  • I DON'T INCLUDE PIXAR MOVIES! NO MONSTERS INC, UP, FINDING NEMO ETC.
Sorry, there is no text with each clip. I think its easy to realise which clip is from what movie. - If you don't, just ask!
I forgot the Lady and the Tramp scene, sorry to all the people who keep asking. It obviously would have been in here.
again this is my opinion, its all well and good to have your own and comment about it. But don't take it out on me if I haven't picked your favourite. (:
I don't include Pixar-ish movies in any of my videos. The only 3D animated movie I include is Tangled.
DISCLAIMER: I own nothing, these clips are owned by there producers. No copyright infringement is intended.

So many people don't give Dumbo enough credit on how sad an outcast of a Son/wrongfully jailed Mother situation is.
Yeah it's sad Mufasa was Killed protecting Simba.
But by birth Dumbo was an outcast from his own Kind.
Then the kicker of the forced separation and wrongfully jailed Mother just protecting her child.

    • @JesusisKing77_7
      @JesusisKing77_7 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Michael O'Connor treasure planet is not underrated it's unpopular, there is a difference, treasure planet has a fair rating but is not known. Rating is based on how good the movie is not how much people have known or seen it. Brother bear is definitely the most underrated because t has a terrible rating even though it has one of the most powerful stories in any movie let alone Disney

    • @PoshRaven
      @PoshRaven 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Still think in my opinion, that Mufasa's death is one of the most if the most heartbreaking scene for one simple reason.
Simba was present when he saw his father fall to his death, furthermore, he even got up close to his dead father, trying to get his dad up.
Even more so, when he actually realize Mufasa is dead.
Just to put more sadness on top of that, when he calls for help, he sees Scar, who firstly blame Mufasa's death on Simba (imagine as a child, hearing that news, first seeing your dad fall to his death and then get told that you were the reason, that would be unthinkable heart crushing), and then Scar simple banish him from his home and everything he has ever known, to die out in the desert.
If it hadn't been for Timon and Pumba, Simba would have died in grief, knowing only that he was the reason his dad died and no one could come to help him.

+Kasatka Tilikum (Partywaffles) Well we also view it now through a sort of anachronistic lens, when the film premiered back in 1937, it left the likes of Clark Gable in tears. Since then far more heart wrenching moments have been animated to show just how far the art can take the element of pathos.

You know, Treasure Planet always makes me cry. My father was definitely not father of the year material, leaving my mother for another, scaring us instead of motivating us, or telling us not to cry. But he passed away exactly a week before my 16th birthday which was one of the worst experiences of my life. So, Jim Hawkins really spoke to me in a way, including looking for a father figure.

Fox and The Hound makes me tear up every time, as soon as she starts driving off with the Fox "Tod" singing. You get the feeling that this was her only companion, she raised it like a child, and she had such great memories. The feeling of leaving something behind, and walking away from it because you have no choice, and when Tod had no idea what was really happening, (being abandoned back to the wild) until she removed Tod's collar, and drove away.

I thought from the cute ads I'd seen Fox and the Hound would be similar, and I didn't watch it with him like I had the others and then he said it was horrible movie with some terrifying monster that killed everyone! That movie never fails to make me cry. The ambience and the constant state of hope for Oliver brings me to tears every time. I never cried at Mufasa's death because I never really felt like we bonded with him properly. Sure, he's a caring father and good leader, but we don't see enough of him to really feel the impact. With Oliver, it makes you instantly care for the character. He's in a bad state and remains in it for a while, and that's why you cry. It's not sudden, it's not a death, it's supposed to be a rough time. The audience feels sympathy for the little kitten as we can feel every emotion possible during that first song.

    Alternatives:
    1) From Frozen: the last verse of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" and Elsa's sobbing over Anna's frozen body
    2) From Lady and the Tramp: when Trusty's been crushed by the carriage and Jock starts howling mournfully
    3) From Lilo and Stitch: when Stitch is all alone in wilderness and starts calling "I'm lost!" in the hopes that his family will come
    4) From Lady and the Tramp: that scene where we first see inside the pound, where all the dogs are whimpering to the music
    5) From Hunchback of Notre Dame: after Quasimodo's rescued Esmerelda from being burned at the stake, but she just lies limply and doesn't wake up
    6) From The Jungle Book: when everything thinks Baloo died saving Mowgli
    7) From Robin Hood: when Robin Hood's hat with an arrow in it is the only thing to rise up out of the moat, and the boy rabbit says, "He's gonna make it, isn't he?" but Little John just tears up and doesn't answer
    8) From Great Mouse Detective: when Olivia crawls out of the cupboard to find her home in shambles and she calls for her father but he's gone

I completely agree with Dumbo, something is just so heart wrenching, more so than death, about having a loved one so close by but just out of reach, its because it still leaves that glimmer of hope, making it harder to move on and more pain to be caused if/when you can't get them within your reach once again. at least in death there is closure, with Dumbo it was like torture

I get why you put Dumbo as #1 (and I know some people who'd agree). But, for me, it's Lion King all the way. Mufasa was just such a great guy/king and a wonderful father. And the fact that Simba had to watch him die and then come up to the corpse and just cry and say, "Dad...wake up dad...we have to go home..." Oh god, someone just grabbed the balls off my emotional soul and stuck them in a blender :P Plus it's followed by the most evil minute in Disney history (for me).
Scar: Simba...what have you done? [...] Nobody means for these things to happen...but the king is dead. And if it weren't for you he'd still be alive. Hu...what will your mother think?! (Oh, hell no he didn't just go there!) [...] Run away Simba. Run. Run away and never return...Kill him. (AAAAAGGGHHH!!!!! DAMN YOU SCAR!)
Also, I'm kinda surprised the death of Bambi's mom is so low on the list. I thought it would be in the top 3 or at least the top 5. Anyway, it's your list.

***** Wow...I'm sorry you have such a jaded view on fathers as a whole, but I know an enormous number of fantastic dads and the vast majority of people I know have good relationships with their fathers (both parents really, but I don't need to defend mothers here). Anyway, I was looking more at the scenes and characters involved than the father-child vs mother-child aspects.

Fox and the Hound and The Lion King fucked me up, man.
FATH brings back bad memories when my mother would leave for work and I had to stay behind. It broke me as a young child of 3, 4, and 5 because, my father would tell me; ''She left you, abandoned you. She doesn't want you.'' When I'd ask when she would come home, he'd say, ''Never.''
And so, she'd hug me goodbye, tell me to stay and be good, and I'd sit and watch her drive off, fearing that each time would be the last I'd ever see of her.
When Todd realised that he couldn't go with Tweed and had to stay, that always broke me because, I've been there.

I think that as far as Lilo and Stitch goes, Nani and Lilo's talk on the hammock was pretty sad, I mean she was preparing her little sister to be taken away from her while Lilo was still trying to give her hope. But Stitch leaving was even sadder, her telling him that it's okay and everyone leaves me, and him going out in the woods like the ugly duckling and saying "I'm lost."

I thought Bambi should've been higher up on the list, that was sad :( and I actually thought that the saddest Fox and the Hound scene was at the end of the film where you hear their voices saying "we'll always be friends forever", it always sets me off in tears cos with what they are it's unlikely they'll ever see each other again.

Treasure Planet when Jim’s dad walks out on the family... That made me cry I felt so bad for both him and his mother. Fox and The hound was the first movie to make me cry as a child. Dumbo was also fucked up when they jailed his mom. She was just trying to protect poor Dumbo.
P.s One they could also add was The Prince of Egypt. When the mother puts Moses in the basket.

Same, I loved that movie. The more looking back on it, I think it was the hardest being closest to reality in the sense we get our best friends at young ages then are pulled away from them due to outside forces such as in reality it would be jobs, school or other reasons. The scene shown gives a reality of what it is like moving out for the first time where we don't know what to do with ourselves and like that comfort of home but we have to move on. As time goes on we also get distant from our old friends to the point we don't talk or maybe become enemies in someway, but through the hard times friendship can display itself in the end with a gesture or a sign that we still think of one another. I would say the closest to reality out of Disney movies I have seen to capture a full life experience, I didn't think of it as a kid but becomes very apparent as I get older.
