When you said the hacker comp was the worst i genuinely jumped up, THANK YOU, I remember watching that LIVE and thinking "Oh this season just went from hype to kinda bland all off that huh"
I genuinely hate how much people undermine how bad that twist was. The Hacker was so terrible and people try to defend it by saying that Rockstar shouldn't have messed up in Otev. She should never have been in that position in the first place.
Tbh it's my favorite twist along with the twin twist. I'm a more recent viewer I started with the season the hitman was on. I'm starting from the beginning now rn I'm on episode 14 of s2 I love bunky and kents friendship and will is entertaining so far. I think I liked s20 so much due to Tyler lol my 2nd favorite player is Monte though sorry for a useless rant just wanted to talk to someone about something I enjoy lol EDIT what's your favorite season and least favorite season so I can look out for them lol
@@iambeanss Literally the only good content it gave us was "Anallice" which, while a funny moment, was not worth how much it absolutely tanked the season.
"one of the most iconic moments in BB history is the reveal of the twins" Agreed, though I do think Michael is still out there somewhere insisting it's Holly
I think the biggest problem a lot of people have from BB25's Power of Invincibility twist is the timing of the twist. It was introduced the same week the Pressure Cooker HOH comp occurred, so cancelling this eviction essentially nullified the entire Pressure Cooker HOH. I think the idea behind how you earn and use the power is reasonable enough, but a lot of people don't really like the idea of a twist thwarting an HOH comp where the catalyst to winning the HOH is "How Bad do you Want it?"
Unpopular Opinion: BB11 would’ve easily been the best season if it weren’t for the coup de etat. There was a confrontational/entertaining cast, very fun gameplay, and an actually interesting showmance. The coup de etat got rid of the front runner, Jessie, and screwed over Chima and Russel. So unfair lmao
Did we all collectively forget that Alex treated Amanda like shit in BB9? He literally slut shamed her because she didn't reciprocate his feelings because he put no effort into building a relationship. Was Alex solely evicted due to being Amanda's soulmate? Yes. Do I wholeheartedly think he deserved it and was rejoicing when he didn't get to return after all? Absolutely! Parker (and Sharon had it not been for Neil's unexpected exit) definitely are a different story though. I just know Parker would've become a fan favorite had he been able to stay beyond week 1.
@@iambeanssHonestly I find Amanda to be one of the more sympathetic early boots in BB history. She never came off as particularly malicious, just naive and lacking self awareness. And the way she was treated by the other players, and failed by production, was really rough to watch Also, give her credit, she comes EXTREMELY close to staying that week, even more off of her work than Alex’s.
sequestering the jury was game-changing for future seasons, but to be fair I think danielle loses even if the jury is sequestered so i don't think it would change anything in those early seasons.
I'm baffled by how production fails to realise how anti-minority alliance MOST of their twists are. The hacker and festie besties are both huge examples of this. Edit: I also DESPISE the Ring of Replacement for the same reasons. Because it is literally just a free back-door against a member of the minority, which I hate.
I've always wondered if the 'Round Trip Ticket' odds were secretly rigged for the episodes. What I mean is what if Paul, for arriving in first, got the real one, but they dont tell the audience or other players and just let everyone else think its random.
It's nice to have another BB content creator, and you did well! But maybe next time it might be better to present things in chronological order instead of ranking order. I like watching placements go back and forth between the ranking categories, as well as the suspense leading up to each placement itself.
Great list! My own thoughts: - Some of the low ranking twists could be really interesting with a different cast. I'd like to see the Temptation Competition again in a season with a better cast/more fluid dynamic, it would be interesting to see who is willing to take the risk when different sides are in power. - I do agree with ranking the twists that take nomination power from the HOH low. Any twist that gives another HG to choose a nominee will always benefit the big alliance, since it gives the big alliance another out to nominate an underdog and get what they want, and the underdogs would have to win both HOH and the power to secure the week. DPOV, MVP, BOTB, Roadkill, Hacker, and Panic Power all suffer this problem. - I also agree in ranking returning HG twists low, they mostly just pad the game out longer and if anything give the dominant alliance an incentive to stick together to pick off the returning HG. Plus the threat of an HG returning can be enough to deter HGs from making big moves, knowing that there's a chance they could come back and get revenge. Camp Comeback really suffered from this, since the evicted HG would stay in the house and ruin the games of anyone who tried anything interesting, so it was the perfect thing for Gr8ful to stick together. - I prefer BB17's Twin Twist to BB5's because as iconic as the BB5 Twins reveal was, the Twins themselves were very unlikable and hurt the middle of the season, with their awful HOH reign and the next two weeks spent unceremoniously picking them off. - I strongly disagree with BB6 Secret Pairs being considered a failed twist. There was no way this twist wouldn't be found out and revealed eventually, someone without a partner would eventually win HOH and have no incentive to keep the twist a secret, and it just happened early on with Kaysar winning HOH week 3. Despite this some of the Friendship like Ivette were still shocked at everyone having a partner. I think the twist played out beautifully, with Kaysar using the twist to get James and Sarah to confide their secret to him and use the trust to form the Sovereign Six, and lead to one of the greatest quotes in BB history: "No, I sealed your partner's fate". - Sequestering the jury is so good that I consider it less of a twist and more of a necessary format change. I don't think Danielle wins BB3 with a sequestered jury, but just the perception that her DRs ruined her game would've caused a chilling effect that would've tainted all future seasons, making future DRs would become far more toothless and everyone would sound fake.
Pandora’s box is only an issue because of the Porsche not being able to leave without using it thing And the split house twist needs good timing because I feel like it could go so wrong when poorly timed or obviously used for rigging
Also, make the split hosue random. I know it worked out pretty well, but it would be more fair if the players were decided randomly. Also, make them switch sides at some point so they both get to experience it.
I feel like it should also happen earlier, it was a 2 person vote which played out extremely predictably with Alyssa obviously never voting for Kyle, and Terrance obviously not doing it either locking everything in from day 1 Maybe break it out at final 12, and make it random
I think on paper, twists like Camp Comeback and Zombie Week COULD’VE worked and I really like the concept of evicted houseguests not actually leaving the house and still being able to play the social game. The problem was that Camp Comeback was on BB21 and Zombie Week killed all momentum for what was otherwise shaping up to be a great season by having a week where nothing happened (not to mention rendered a fantastic double eviction pointless)
I'll give my list. This only includes main canon seasons (no off-shoots, BB1, or international seasons). I factored if it affects the game, how it affects the game, how fair it is, and if it made the show better. Results don't always dictate if a twist is good. All the mini-powers (like the pendant of protection and halting hex) aren't ranked separately, and are instead factored into the main twist's ranking. All itertaions of a twist are ranked as one. Sorry, this is a mouthful. But, not including mini-powers, there are 55 main twists from BB3-BB25. BB11 will always be a guilty pleasure season of mine and I totally agree if the Coup de’Etat didn’t exist this could have been an all time season
I agree with this so much. The post-coup BB11 hurts so much that it drips the season from the top of my ranking to nearly the bottom
I meant to say it screwed over Chima and helped Russel. i gotta slow down while typing lmao.
