Thank you for all the work keeping LRTimelapse at the cutting edge and compatible with the latest from Adobe. Other hardware and software in this field have come and gone in recent years. It’s good to know we can count on LRTimelapse! Thanks!
Thank you for the great work. But why do you think that it doesn't make sense to use masks with sky-auto-selection for timelape editing? (at least for static shots without camera movements)
From my experience you will mostly see it in the end result. But feel free to test it for yourself. You can add a sky selector to one of the masks on the first keyframe. It should get populated to all other keyframes during the workflow.
That's nothing to do with LRTimelapse, it's the way Lightroom calculates some adjustments. I've explained that and how to deal with it in this video: th-cam.com/video/xb6UZsUEpSI/w-d-xo.html
It depends from the kind of mask: for linear and circular gradients you can animate the position and size. But other masks like brushes etc. can obviously not be animated in shape. Also you need to use the predefined masks that LRT creates. Please come to my Forum for further support: forum.lrtimelapse.com/
Is there any way to use LRTimelapse with tiff of jpeg files? I use Fujifilm camera and raw files when using Lightroom give significantly more noise as compared to CaptureOne. I woul like somehow to process raws using CaptureOne instead of Lighroom. Thank you.
If you have the raw files, you should always use LRTimelapse on the Raw files. Only then it will be able to unleash its full potential for deflickering, holy grail and transitions. Noise is usually no issue with timelapse. Just add a bit of motion blur when rendering and any residual noise will be gone. Working with TIFF/JPGs should only happen if there are no raw files. In that case they should be converted to DNG as explained in Expert Tip no. 4: lrtimelapse.com/tutorial/expert/
Hello Gunther. I have used LRTimelapse for years and this product is wonderful. I have done the update of the settings like you said for the vers 5.7 but with the latest update of Lightroom 11, LRTimelapse is not importing the Gradients when I try click on the button called "Reload". Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance
It would be amazing if LRTimelapse would have an alternative to "only subscription base" Adobe Lightroom programme that it works with. Some programme that has single purchase option.
I don't see it that way. Lightroom Classic is a powerful tool which is constantly developed and in my opinion it's worth the money. It offers the interfaces that LRTimelapse needs to connect, which other solutions don't. That's one reason why LRTimelapse works with Lightroom Classic.
@@LRTimelapseOfficial That is true Lightroom is a powerful tool, but its biggest drawback that it only has "subscription only base", - not really a customer friendly option, especially for those who do not do that for living. An alternative options would be an innovation for LRTimelapse Like "CorelDraw" which is as powerful as Lightroom and has a "Single purchase" option. Thank you for your response I really appreciate it. I really love using LRTimelase PRO, but the fact that it is tied only to Lightroom really is unpleasant for me and I think I'm not alone in this opinion.
@@BaXaZZZ I don't subscribe to that point of view. hey Gunther and everybody - not sure you'd be able to give me any suggestion w/o much context. I use the basic workflow. After dragging to LR11, every time I move a slider it takes seconds to see changes, and the computer becomes sluggish. The previous LR version w/ LRTimelapse worked flawlessly and the fan wasn't screaming as bad. I have the maxed out 16 inch 2019 macbook (except for storage; 1TB SSD) and on LRTimelapse 5.7. I typically do 5-8 keyframes. Fuji 24mp and Sony 42mp files. I know the problem is Adobe's inadequate optimization especially since it's a new LR release. Anyway would appreciate anybody sharing setting tips if you have any. Awesome update and content Gunther; keep them coming.
Indeed this sounds like an issue with Lightroom on your computer, I don't think it has anything to do with LRTimelapse. From my experience, you could try to turn off the graphics acceleration in the Lightroom Settings, and see if that helps. Otherwise you might have to wait until the next Lightroom update, maybe that's fixed then. But I can also only guess here, yet I haven't had any similar reports. Perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling lightroom would also be worth trying.
I don't ignore anything. It can happen, that I oversee a comment - sorry, I'm also only a human. The official suppor channel is the forum and I also have a support email address. So normally it's no problem to reach me.
@@LRTimelapseOfficial I've been very impressed with your responsiveness and dedication to everyone's questions since I have been a customer for nearly a year. I don't know when you have time to sleep! Thank you for such a quality product and excellent customer service!

@@LRTimelapseOfficial I realize that. Just wonder if you noticed any changes within LR that change that. Great work as always.
@@Jimsoda they usually don't change the tools because that would break compatibility with older edits.

You need to set the "Masks" setting to 2.0 in the LRTimelapse Setting and apart from that follow the instructions given in this video.

There really needs to be a way to manipulate masks and do cutouts where you may need to isolate specific parts of the image (TL).
