I was fishing out near the sekui river and hooked a 80+ pound hali on a rockfish set up. We had to chase it down with the motor 3 times before it stopped going on long runs and then I just could not move it more then a couple inches at a time. We could see it on the graph and it was huge. Broke off before we got to see it but man it would have been cool!
Good fish for you boys! Up north here we pluck those on a regular basis! Keep up the hunt!

There are some great size Halibut out in front of that river. It's a great place for them to feed.. 😁
Nice presentation, especially the pre departure safety information. Thanks
Looks like fun wish I could be there
Yesterday I caught a 25.75 lbs 45" inch tiger muskie. First one I have ever caught. It's my profile photo
Nice halibut, I actually caught a halibut on my channel like a week ago
Awesome... Yes, it's been pretty good when you can get out..

I fish for halibut and have caught more then the average Joe and I am skeptical on that halibut being 82 lbs. How many inches was it?
We didn't tnink it would be 80 as well. We hung it on an accurate scale back at the dock, it was 82 on the nose. We didnt measure length.
@Fish Hunt Northwest solid fish

I like seiku, don't have the action of the sea, = no sea sickness
