  • In this video I will show you several statues, monuments & memorial parks situated in Oranjestad, Aruba. You could consider this like a walking tour as I will give some extra information about the places we visit. We start from the eastern most part of the city walking to the center and finishing near the start of the mainstreet.

    I love that you walk passed the residential area as well 🤍 I always love to see the home in other countries. It tells the vibe and stories behind each country more than anything else!

    Oranjestad is beautiful, so much potential for further development if the focus is not on Palm Beach.

      Yep....and they can make Renaissance Hotel more colourful and put more beautiful decorating lights ...flowers on the balconies too maybe.... so it can be more of an eyecatcher coming in from the port in front of the hotel and coming from the mainstreet....instead of that dead colour it has now....

      True 100% I agree!

      I agree but I think it may have to do that they need to stay true to their brand (style).

    Any idea hot the deep sea charter boats for fishing are?
    Thank you!

      I honestly know little about them except that you are able to charter them. Check near the Seaport (Oranjestad) there are several of them.

    Dank Hyro.
    Warme groet,
    Paul

    • @LetsgowithHyro
      @LetsgowithHyro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hartelijk bedankt Paul, inderdaad, maar ik vind de Boy Ecury park nu ook heel leuk (vroeger niet echt). Fort Zoutman is voorloopig dicht door Covid en zwz heb ik de laatste tijden (jaren) niks gehoord van the wekelijkse optredingen. Dus denk ik niet meer.

    Hola amigo... excelente vídeo, me faltó conocer muchos lugares de los que muestras acá a pesar que caminé un poco el centro y que me hospedaba en casa de una amiga en Chilestraat. Sólo tengo recuerdo y fotos de esta rampa de madera rumbo a West Deck y su playa. Nunca supe que había un mirador detrás del Renaissances Marketplace que sale al Parque Reina Wihelmina.

      Muchisimas gracias amigo y no te preocupes, hasta la gente que vive aqui a veces no saben :-) de esos lugares y/o detalles.

    Close ups of places I've only seen as blurs from the taxi window as we went from the hotel to the restaurant !

      @LetsgowithHyro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trust me Paul, many of us who live here haven't seen them up close either LOL. But it's a beautiful area for sure and with some history attached to it only compliments it even more! Thanks again for watching!

    Love your videos
    I'll be in Aruba in December for 1 day (doing a cruise), what do you recommend to do in one day only?

    • @LetsgowithHyro
      @LetsgowithHyro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Frederico! It depends, but I think the Eagle & Manchebo beaches (next to each other) are amazing. Otherwise, visit the Lighthouse area and do some snorkeling at Boca Catalina/Tres Trapi. If you are more of a city person, do a walking tour of Oranjestad and visit museums (some are still closed but perhaps in Dec they will all be open). Optional is a visit to the Art Murals in San Nicolas with a visit to Baby Beach, on the way down, lunch at Zeerovers. There is also the National Park but if you are only here for a day I would not recommend it unless you want to visit the Natural Pool which is nice!

    Are there any vaccination requirements to enter Aruba?
    Was it empty in general when you were there or so so, are restaurants open?
    Is there anything to do at night?
    I'm asking because I'm visiting for 5 days in 3 weeks from now and I just want to get some details.
    Thank you so much.
    Awesome video by the way love it 🙏🏼❤

    • @LetsgowithHyro
      @LetsgowithHyro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No vaccination requirement (yet) to the best of my knowledge. While we can't exclude that possibility I don't think that will happen unless things turn for the worse internationally (let's hope not). PCR test is required though. I actually live here (born & raised). All restaurants are open with a maximum capacity of 8 persons per table (currently). Bars are open and dancing is allowed around your own table. Live music is also permitted. Remember things can change anytime but you should have no real issues. I feel very safe here.

      Hello Mhommad, I think I filmed this on a Sunday morning when most things are closed. For the Malls I prefer to have the permits to do so but I do have walking along the mainstreet (also shopping). Thanks for watching :-)
