapists talk to alters and trigger them out easily because that environment is perfect for everyone in the system to 'hear' what's going on. so this pair of alters have gotten extremely good at talking in a very similar way that you described, like for cbt - but they can respond and have dialogues for hours, and they're bold enough to do it in public with a mask on because i guess it's the easiest for them to just use our mouth and talk. they once thought that any system could just easily pick that up, but we've since realized what a special skill it is - it's absolutely possible, though! (i've witnessed conversations of up to 3, sometimes i join in, but not everyone is as willing or able to do it. still wanted to share) i love these videos, they're very useful and helpful!
I find that you explain things quite well for people that are not in a system. Thank you for sharing your journey with us on here, I appreciate your system and the education you share along with the fun video's you all do. ❤
Talking out loud is probably the most effective to us. I sometimes pretend to be on the phone when I need to talk to various alters. I just hold my phone to my ear, talk as normally would and receive no ‘she’s a crazy lady’ second looks
I'm definitely going to try this unblending thing! Thanks ^_^ Other than talking in the headspace, we use videos on our phone to communicate (that's pretty much all our channel is).
I'm not in a system, and this sounds really interesting! Also I think I'll actually start using the 'speaking your feelings out loud', it sounds like a really good way to cope with depressive episodes and panic attacks as well! Love listening to you guys talk and share things about your system 💕 keep up the great work!
I dont have Did but i must say your videos are always really educational and the explanations are always very clear. I truly enjoyed understanding more about DID as other disorders and psychology.
Usually I (I'm not sure about the others, our communication isn't the best) "look" into the inner world and see who's nearby the front to talk with them, and inner me speaks to them as though the body might speak to others in the outside world. Sometimes I also talk out loud and they do the same. If they aren't near the front, I can't really talk to them. The video was super helpful! You're an awesome system
We talk in head all the time and out loud. We are so used to talking to each other like that that it is not even difficult. As easy as talking to any other outside person. if you address someone they usually respond. Never even thought of using meditation or any other method. Really interesting.
I'm not a system ,I don't have did, but I understand perfectly what you were trying to explain ^^ I usually talk to myself out loud anyway but then I'm just talking to myself. I usually even talk to myself in third person like "okay now you have to go and do that" or calming myself down from an anxiety attack etc
When on the inside we are able to think directly to one another. Now it doesn't always work if someone is upset or just really deep in the head space. But if I'm fronting and I need someone to pay attention and I am unable to just talk out loud we have certain songs that we can play in our headphones and if we hear our song we know "ok something irl is going in I need to pay attention" The other thing we do is we will start to twitch or shake our hand if we need someone to pay attention from the inside. We also have a big chalk board in our head space if we need to leave a message for someone else
We usually just yell into the inner world, wait until the requested alter comes close and then either talk together during a meditation in the inner world, or in our head. we haven't figured out how to talk to alters who are farther in the inner world yet, so far the only way seems to be to go inside and find them personally.
I love the idea of "unblending", will definitely have to use that in the future! We're really big on whiteboards and will make and check off to-do lists, leave little notes, etc on them. Recently we've had the idea of trying to create a big whiteboard/message board in the inner world, near the fronting room, so we can make and post notes when direct communication isn't possible. Quarantine has definitely given us a lot of time to work on bonding and communicating, so we're trying all sorts of new things!
Kinda similar to a system journal I guess but easier to have access to at all times, we have a system discord server. It's just a server we made and didn't invite anyone else to. And we added the bot Tupperbox (or the bot Pluralkit works the same) that way we can each leave messages or write something down or otherwise communicate as ourselves to whoever we need to talk to. This is typically better for non immediate issues. Like hey while I was fronting xyz happened or I told someone we would do xyz on this day, etc.
I'm a singleton who's highly empathetic. I think that I'll start using that "unblending" technique because I can pick up on and hold other peoples emotions inside of me and it gets overwhelming and frustrates me when I know that I shouldn't be feeling the emotions that I feel. Also, the way that you mentioned alter to alter communication with the telepathic stuff kinda reminded me of how the gen:LOCK pilots communicate with each other within the gen:LOCK system in the Rooster Teeth show of the same name.
We have a forest. We have an owl that is a familiar to a fairie alter and if we tell him messages, he will bring them to anyone in the forest (the fairie is the only one I know of but I think there are more)
D- I think there needs to be a bracelet that can have buttons for identifying who's fronting and a digital name tag sync with it. There's so many switches that happen so fast and I feel like that kind of system would help the system see that time needs to be shared and communicated slowly. We get so extremely stressed and tired because so many switches happen so fast
our system has a discord server with pluralkit, a bot that allows alters to have their own accounts, that we each check when we switch out and text important information to
We pass what I can only describe as memory bubbles to one another to fill another headmate in. Very few of us are actually able to talk about what we are thinking or feeling so we have learned to just send the other part just that. We take a copy of something we are feeling or seeing or experiencing or even a memory out of our head and give it to the other alter to view. - Misha from the trenchcoat system (formerly known as system default)
We have a radio type intercom set up almost that’s built in like a Bluetooth to most, if not all, alters. So often a way that my inner world presents itself as is different alters show up as different clouds of various colors against a black background. Imagine facing a sky full of fireworks with your eyes closed. And when someone’s fronting and needs to almost switch tabs into the inner world real quick we often close our eyes and let whoever’s near the front communicate what they’re to say. Another important aspect of our internal communication is that we often think in visualizations rather than words. If you’ve ever seen a moving picture in the Harry Potter movings- that type of moving image if often presented into the clipboard of my mind. Which is presented in almost a theatrical setup where people in the headspace can view it and are often prompted by it, even when that alter is trying to focus on a different task. Almost like a mental pop up lol. Different alters are often associated with the same color and cloud type in the headspace. I think they’re quite beautiful. Kind of like the representations of flavor in Ratatouille. I hope that explanation of our experience helps others. Thank you for reading. 💕
We use a discord server with the PluralKit bot. We all got our own little diaries on the server and our ex is in there so he can get more comfortable with all of us
I’m part of a system and sometimes if I want to communicate with someone and can’t hear them respond to my thoughts right away, I’ll listen to music I know they like or hold an object that’s theirs (like stuffed animals for littles) and they’ll come closer to the front and can hear me! It’s like a positive trigger but doesn’t usually result in a full switch! It’s more me reaching out to say, let’s share this activity/hobby together while we talk.
That's very clever :) -Wyn
The Entropy System yay, glad you like our technique ☺️
We do the same. We each have our own playlist that others can use when we need a specific person's help
Sun Tempest Drake Shine yes! We have individual playlists too!
She knows we're kidding and that we are eternally grateful to have her in our system 💜
this is one of the most amazing things l have heard so far about a system. you're really lucky!
@@fsociety2thearttrain let me know if you decide to write a book about it; l would so read that (*______*)
I’m just really surprised that my system is kinda the same way.
That's fascinating! I'm glad Echo is there to help you all out. -Wyn
Now that is pretty cool!
tg- we have a headmate with a similar function (but more geared towards headspace function in general) called whisp who can find and pass messages to pretty much everyone which is nice
-dave
Esterix Update: One of my alters turns out to be able to communicate with the whole system! Hopefully they’ll be as good at the job as Echo
@@mariahalizee I love the idea of using positive triggers! I never thought of that...thanks (:
Can relate

@@KitFinn133 I haven’t heard anyone else talk about voices sounding the same. This made me feel so valid :’)

😁😁😁 - Ariel
Ahh! I follow your Instagram I didn't know you had a youtube ♥️
I'm sorry if my question will look inappropriate, but:
Voyage System ours is very similar to that!! 💗💗💗 we also have OSDD-1b
We have some NPCs in our system. One of them is an owl. She is usually our inbetween and gets our messages around. It is like a telepathic way.
I love this idea. My littles are thinking maybe we could have a crow NPC for this. Thanks!
I'm not sure what I'm more impressed by, the level of self-aware detective work or adaptability/improvisational problem-solving.
Wyn is a ridiculous detective. If something is new or doesn’t make sense she wants to find answers STAT! -Kim Kim
Sending intent/emotion along with a mental image for context...mostly used by our otherkin
* Somatics.
Thank you!
How does the "unblending" communication tool working to sort out who's feeling what? That's fascinating.
If we do it long enough and focus on the details of the emotions the alter who is feeling them will come closer to the front. -Wyn
@@TheEntropySystem oh, that makes sense.
Can’t wait to meet you at the conference!!
I like the idea of a private discord server. That sounds way more convenient than carrying around a journal. -Wyn
@@TheEntropySystem yeah! it's definitely more convenient imho, that's why i started doing it
osdd-1b, our memory is shite and we dont look at notes and honestly just try to remember things, many times well need an answer to sonething from an alter, and usually just take our knowledge of when that alter fronts, and make assumptions. generally theyre right but sonetimes theres no way of knowing, like how our little was excited to eat some of someone elses favorite chocolate, thinking it would taste the same as the memories, and no it did not taste the same, they hated it and were quite disappointed
@@RialVestro lol can relate
usually for us its actually important things we forget, or whatever we just read
Hey can you help me understand how you were dx with OSDD 1b with a fronting alter and memory issues. asking bc I question my DID dx. Thank you!!!!
@@schan4713 oh sorry idk how to help, we dont have amnesia like did, just bad short term memory, when we dissociate our thoughts are thought and then just vanish and we usually forget what we were thinking of
we get emotional amnesia and have amnesia regarding our trauma (no clue what happened there we only know it even happened because of how the timeline is) but we dont get full amnesia
its possible that in diagnosing you they didnt take osdd into account, my therapist didnt know what osdd was until i told them to look it up, which is fair they dont specialize in that, but after learning about it and me suggesting i could possibly have it they agreed
We also have an app called Vent that's kind of like an online journal so sometimes we leave ourselves little notes in that
I'm s singlet and it made sense to me. Great video this channel is one of my favorites.
Sometimes it's hard to know who is fronting so we have to stop and think about what we like and dislike and connect that to our real name (not the main hosts name)
omg i felt so weird about realizing the tvs were there to view the front and here you got them too! neat.
Crew is a great term ^_^ and using a discord server with emojis and gifs is such a brilliant idea! -Wyn
The thought talk would be two people putting edits and suggestions directly into the document, talking out loud would be like commenting, less direct would be emailing about the content without having the document open, etc
IDK I'm not a system, but this was a really interesting video, Wyn!
That’s a good way to think of it!
Aloha Entropy system!! Came across you all last year and really enjoy your vids. So very educational and your system is awesome! Take care guys!🤙
Thank you!
I hope to god you read this. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I have just been diagnosed with DID and the journey I have taken to get here would have never happened without you and your videos showing me that I wasn’t broken, just different. thank you.
I am not a system, and the forms of communication you mentioned in this video made perfect sense to me. You guys do a lovely job at explaining!
Cell phones that let you leave messages? That’s brilliant! -Kim Kim
@@leewolfe2714 Thank you for the answer with tupperbox (i've never used any bot so I'm kind of still lost ^^ strange from a person who spend her life on a computer, I'm not good at it ^^ (by the way, i'm french, not perfectly fluent in english so if the app is only available in english, it would take me longer to understand it ^^)
And to answer your question about co-consciousness : I get tired sometimes. I'll list you the reasons why I can get tired to explain more ^^ :
1) when someone speak inside the same moment when someone speak outside.
I lost some "friends" because of my headmates, but I'll prefer that than loosing headmates for "some new friends"
I think I've mentionned every kind of problem that we faced ^^
We are an OSDD1A system and our communication is HORRIBLE. As the host I am cut off from almost everyone, all the other alters have pretty good communication though. thank you for sharing your tips and tricks, we're gonna try a few of them! -Calle
I am not a system, but you guys always explain what you're talking about so well! I've learned so much from your channel! Pls keep doing what you're doing ❤️
We have no plans of stopping soon :D
Thus far my alters communicate HEAVILY through singing, music and dance
i love that you talked about unblending- our system has been doing a similar thing for several years now, since we read a bunch about IFS therapy and thought "Oh!
I don't have DID but the talking outloud so that a panicking part of me can hear and try to calm down is one of the things I do...
I'm glad that's a tool you can use!
I don’t have DID either but I talk out conversations I think I might have with someone or would want to have, I imagine what they’d say and I reply out loud
As a non-system, this all makes perfect sense. You all are very clear and concise when you explain things which is very much appreciated.
It’s pretty cool I think.
as a singlet i found this really interesting and i can see how it works
(i've witnessed conversations of up to 3, sometimes i join in, but not everyone is as willing or able to do it. still wanted to share)
i love these videos, they're very useful and helpful!
Mental thinking has been our only way so far. You are right, not always effective.
Thanks ^_^
Other than talking in the headspace, we use videos on our phone to communicate (that's pretty much all our channel is).
I'm not in a system, and this sounds really interesting! Also I think I'll actually start using the 'speaking your feelings out loud', it sounds like a really good way to cope with depressive episodes and panic attacks as well!
Love listening to you guys talk and share things about your system 💕 keep up the great work!
ive recently realised myself as a system so it is so damn helpful to have tips like these cause our communication is absolutely terrible lol
I dont have Did but i must say your videos are always really educational and the explanations are always very clear. I truly enjoyed understanding more about DID as other disorders and psychology.
We use the telepathic and out loud method and might try the blending thing. Thanks Wynn! -Rae
I'm not a system ,I don't have did, but I understand perfectly what you were trying to explain ^^
I usually talk to myself out loud anyway but then I'm just talking to myself.
The loved, valuable, valid bit really hit me hard today I think I needed to hear it. Thank you. 💝
We use thought talk a lot but it’s difficult, and sometimes we have to actually talk. Thanks for going this video it helps a lot. -Sandbox system
We do the same thing. We talk out loud. Journal. Or even use positive triggers. Btw we love the shirt!
our system has a discord server with pluralkit, a bot that allows alters to have their own accounts, that we each check when we switch out and text important information to
Hey Wyn! Never been this early before! I'm not a system but all of you guys have helped me a lot with my own mental issues. Thank you so much!
So you all are amazing. I've been watching for a while and just wanted to let the system know that. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm definitly going to try the unblending you described! I think it can help me a lot for when I'm overwealmed, so thanks for sharing!
