    Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you all have a good one! 🇺🇸🎆 Just to explain the situation, Nissan granted us special access to check out the Sport model but we only had about 20 mins and we weren't allowed to drive it since none of the other journalists did either. We included a clip of the Performance model with the automatic transmission because that is the one we were driving earlier on in the day. We hope you understand 👍

    One big difference not mentioned is the Sport doesn’t have a limited-slip differential. That’s a big deal with a car putting down this much power to only two wheels. Disappointed that’s not standard. I mean, if the Civic Si comes with an LSD, every Z should too!

    • @andyrodriguez1326
      @andyrodriguez1326 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      It should come with a limited slip diff. I have a base model s550 ecoboost mustang and even mine came with a limited slip diff and my car is 10k cheaper. Sure there's going to be aftermarket but the diff alone is like 1000+ and professional installation.

    • @ragweedmakesmesneeze

      Yeah...the lack of a LSD on a performance car has to be the most substantial difference. Everything else you can more or less "live with" (e.g. cloth seats) or upgrade without affecting warranty (e.g. tires) and/or factory engineered/designed driving dynamics.

      @@rambow70 all MOPARs are cheaper, faster, have backseats, and come with better features.
      When you go for the fully loaded one at 54k, you are now in the RS3, 240i, Supra, and etc. territory. The Z performance is slower than a Mustang GT.
      This car is a 370z with a new (weaker) engine. Everything in this car is identical to the car before it outside of the infotainment and the LCD display gauge screen.

      @@ToneysReviews Right but there is probably some decent tuning potential in the new Z. I bet you can get 450whp with a tune in a 3,500 lb car versus 485hp in a scat pack that weighs 4,200 lbs. Also those mopar cars get terrible gas mileage. I think it's closest competitors are the mustang GT, 240i, and supra. RS3 and S4 being AWD might attract a different audience.

Supra is doing this and Supra is the main competition....It would also allow Nissan to occupy a $35k (ish) price point to better compete against the GR86/BRZ on the lower end as well as the Supra on the higher end...
