I feel like you guys aren't fully understanding how HxH does powerscaling/ who beats who in a fight. A lot of fights in HxH depend on nen abilities and how they are used in a fight, and nen in general. People like Hisoka and Chrollo don't have the craziest stats or anything, but because they are very highly skilled nen users they are "stronger" than/ could beat many characters. Hopefully this helps with some of the confusion around who's stronger than who, but if it doesn't I'm sure there are many other people that can go more in depth than this comment does. Let it cook guys! This arc is a little bit of a slow burner but it’s incredible development and writing.
Its very clear already but there isnt clear power levels at all in HxH other than some very top characters ... Its always about how ones technique can be used against other if the matchup is bad its bad you cant get your way through it without being very smart and thats why HxH fights are soo different .
Yeah, and while the Royal Guard have more aura and are more natural gifted at using nen, any of the Ant's abilities could rival them when just comparing the ability. Zazan here gave up her tail to gain more great durability and strength, honestly she's probably as durable here, in terms of taking direct hits, as any other Ant beside the King.

@@user-vd5tw8wr6n That's not how aura works that whoever has the biggest aura has the best defense, though there is correlation. It's an enhancement techique to her already hard skin making it many times stronger (and she might have a stronger exoskeleton to begin with since she's from scorpion while youpi is from magical beast). If we just compare the feats, Youpi can be pushed around by simple enhanced punches while Zazan can tank Ko with no damage. There is no reason to assume that her skin's durability can't possibly be as strong as the royal guard's, and reason to believe it might be. Not to mention that the nen catagory effects this along with mastery over those skills, and Youpi didn't seem to have learn anything about nen yet.
It's not surprising as she has achieved this by specializing in this one trait, but overall it doesn't make her on par with the guard, just an ability that makes her good at taking hits.
*Although Youpi shape shifting ability might him more durable in a way, but that's why I said at just taking straight punches.
Oh, and also nen is strongly affected by emotions, and Zazan was strongly attached to that tail. Not only is it a part of her body, but it's how she was going to make her new queendom. Add that to the way that she's taking away her beauty.
Each and everyone of the troupe members are op in their own way, the only time we saw Chrollo fight he was fighting two zoldicks at the same time and he wasn't even trying the whole time

Kalluto might be mistaken in thinking he can be the Troupe's second-in-command. The Troupe only has a leader and the members. The members follow only the leader, there is no hierarchy. The numbers don't even indicate the level of strength. Nobunaga is #1 but he's hardly the strongest out of them.

Pitou is a person (one of the ants with humanity) so they are technically disrespecting her (or genuinely dont believe she's a person) when they call her it.

Zazan and the Lion are the same level. He didn't know Nen when he saw Kite. Ep basically shows higher Spiders are Commander tier but with more experience. Mid spider around Captain level. Shal and Shizuku struggled a bit. Pike would have won if he wasn't so dumb and he's a Captain.
Kalluto is a boy. Killua's youngest bother.
Higher troupe members are above squadron tier. Meleoron compares Gon and Killua's level to that of a squadron leader.
Zazan and the lion are captains but zazan is stronger than the lion for sure. She was commanding captains like if she was a queen so she must’ve eaten a lot of humans thats why she must be stronger than the lion

The name Phinks comes from the word "Sphinx" which is why the character dresses like an Egyptian.
With the revelation of the power of Phinks, Bonolenov and Feitan, the only member of the Phantom troupe who has not shown his Nen ability even in the manga is Nobunaga, his ability remains a mystery.
This is where the famous theory of Feitan Zoldyck was born.
With Feitan's victory, he is now the temporary leader of the Phantom troupe.
When Feitan gets angry, he starts speaking backwards, which is why Chinese and Japanese letters appear on the screen.

Would be interesting to see the whole greed island crew vs the troupe. We don’t really know too much about their true power as it’s likely they all have many conditions to amplify their nen on the island but surely they must have pretty good nen mastery in the first place.
@@cahan557 Tbh I thought it was public knowledge that the game makers (that still reside in the game and influence it) are giving power ups under the conditions that it is used for the game only. Hence why Razor's balls are so strong. (Volleyball is his specialty in the game)
@@rexibhazoboa7097 I assumed that was spell and item cards only. Wasn’t razor a super strong criminal that only Ging managed to capture before coming to greed island? For example, Razor destroys the troupe’s boat when they try to circumvent the game’s entry system with an emitter ball not a card (which he uses to dismiss the troupe). That doesn’t seem like part of the game (otherwise wouldn’t he have another admin card for removing items from the game the same way he had one for people (since when making that card, they must have foreseen boats being the most obvious way a person would get onto the island)).
I think all of them are incredibly strong nen users who impose heavy conditions (likely unable to leave island, unable to use nen outside of island with the exception of the items retrieved by the winner etc).
I think that’s all just speculation though so who knows. Would have been cool if we saw what 10 nen masters with varying abilities are truly capable of assuming they are nen masters. Not sure how it would fit in the story though as the only other groups they would evenly go against are the hunter’s association or the troupe neither of which can afford to lose characters in a fight without affecting the plot. Maybe like this troupe side story, we get a side story of the nen masters shutting down the island when a chimera ant squad arrives following a signal of very high concentration of “special humans” in one place. Probably too random though
I think a few of them would die in a fight with razor, not all of them are suited for combat

I'm going to go out on an limb and say that we're not suppose to think that Shizuku is near Gon's age.
I'm not even sure why her personality, being forgetful and calm, makes her seem younger to any significant degree, they just made it sound like her personality honestly. Maybe someone said young girl at one point, but that could easily be someone as late as their 20s.
I can understand why people don't like fan service, but two jiggles from Shizuku swinging a vacuum and a pan shot at Zazan barely seem anime hater worthy if you ask me.

Yeah hating or disliking this episode or the anime for one tiny itty bit of fanservice, which is pretty rare in HxH especially considering it's a big battle shonen, its moronic. We have had more fanservice from Hisoka than with other female characters.
HxH is fucking fine. A bit of Shizuku fanservice is deserved. And I tell this as a fanservice hater. But Togashi doesn't abuse or use it as a crutch for terrible writing.

Some future ideas: Stein;Gate (about timemachines), My Hero Academia (if you like superheroes), Vinland Saga (if you like vikings), Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (the OG), Dororo (about samurai and a curse), Berserk movie trilogy(another OG), Parasyte the maxim (about alien worms taking over humans), Goblin Slayer (dnd style anime about killing goblins).
Also fun fact for yall: The 1999 Hunter x Hunter anime ends with Kurapika thinking PT are dead and the scene where Kurapika, Gon, Killua and Leorio meet in the park laughing, Then after the credits roll you see the text from hisoka "The bodies were fakes". 1999 ended there.
the phantom troupe are such intresting charactors with a lot of backstory who had a life time of suffering to get strong, meanwhile the ants are being born with powers so insane with no price paid or time put in.

Zazan is obvi the strongest chimera ant, excluding the RGs and Meruem. She knows how to use her aura, and her strongest hatsu must be so powerful as it activates with the condition of ripping out her tail, which I suppose would permanently prevent her from using her other hatsu the Queen Shot.
Feitan's raw power is so unmatched to zazan's skin 😂
I hope Feitan has shown you how he would clap Razor lmao.
And keep in mind, according to the troupe he was rusty and sluggish the entire fight, he's usually much much faster.
I personally believe Feitan to be the troupes strongest combatant, even above Chrollo.
But yes people I know, if Chrollo gets prep time he can prepare counter measures.
But if it's just both facing off and a death match starting immediately, Feitan wins no doubt in my mind.
If yall think differently that's fine, after all we don't know for certain eother way.
Oh and just to be clear, I still agree that Feitan would get one tapped by the king, Meruem is different.
I think both hisoka and chrollo win in a 1v1 against Feitan though, they know his abilities, and are better strategists. He does pack a bigger punch but that's not what's required to win in a duel, they will find win conditions and are absolutely fast/strong enough to match his regular combat abilities. As for razor its hard to know, he was getting massive amounts of power in the volleyball match due to the nen condition of being OP within those sets of rules on the greed island for that specific ability.
@@m.d4375 Hisoka doesn't know his ability. Also his ability has other forms. Still Hisoka has an advantage, which is his bungee gum. If he attaches it to Feitan, it's more or less over, since Fei needs some time to use his counteractive ability.

People act like being a good strategist overcomes this guy just being WAY faster than Hisoka and Chrollo and him just summoning a sun on just a measly broken arm and some ribs.
Imagine if Feitan is actually mortally wounded and uses his Nen.
And let's not forget, post mortem Nen exists, so killing Feitan probably kills you even faster.
Anyways, as I said, Chrollo with prep time has near endless possibilities, but claiming that Hisoka can beat him is CRAAAAZY tbh.

Yes, he is ridiculously strong, smart and talented, but from what we've seen, Feitan is portrayed to be MUCH faster and has an ability that bungee gum simply cannot overcome.
Bungee Gum won't save him from Pain Packer no matter how creatively he uses it.

Not really, how is it over when bungee gum is attached?
4 things:
1: In the manga the process was MUCH faster, the anime stretched it out with lots of slow mo running away and dialog, but realistically it took like 2 seconds, the transformation into the other clothes was an instant blink that Zazan didn't even realize.
2: He is much stronger once he's in the other clothes according to Zazan, so it's unlikely Hisoka can kill him in time to stop pain packer from going off.
3: Pain packer isn't like Jajanken where he needs to hold it and it can be interrupted. Once Feitan starts it, that little ball of Nen transforming into whatever catastrophic attack likely can't be stopped anymore.
4: Even if he kills him, post mortem Nen exists, so since we have no reason to believe Hisoka can pull off the one shot kill, AT BEST Hisoka gets a draw if he kills Feitan and then gets nuked.
So yeah, bungee gum stops nothing about this tbh.
@@ardynizunia9709 Ehm... I think your misconception comes from thinking that Feitan is way faster than Hisoka. No doubt Feitan might be the fastest in the troupe, but not by an order of magnitude faster. Indeed, compared to kalluto, he is MUCH faster. But it is very much implied in the scaling that the likes of phinks, while not faster, can more or less match him at the very least. Same for hisoka, who is stated to be very fast on numerous occasions. In fact the only portrayal we have of Feitan's speed is in this battle where it is the perspective of kalluto who is outclassed by everyone there, while everyone else seems unphased. Feitan speed also scales to a squadron leader ant, which is very fast, but feitan would be very much outsped by the likes of cheetu just like Knuckles and Morel. I think what makes feitan so dangerous is the fact that yes he is probably slightly faster than the other fastest troupe members, and his hatsu being extremely powerful (albeit with heavy restrictions). In a pure fight, let's imagine Hisoka takes it extremely seriously and is not playing around and just wants to go for the kill, he would be able to most likely match his speed (especially with using bungee gum) and try to go for an instant kill using that. If Hisoka damages Feitan but doesn't kill him, then Feitan probably wins with his Hatsu, otherwise Hisoka wins. But they are on similar scaling, feitan is not WAY stronger than chrollo or hisoka or anything like that.
The girl killed by Leol wasn't that dumb they forgot human-like magical beasts exist in that world so that's why people are pretty used to weird animals walking around

So my theory (just mine...) on why Zazan was so strong, besides her being a squadron leader, is because she's one of the few females. In ant colonies, the queen gives birth to a few females but only a couple of them are born to become New Queens. I think Zazan was meant to be a new Queen and that's why she had her own unique ability to create new chimera ants. Sort of like a new evolution to the former Queen having to constantly give birth.

Another thing I notice is that I think our boys here still seem to misunderstand a key element of HxH power system, where "Power Levels" aren't really the end all be all in these battles. 17:35 one of them (idk bros name...) he says Hisoka is crazy for thinking he can kill these guys. But that's not how nen battles work in this series. Strategy, intelligence, planning etc all goes into fighting your opponents in these fights.(Which I believe, was a point that Morel was trying to make earlier, in an arrogant way...)
