Absolutely! That Z is something I'd love to have as a portrait. I will be picking up the Boulder Grey in June, when it is available in my area 👍🏼
I told my cousin this was the first new car in a while I actually liked, he said "it looks like it was designed for people who miss the 90s" I agreed.
Facts!
Duuuude yes thats what it is. I couldn’t put my finger on it but yes, your cousin is 100% right.
And the 80's and the 70's
'70s.
I like the C8 a whole lot but this car is really sweet, it has the 90s in the back with the original 70s -80s look up front, modernized of course, no recessed headlights. The 90s were a good decade, for performance cars coming back and other things.
From the front and side, a 240Z. From the back, a 300ZX. What a good job Nissan did on this car! Keeping the Z legacy alive! I'm loving it since it was announced. Can't wait to see the bodykits for it in the future, it's gonna be crazy for sure.

Looks good on gray. I really want to like it and this color makes it somewhat likeable. But a C8 looks good in all colors....

@@jpusaf1999 I've got both on order, just depends which gets here first. Fingers crossed for the vette but also the Z since it's so much more budget friendly.
Larry Chen you are an inspiration. You seem to be a very good man, and I think that that as well as your passion and dedication to your craft are shown in your photos. As a hobbyist photographer, I look up to you more than any other photographer and value what I have learned from you. Thank you for showing how to hustle and be humble at the same time. Manual? Who drives a stick now a day? Even Supra, NSX, and Corvette people don’t want a manual It’s a sports car and should only be paired with an auto. Otherwise this Z will be too slooooooow with a manual.

@@lordmaster5522 Its the feel man. Its the spirit of the Manual. Rowing through gears through the twisties or slamming them violent on the freeway. It can’t be matched by an auto.
@@lordmaster5522 Manual can be faster in the twisties due to the auto box having to gear hunt. Unless you're talking flappy paddles, in which case, DCTs shit on autos for speed

This is the best looking Nissan in a long time, probably since the skylines in my opinion. The r35 didn’t really do it for me, but man this car is beautiful.

The new Z looks fantastic in Boulder Grey, especially with the red and black interior. The shot with the bridge and city skyline in the background is absolute perfection.

My first car was a Datsun 280zx at 15. I rebuilt it, and swapped it to a turbo. I've always loved Zs.
15 years later I'm an engineer for Nissan (graduated in Aerospace). I've owned 8 Zs (haven't had a Z32 or 350 yet) but this car is incredible in person. They absolutely nailed it. Can't wait until this is out to the public, I'm very proud to be a part of this company. You'll LOVE it. Beautiful car with beautiful heritage, please see it ASAP.

The parallel witht he 240Z is incredible. This is how you can see how much they inspired from it in every aspect possible down to the bonnet relief or the c-line. I thought, by faint memory, that only the front and tail lights were a hommage, and I was wrong. This is proper modern retro, and it's beautiful.
Love that color! Would be cool to see this color with the blue interior.

Growing up, I had only seen and known of family cars and wagons. It was my aunt that pointed out a Datsun Z 240. It opened up my eyes to sports cars and a from there a whole new world--engineering and the pursuit of performance and elegance.
Thanks for these amazing photos, Larry! Hopefully they will inspire a new generation to dream big. And thanks to Nissan for having the courage to revisit their heritage and make a truly stunning car in a world that too often has traded in fun and creativity for frugality and pragmatism.
Back when I had a contract with Infiniti for the LE, I was fortunate to go to Nissam design America and Tour it. I have a photo in the same spot where you put the new Z. Great location and people that work inside.
