Dad and I watch your videos together. He’s a master diesel mechanic. Said that noise is likely a fan to cool your engine. He was also unimpressed with the welding 😂
12:26 True. I had a coworker stab the back up beeper with a pen once, if you do disconnect the audible alarm you could replace it with a light, so you know the gate is closed before resetting the saftey pins. Its just a hall sensor normally, near the top of the gate and a bottle cap works great. 🫡 If you didn't have those pins to keep the gate closed, you would have to rely on hearing that beeper, all the time incase a hydraulic cylinder loses pressure from wearing internal seals and it just popping open on you.
You never get a full tank of fuel when you purchase any sort of a commercial truck. The engine reving doing is the VGT on the turbo. Part of the emissions system. That sound is normal. Hope that helps. Good luck.
omg finally that logo on the garbage truck looks pretty cool 5:16 sometimes i hear this in my moms chrysler idk what it is but i think it has something to do with heating or somethign idk

Most importantly, pat yourself on the back, a credit to you and your wife, this is where your equipment actually helps your day work for you. Im biased as i own an izuzu truck but that thing is awsome. That dealer has some real improvements to make to stay in business, and that was not welding, my very young nephew has welded better than that.
Hi Brad, 1st off I want to say that I just created this account just to respond to your vidio. I was the 3rd gen of of our family own scavenger service in the north Chicago verbs so I found your channel interesting, venturing into something with out knowing much about the pit falls that you will face. I think you did the right thing buying that truck, with 200 90 gallon cans, I couldnt see much future with out it, other that a busted or worn out Brad! With the Hollidays comming up, you would have a very hard time to keep up, at the pace you had with the pumpkins, Thanks Giving dinners, Christmas parties and Christmas itself. I know you will take care of that truck, just make shure you check the inside of the cab for loose items, even behind the seat before you lift the cab, if you dont, you will be buying a windshield! Run empty with the pushout blade forword for a better ride, and at the dump, unlatch the hopper then run the packer blade up to clear the hopper before you raise it up to unload. You maybe know all that but I just thought I wpuld put my 2cents in from a 73yr old garbage man Good luck Brad, I hope you grow and prosper and I cant wait to see your next vidio and see you say,( why didnt I do this sooner ) at the end. Oh, I dont know how many c/y that box is, but how about "the Bakers dozen".
The dealer was rushed like Brad explained. Do not spam them with negative reviews. The owners there have a family and need to pay their bills. You don't know much about RDK.
We've got around 60 different trash trucks - biggest advice with those packing handles is to make sure the rubber/plastic cap is in the hole at the top of each detent valve. If you don't have a cap in the hole pack it with grease & find a way to keep water from getting down it. Your handle detents will rust & stick then your functions will get stuck 'on' until you yank on it. This will kill your pump via continued deadheading. Also - every body builder I've met would recommend using high idle whenever you're running a function (tip, claw, sweep, wall, tailgate). The pumps they use on these trucks will die a slow painful death if they're not given enough RPM under load. Expensive part to replace when they'll last a decade if properly operated... Good luck- enjoy the new truck! :)
Also - grease grease grease. Take a pic of that yellow grease point map while it's still in good shape. That truck will run for a long time if you keep up the maintenance! Oil, grease & filters are cheap!
Beep-Beep Nom-Nom. The Garbage Gobbler isn't just a truck but a friendly neighborhood character. Your customers adopt this hungry truck and take care of it by feeding it regularly. Of course, googly eyes are an absolute necessity. For social media marketing, you could embellish the truck with magnets dressing it up for each of the holidays. This approach turns a utilitarian service into an interesting character with its own backstory, hopes, and dreams.
Wow, what a “fantastic” dealer experience. I’d love for you to make a separate video about the purchase experience and buying process of a piece of equipment like this!
The fan noise could be the A/C condensor fan, not sure if the US trucks has it under the LH floor board like they are here in Australia. If it is under the cab I'd recommend getting condensor guard as it seems to attact damage, we've got 5 Isuzu tow trucks and all of them have had damaged condensors. Couple of things to know, those big mirrors will bend the tops of the doors down. Common issue that Isuzu has known about, and not done anything about, since this cab was released. More an irritation than a real problem, if the wind noise gets to annoying just pull the top of the window frame towards the cab with the window open. The Isuzu I drive has nearly 900.000 km on it and it's never had the doors replaced. Make sure you clean the filter for the HVAC under the inspection panel in the nose, it cakes with dirt easily and causes the blower fan to overheat. I'd also recommend pulling the HVAC blower fan out and cleaning it every so often because it sits horizontally and is only supported at the motor end. To much dust on the blades will kill the bearing. We actually keep a couple spares on the shelf. Hopefully Isuzu kept all the grease points on the North American trucks, if so there's zerks on the upper and lower king pins, front spring hanger, 2 on the front spring shackle, on each drive shaft uni joint, the drive shaft slip joint and the rear spring hanger and shackles. I've found the dealer sometimes forgets to grease them, we grease the trucks weekly .
Brad, good for you. That was an awesome move you made buying the new trash truck that’s going to make your life so much easier and you’ll be able to take on more customers with no worries, the more the merrier
20:17 Quick tip to help with a little bit of the weight when lifting the cab, open the doors all the way ,i drive a npr tow truck and have to do my daily inspection and a cow worker showed me that one and it really does help as you should also do inspections every morning you plan on driving it as if you get pulled over or get into an accident it will help a lot showing you are being as safe as you can
Also because it’s a cab over truck don’t keep anything that isn’t tied down in the cab otherwise you will not could or maybe you will definitely bust out ur window it’s happened thousands of times to people experienced or rookie drivers just remember to take extra precautions and bring loose items out of the cab especially heavy stuff
@@CopperCreekCuts my grandpa drove truck and it’s happened to him just a good rule of thumb never keep anything you don’t need in the truck because you WILL forget about it until it’s sitting on the window lol

Dealers been dealers nothing never changes, and yes I want a clean garbage truck if it park beside by home now put a wrap on the cab that would be one sharp looking rig you got there.
Wrap will be this coming Friday!
Congrats on the new truck! Been watching for years crazy how far this channel has come!
Appreciate it!
Wow this last week went fast. Congrats on the truck man
Thank you!
It’s very inspirational to watch you on your adventure to grow your company. I love that in three short months you have already made a big purchase of a garbage truck. Keep it up man I can’t wait to see where this company goes. (In the sense of a few hundred cans. I know your not going much bigger than that.)
Loving the the truck. And to think a month ago in a video you didnt think/plan to have a truck for "years" down the road. :) Glad to see everything working out for you and the business.
Yeah I was WRONG on that one! :D
Dad and I watch your videos together. He’s a master diesel mechanic. Said that noise is likely a fan to cool your engine. He was also unimpressed with the welding 😂
I appreciate his insight! Tell him thanks!
the gauge is a filter replacement gauge. when it goes yellow the filter is starting to get clogged.
Excellent, thank you!
Yayyyyyyy! That’s awesome, you’ve gotten so far in this company and I’m so happy to see you with a garbage truck now😊
Thank you!
Fantastic video - can’t wait to see more footage of this truck !
Thank you!
12:26 True. I had a coworker stab the back up beeper with a pen once, if you do disconnect the audible alarm you could replace it with a light, so you know the gate is closed before resetting the saftey pins. Its just a hall sensor normally, near the top of the gate and a bottle cap works great. 🫡
If you didn't have those pins to keep the gate closed, you would have to rely on hearing that beeper, all the time incase a hydraulic cylinder loses pressure from wearing internal seals and it just popping open on you.
You never get a full tank of fuel when you purchase any sort of a commercial truck. The engine reving doing is the VGT on the turbo. Part of the emissions system. That sound is normal. Hope that helps. Good luck.
Congratulations on your success best wishes for the future
Thank you for the comment!
So I am an Isuzu tech and there is a major recall going around right now for the reprogramming of the ECM and the DCU!
omg finally
that logo on the garbage truck looks pretty cool
5:16 sometimes i hear this in my moms chrysler idk what it is but i think it has something to do with heating or somethign idk
this is the setup my sevice uses, they are becoming rather large and seem to be doing good with that size truck, great buy
Thanks!
Since your garbage cans are Orange....Name your truck "Orange Crush"
Nice!
Awesome! Looking forward to hearing your review on this truck! I am in the dumpster roll off business and get alot of request for trash service and we have been considering it heavily. Best of Luck!
Thanks for the kind words!
You maybe know all that but I just thought I wpuld put my 2cents in from a 73yr old garbage man
Good luck Brad, I hope you grow and prosper and I cant wait to see your next vidio and see you say,( why didnt I do this sooner ) at the end.
Oh, I dont know how many c/y that box is, but how about "the Bakers dozen".
We need to leave reviews on their site so other people are aware. Do your part!
The dealer was rushed like Brad explained. Do not spam them with negative reviews. The owners there have a family and need to pay their bills. You don't know much about RDK.
I don't think anyone should leave a negative review somewhere unless they are a legitimate customer of that business.
@@Dnf6517rdk the extremely overpriced dealer? Place is a joke.
Thanks for the feedback!!
Wow, what a “fantastic” dealer experience. I’d love for you to make a separate video about the purchase experience and buying process of a piece of equipment like this!
Pack Betty (play on the words black Betty) would be a good name!
I hate this, lets do it.
I'm voting for this one because as soon as I read pack Betty the song stuck in my head now😅
Love it!
Dude, this is so cool!!!!
Thanks man!
Do it brother!! Keep grinding..
Im addicted to your videos, very fun to follow your journey :) greetings from Sweden
Name for the truck- Chompy 18:58
Love it!
@@CopperCreekCuts thank you!!!
Chitty Chitty Pack Mac! Love watching your business grow! I work for Howie’s trash service in Manhattan KS.
Those ISUZU NPRs drive really smooth for their size. Love em
Glad to hear it!
Awesome investment, proud of you, man, and happy for you. Excited for your business!
Name Idea: The Grime Reaper
thats a good one
Truck name: "itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny asian pick-up trash machiney"
Brad, good for you. That was an awesome move you made buying the new trash truck that’s going to make your life so much easier and you’ll be able to take on more customers with no worries, the more the merrier
Thanks for watching!
20:17 Quick tip to help with a little bit of the weight when lifting the cab, open the doors all the way ,i drive a npr tow truck and have to do my daily inspection and a cow worker showed me that one and it really does help as you should also do inspections every morning you plan on driving it as if you get pulled over or get into an accident it will help a lot showing you are being as safe as you can
Great tips, thanks!
I just drive same izuzu In italy with different equipment since every country has their unique trucks, I love this job, gl in everything!
I've been excited to see this! Dorry it wasn't perfect. That welding was a joke..
Very good tip, thank you!
@@CopperCreekCuts my grandpa drove truck and it’s happened to him just a good rule of thumb never keep anything you don’t need in the truck because you WILL forget about it until it’s sitting on the window lol
Great job brad. I’m sure this will help you more than anyone can imagine.
That is going to save your back. It is great that you can provide such a service to your customers. The name of the truck should be the Neighborhood Packer with a smile. or the Trash Crusher. Have a great day.
this is such a big step! I love watching your journey
Trucks looks mint. Keen to see the truck in operation next week
Wow! Congrats on the BIG purchase! You’re going to love the cabover truck!
Excited to see your voice over congratulations on the new truck
I have 10 names for the truck lol. I named my personal truck and every vehicle I've owned.
1. Trash Titan
2. Waste Wrangler
3. Junk Juggernaut
4. Rubbish Raider
5. The Clean Machine
6. Garbage Gladiator
7. Dumpster Dynamo
8. The Refuse Rocket
9. Debris Destroyer
10. Waste Warrior
Hope you like at least one of them. Love your videos as always. 😁
Thank you, love it!
18:59 I would call it the Megamouth, because even though it is a small truck, it has a tailgate wider than the distance the compactor blade can travel. (this is not the case for most)
Thanks!
I would have the dealer send me a new plate to replace the one they boogered up. Also for what you paid, everything should work! I can understand not detailing a garbage truck post sale, but there should have been a functional inspection prior to you leaving the lot and you should have gotten a “we owe” as part of your package outlining all the items to be fixed.
Can’t wait to see her in action.
Congratulations on the upgrade!
And I would name it “Mrs. Pac-Man!
Can't wait to see it in action, nice truck!
Glad I caught an update on your garbage business.
Congrats on the upgrade.
Bizarre that a business would risk losing any returning customer by not topping off diesel/def and making sure customer is 100% excited about the purchase.
Maybe if/when I'm buying trucks at your guy's level I'll get the red carpet treatment!😂
@@CopperCreekCuts Let me know when and I'll let the guys in Scranton,IA (New Way) know you're coming!
So happy to finaly see the new truck. The poor customer support is kinda sad for the money u spent but maybe that´s normal for trucks idk... Hope you always have safe trips in your new truck and that it will last for a very long time. Safe trucking Brad!!
Great tour of the new truck - congratulations!
Good luck with it should make life a whole lot better and easier.
Boy that dealership needs to get better at customer care.
So exciting to see. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video and truck! I think RDK should have done way better of a job ngl. Btw 2 things. 1. For the button that is not work on that side of the truck, you could just make a signal with your wife for go, stop, and back up. 2. I think you should call the truck either trashy or smasher.
Love the decals and all the best! Can’t wait to see it “on the job”!❤
Thanks!
awesome cant wait to see how your new routine picking trash is with this truck.
For the name of the truck. You’re a wonderful wives name Kendall in Celtic means “Ruler of the Valley”… Queen Kendall? Another fun one is Trash Guardian. Love the new truck, may your business grow and prosper!
I love your new truck, and I have been eagerly waiting for this moment. I am really happy for you, I think this is going to make your life much easier. Its such a nice truck, even if it has a couple quirks, I actually appreciate its design features. The cab being able to pull open like that, gives you excellent space to work on the engine, truly excellent. You know, Japan uses those types of trucks, they are a space saver for their more narrow roads. Thanks for showing off the features of the truck, I enjoyed it! I think we need to name the truck Pacman 👾
Thank you for watching and commenting!
congrats on the new truck! looks good with that logo. out of all the trucks i've seen on RDK's website, i've never seen them weld the logo to the back that badly
Name it Alley! And wow that weld job 🫣. But the trucks awesome!!!! Hope you all the best with it!!!
Thanks 👍
I love the smell of trash in da mornin
Really love that rig. Beautifull!
Thanks 👍
Congratulations
I would probably name it something like Mrs. Pacman.
It's sad that equipment costs so much these days yet the manufacturer's pace a little Attention to detail.
But still a really nice machine maybe I'll be there 1 day. Right now I have a panic attack just looking at all the things that could go wrong with that machine LOL.
