    Finger trowel, Slicker, Fugspiker depending on where in the world you are. If ime doing soffit on top of frame I use Eaves Lintols which are designed for this as for wall plates depending on the builder or if its my job I find it better to get the blockwork spot on height and no bed then screw the plate to the blockwork dry that way it's easy to get all imperfections and bows out of the plate.

    • @mrabuilders6723

    In the past I've knocked a few large headed galvanised felt nails in the underside of wall plates to give the mortar something to hold on to. I know gravity should stop it moving but I've seen wallplates that have moved a bit on older buildings.

    Can you share more about reusing materials from one job on another?
    I’m wondering if any of the clients watching would feel miffed about something taken out their house being reused rather than disposed as they (presumably) expected, or the new building clients feeling hard done by for not getting new materials.
    Do you need to be explicit with everyone?

      @mrabuilders6723  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello grassfolk1, hope you're well. If the customer wants thing thrown away and we can see a use for it then it gets used again. Anyone who has an issue with materials being reused and would rather they go to landfill can go swivel as far as we're concerned! The same customer wouldn't mind in the slightest if we used reclaimed bricks to match their house so that voids any argument they may have. Not that I've ever had a customer be so silly, and I've had some silly customers!

I feel.for anyone who paid that thinking that they were covered if it went wrong. So i bought this one for just over £100, I was obviously dubious at first but I've got to say it's been fantastic and I don't mean that as in it's good for the money, I mean it as I think it's fantastic even if I paid a lot more for it.
