When I was last in Aruba it was 1982 and my navy ship stopped there. We walked through Oranjestad and ate at a Burger King, but the burgers didn't taste like beef. We even traveled to another almost vacant city area that looked like an old west ghost town. I live in North West Florida.
Yes the Burger King was popular back then.

Love Aruba, visited numerous times, always great! From New England, wished had shown El Gaucho, one of the best Argentinian steak dinners on the Island!

Amazing video! Thanks for taking us along. You mentioned El Goucho's, I spent five nights at the Pista Q Hostel and had a few meals there. Hopefully you will do a walking tour of that part of town, with mention of some of the other restaurants and hotels ghosts la in Oranjestad. Also, there really needs to be some more street lights. It would make a world of difference.

Thanks Vallon! It's not easy to make these night videos because I still use an old GoPro and to be honest it's not very good in low light. I'm certainly doing more walks in the capital in the coming weeks/months.

From Boston and Been coming to Aruba since 1988 this place has changed drastically. I remember when you had one small night club across from the beach I think eagle beach, had a lot of good times and lots of dancing. You have a Beautiful Island with great people. I watch your videos and I am so amazed on how much new stuff is there now. Will be coming in March and looking forward seeing all the changes since 2011.!!!! Thank you for all great info.

We dined at Lima Bistro when we were there 2 weeks ago and it was amazing. Best restaurant in Aruba!!! Great video

Just got off the Odyssey on Sunday. We were on that ship in Aruba on the 15th of September. Loved the island so much!

Great video love Aruba, got my own little video on it, not great but it was my first one. We are from Rhode Island and we will be going in August for our 5th time. I remember going in 2005 and those streets used to be packed. How times have changed
Thanks, yes that street used to be the main hangout spot for nightclubs and bars around those years.

I was indeed a bit worried (you never know with Covid etc.). Hope things can calm down and be ok over there (I have not followed international news tbh), stay safe. Yes that ship captures your attention from kilometers away, it's beautiful especially at night. Right now it's visiting us every 2 weeks. Un abrazo, till the next one!

Great tour of downtown. You mentioned cheeses, have you been to the cheese shop inside the Plaza bookshop. They have an great assortment of cheeses, dried fruits and nuts. The pistachios are awesome. The owners name is Neils and if you happen to visit, tell him Eddie from New Jersey sent you there. He’s a good friend of mine on the island. 👍🏻

I am just amazed at the traffic I see in these videos.... where is everyone going?... been on the Oasis of the Seas on a Florida, Jamaica, Cozumel cruise... it was ok, BIG ship... watching from north of Atlanta Georgia... i'm originally from the UK been in the US 20+ years now

Hello Amanda, probably across the government buildings near the Renaissance or in front of the Royal Plaza there are also a few spots.

What time is the curfew time
No curfew since a bit more than 2 weeks ago. Everything does need to be closed at 12am though but you can still be on the streets after that.
