Throwback video from 2022. I figured this video was worth reuploading considering the current state of many hobbies. Prices on everything going up while people have less money.
I got into Hot Toy back in 2020, but they were in storage till 2023 when my dad died. Once I laid him to rest, I took over the lease to the apartment. And was able to display my figures. I also got into Anime figures too. With anything you collection you have to exercise moderation. You can’t buy everything. You have to pick and choose the ones you want and pass on ones you can pass on. You will have highs and lows in collecting. Take your time. Don’t rush on anything. And choose wisely.
Your speaking facts. One thing about collecting /artrisy you can letting go for a while and always comeback a second or third time but be alot more wiser and selective of your choices. One thing about dealing with ART of all kinds & types if its turly in your DNA it never goes away it just change shapes and forms.
For me right now I think I’m over collecting I have a lot of funko pops and comic books and it’s not bringing me joy anymore it feels like I’m hoarding and I don’t like it.. I love my slab comics but overall I think I’m done
Ohhhhh so you gon throw on a button up just to tease the display?! You just being petty now my g 🤣👊🏾 #boomerang #yougottocooordnate #asparagustips #pause
@ ayeeee it was still dope. I see we were both paying attention during Martin’s “You so crazy” when he said you don’t need to have a lot, just know how to style that mufucka! Im mainly a 1/6 mondo collector myself and looking for display ideas. Leaning towards building a muscle rack. I like how yours looks each piece has its own space without being confined like in a detolf. 👊🏾
@@dsikonz that’s because you know good cinema when you see it my guy… sometimes for fun ill put my finger in the middle of my girls head and say “LOVE should’ve brought you ass home last night!” 🤣👊🏾
You get bored, or something bad happens to you, in my case my parents both died around the same time. So you're upset & not thinking clearly. You say "To hell with it, fuck everything, I'm done with this!" and then sell off a bunch of stuff. Then years later you *REGRET IT.* But you can't buy it back because the scalpers are merciless GREEDY pricks who have jacked up the prices by hundreds of dollars. Charging insane prices that are clearly not the actual price/value of the item. The 3 most important questions you have to ask or look at are: 1. How difficult was it to obtain the item in the first place? 2. How easy will it be to buy it back in the future? 3. How limited is it? If it's rare or limited *DO NOT SELL IT!* I made that mistake a few times with Transformers. Still regretting it & I wish I could go back in time & not sell it.

Man, I haven't gotten tired of my collection yet. If anything, I want more 1/6 Scale Figures. But, I can't afford them right now. That will change.
9:08 🔥🔥🔥
I haven’t got tired of collecting my only issue is space and storage
Space is kryptonite to many
I enjoy collecting. I'm not selling, I have sold stuff to make other moves for my collection
I’d like to see a follow up video about seller’s remorse aka regret from leaving the hobby and tips on how to start collecting again
That would be a good subject. I don't know about covering the sellers remorse part but I could definitely talk about getting started again.
I bought megatron g1 complete for 200 then next time I checked can’t find one for less than 500
What scale are those cars in the display shelves behind you?
@@hussles 1:18. It's a great scale!
Never.

Yeah outside of the moducases, the garage racks are the best option in my opinion

Yeah sometimes you can sell and end up regretting it. I've done it more times than I can count 🤷🏾♂️🤣
How can collecting cause stress? Its just a hobby. You shldnt care that much to begin with.
@@KingSausage74 You must be new lol Talk to enough collectors and you'll see the many ways it can. That's why I brought it up in this video.
Man you do waaayyyy to much complaining and have anxiety issues as a Collector for me.
Either Collect or Don't.... Geez!
