      "Dang, that applause difference got me. Justice for Joseph. He didn't deserve what happened to him." As our lord and savior Julie Chen reminds us every Thursday, "Welcome to Big Brother." Backstabbing is a commonplace tactic in the game, it happens and nobody "deserves" or doesn't "deserve" it. That's how the game works.

      Kyle went far with this. But it is ironic that no one is calling out Taylor for bring up race for not wanting to put up Jasmine. But if Kyle had won and said he didn’t want to put up Alyssa because she was white, the internet would be in a frenzy

This is some major clickbait material.

    Man am I happy you showed Kyle Shore's speech after he got evicted, b/c it is basically the antithesis of how much of BBUS has acted over the years. Yes, some very good natured people have been on Big Brother, especially in BB23 and Taylor Hale from this current season, but the fact BBUS has so often been plagued by scandals of prejudice for so many different seasons is really disheartening. So seeing a speech like Kyle Shore's was really uplifting.

    • @ultranaticproductions3103
      @ultranaticproductions3103 2 ปีที่แล้ว +56

      @@reidye To answer that question, let's reverse that mentality. What has she done that would be deemed as *awful*? Pretty much nothing. The majority of the house has been cruel to her, either directly or indirectly, and rather than get angry back, which is what most people would do in that situation, she treats these people with at least more respect than they did to her. And not even by default either, which would be easy enough. Even when she took a dig at them, like Nicole during her eviction speech, it comes across less her being spiteful, and more her being kinda playful. When she quotes Rihanna as a superfan, it strikes me as more of a wink to the audience than actual disdain she's showing to the people around her.

    • @austindynes99
      @austindynes99 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      i personally would say the cookout is racist if it were to happen again but the reason behind it is what makes it’s completely fine they wanted the first black winner on there season, I dont think Taylor nor Kyle are racist I think taylor was being true to herself the whole season even though her finale speech did seem like if you have something against a woman of colour than youll vote against me but i could be completely wrong on that I really hated this season after what happened to kyle so I may have misread it at the time. Whereas kyle imo didnt say anything that crossed the line he simply pointed out that there could be a cookout as there was last season and some POC said they would never put another POC up so I think he just made a wrong assumption personally I would hold michael more to blame as he held that for weeks and let it go at the perfect time; If you know its that racist why hold onto it for so long and twist the words when you tell people. Its hard to have hope for a good big brother season in the future when everyone is so scared now to be condemned for anything they might say, so to sum it up I personally think none of the parties listed are racist some maybe just misread if you look at bb15 and some other seasons these people are all saints lol

    Hi, it's the person who found the wrong Kyle Moore here! I'll never forget the day that happened. I was frantically searching through Twitter to find his account, and I felt confident it was him because he was a white man from Canada who liked the hockey. Clearly, I didn't do a very good job going beyond that, lmao. I did not expect that to spread through BB Twitter as much as it did. People's default answer has always been "Oh, BB Twitter collectively found Kyle" but I truly believe if it wasn't for me, none of that would've happened!! Maybe someone else would've found the wrong account later, but we'll never know. At least BBCAN10 Kyle thanked me for finding him after things died down. While it's not really my job to appreciate it, I think it's great that you give Kyle all the credit he deserves for recognizing what he did, but are still very sure to say that doesn't mean he's off the hook, or his actions are forgiven, or that there won't be repercussions on the outside. I hope this can serve as a reminder to people (very much including myself) to continue learning and unlearning and educating ourselves on how to do better, and treat people equittably.

      @@User-vd9hr I want to believe that but we all said that about Aaryn and she never truly changed after she left the house, same with Ginamarie. It also doesn't help that many think that while Kyle was crying in the DR room after being confronted, he was coached on what to say in response. It makes me wonder how much he truly understands what he did wrong, something we have seen with many of the evicted houseguests this season. I hope that he grows from the experience, but I am also annoyed at CBS for all the ways they mishandled this situation and how much the casual viewers won't see any of this!

    I personally didn’t understand Kyle’s thinking that a cookout 2.0 existed because the house dynamics didn’t make sense for that to happen. I could see that being a worry in maybe the first or second week because of how successful that alliance was in the previous season, but after seeing the whole house going against Taylor, Terrance being put on the block every other week, and Monte being your closest ally, it didn’t really make a lot of sense.
    I will say in his defense Taylor’s HOH was pretty bad with her changing the target every 5 minutes, and Kyle not being included in a lot of those conversations about the plans didn’t help things. However, the fact he through in Indy to that group even though she was really pissed at Taylor and wanted to make an all white alliance is the most damning for him in the end.

      >I will say in his defense Taylor’s HOH was pretty bad with her changing the target every 5 minutes
      Yes, Taylor said she wouldn't eliminate a black woman which raised some eyebrows but Taylor's first target was Terrance before other members of the leftovers started trying to change her mind to evict Indy instead. Kyle knowing that Terrance was Taylor's first target should also be more reason a Cookout 2.0 doesn't exist. Even if Joseph Taylor and Monte were possibly forming together to create an alliance that still isn't a Cookout 2.0 and doesn't warrant trying to recruit every white houseguest. He was just dumb and let his biases (whether subconscious or conscious) get in the way of logic.

    • @HMaxQc

      This is why allowing the Cookout last year was dumb, it created a prejudice. Kyle may have been in the wrong, but it did happen last year. The production let a race-based alliance win a season for representation, but failed to see to consequences for years to come. I really hope race is not going be a recurrent topic. And, when you hear Taylor talking about black women... why black? and how much black is not okay? This race rhetoric is none sense and needs to stop. Aren't we against discrimination?

    Your views on Kyle & the comments made was spot on!! I’m an African American woman and this is exactly what I was saying about the situation. You can’t assume a cookout would form again when the goal of the cookout was to finally crown a black winner. They did that, and helped open the conversation for unconscious biases brought to the game to be erased.
    Knowing that Jasmin & Terrence did not like Taylor and that Nicole was a bully to her & Amariah(sorry idk how to spell) was gone and never working with Taylor was clear sigh s that there were not an alliance. Then to assume Joseph & Indy would be in it soley because they’re poc when the cookout was all black to ensure a black winner, was just chaotic thinking. I don’t think he hates poc, but he’s not very smart about these things, is quite ignorant & sheltered. Hopefully he learns and actually educates himself over the course of years throughout his life. Because unchecked micro aggressions can become dangerous overtime.

    So like the thing with Kyle for me is that its kinda weird how he said he had unconscious thoughts about the minorities and stuff, but then in the leftovers 3 of the 7 members in the leftovers were minorities. This is even when Kyle had the biggest hand in putting this alliance together.
    Although Kyle has somewhat admitted to being racist, he also did some good things in the house (like protecting Taylor when it came to bullying and stuff) but also has done some very bad stuff in the house. I definitely think he can grow as a person and become better, and if Kyle can prove he's grown as a person then I would be willing to forgive his actions. Ethanimale,. thank you for everything you do. If there is one thing I appreciate, it's how well you tackle the more controversial social issues in BB. When it came to the cookout, you were able to recognize what amazing achievement it was, and not the racist event that people falsely make it out to be. When it comes to the Kyle Capener situation, I am glad you provided the same accurate insight here too! The thing is, I am appalled by all the people who claim Kyle did nothing wrong, whether it's because they think Kyle was justified in what he did due to the cookout (wrongfully) being racist, or because they felt his words were taken out of context, which they weren't. Look even as a cisgender white male, I am fully aware of how problematic Kyle's comments were, and it's insane to think that he did nothing wrong knowing he made several questionable assumptions during this season. If you think the cookout is racist but have not condemned the microaggressions that made it nearly impossible for Black players to win before season 23, please reevaluate your positions. If you think Kyle did nothing wrong, than you are either being disingenuous, or you don't follow the feeds, because assuming a cookout 2.0 is happening based on zero evidence and proposing an all white alliance to combat it is beyond problematic. That being said, a couple additional points from that season:
    1. Michael and Brittany are being framed as worse than Kyle and while they definitely should have come clean with this info sooner, they are not worse than Kyle in any way. The fact that people think they are ruining Kyle's life is also absurd, because being held accountable will not ruin his life. Hell, even someone like Aaryn, who was arguably worse in BB15, she is supposedly worse now and she still has a life and career, so clearly he'll be fine either way. There is a conversation to be had surrounding Michael and Brittany's bad acts, but that should not take away from holding Kyle accountable!
    2. Production tried desperately to hide Kyle's bad behavior. They never alluded to Kyle's comments until Michael and Brittany decided to expose him, and even when it happened, the edit made Kyle out to be way more sympathetic than he deserved, and it failed to show some of the gross comments he made about the POC houseguests, including calling Joseph a scumbag for trying to defend himself. Even worse, the feeds were down when everything about Kyle's comments was discussed, only showing what was said as an edit. The fact that production tried to make Michael and Brittany out to be the true villains and redeem Kyle is all sorts of wrong, even if they all messed up in this situation!
    So for those who want to defend Kyle and claim he did nothing wrong, I kindly suggest you rethink that position, because when you take all the facts into account, there is no excuse for how he acted!

      Make no mistake, there is nothing racist about the cookout, because their goal was to crown the first black winner, not to shun all non-black players. They existed to right a wrong of no black winners for the first 22 seasons. Those who have a problem with the cookout are telling on themselves because they will be outraged about the cookout but not about all the black players who have been mistreated over the years!

    Kyle's game in a nutshell: When you build a diverse alliance, then build another diverse alliance on top of said alliance to build even more diverse alliance to take out the strategic head of another diverse alliance via a blindside and then target the hated members of said diverse alliance while infiltrating said diverse alliance who builds another diverse alliance with you in it that you're already betraying, then the house splits and you expose your own diverse alliance to frame a member of both your first diverse alliance and pin the blame on them, but also form a counter anti-diverse diverse alliance that's technically diverse because you included a old black man to make it 25% diverse only for all the other members of your diverse alliance to start questioning what happened before and expose how you backstabbed the diverse alliance you built and having both diverse alliances still in the game turn their back on you.

    Kyle Capener did nothing wrong. A successful alliance that steamrolls their season always creates imitators. Keeping an ear to the ground for a potential cookout 2.0 wasn't a bad thing. You could say that Kyle was being paranoid or had a bad read of the game, and that alone could be an argument to get him out. You don't need to act as if he's committed some flavor of blasphemy and immediately assume the worst of him.
    Creating a precedent where some subjects are simply off the table and will get you punished for simply entertaining the thought is really unhealthy.

They said big brother was canceling him for "doing nothing" and also "thinking somewhat correctly". Which is my absolute problem with the editing and production of BBUS now. It had put kyle up on this really weird pedestal, hadn't shown this information earlier in the game, and made me feel like Kyle had this good edit... taylor hadn't.
    Even after Taylor said that he isn't canceled in her eyes, my mom and brother immediately called it that simply for the fact this information about kyle was completely witheld from the rest of the show. The fact that kyle still has a chance to redeem himself in the future, shows he isn't cancelled, but that he can grow.

    Kyle from this most recent season was one of the saddest evictions from the show that i've seen in a long time. He was my pick,he seems like an amazing person. & even though I felt a little hurt when he did make his assumptions, but then COMMON SENSE kicked in & i was like, "wait! He actually right to speculate that & didn't do or say anything blatantly wrong for him to be treated/'exposed' this way"....i just know there was so much more they could've aired to not throw him under a bus that may effect his life for a very very long time. Smh,curse of the Kyles.

But i know he meant no harm & was a great BB contestant & person. So,I'm fine with the truth,he's fine with the truth...now, maybe you can get over it too. 😉

    BBCAN8 Kyle was awful, you guys say BB24 Kyle was wrong, but if you watched BBCAN8 before it got canceled then he was WAY worst than BB24 Kyle, because BB24 Kyle may have gotten things all over his head, BBCAN 8 Kyle is absolutely a racist! When I watched BBCAN8 the cast was awful! but Kyle was the worst of them, and what Ethanimale just described of BBCAN8's Kyle was just the tip of the iceberg!

    Kyle’s cookout theory was stupid, but Michael and Brittany never tried to talk him out of it.

      michael clearly is a little performative and only uses issues like racism when it benefits his game and brittany just goes along with whatever michael wants and does. they only exposed it because michael wanted his revenge. i’m glad it did get exposed but it’s weird

      They did. Kyle got pushed back from Michael in that first conversation, and later Brittany told Kyle that she doesn’t want to be a part of it as shown on the show. Did you even watch the show? It’s always someone’s fault. Isn’t it?

Plus, Kyle absolutely stopped suspecting a Cookout alliance weeks before Michael & Brittany "exposed" Kyle. They twisted the truth & made it seem like Kyle was getting out blk people.

    seems there's a lot of mental gymnastics needed to think the CO wasn't racist, but Kyle is for making a pretty obvious observation. An observation that came after Taylor said her peace about not voting out a black woman. this "greater good" narrative doesn't excuse blatant racism. I'm Gen X, so we were taught early to be colorblind and treat everyone equal. I also realize IXK and RD have done great work in propagating the notion of perpetual victimhood. It's everyone's choice. Be a forever victim or realize you're not the center of the universe and the world isn't out to get you. I say that having lost both parents early in my life and as someone who battled back from a heart attack, cancer, and a miscarriage. Life's not fair for anyone. Last year X or Tiffany could've easily won on their own. isn't X's win a little tainted beacuse he had half the house and BB production on his side? I'd rather not win it

    • @eclecticsteak
      @eclecticsteak 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it didn’t. He mentioned it before Taylor’s HOH. You obviously don’t watch feeds, so maybe fact-check first.

    • @eclecticsteak
      @eclecticsteak 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You should also look into how “colorblindness” only further upholds racism by turning a blind eye to it. There are lots of articles and literature on the matter ✌️
      Also, Survivors bias. You sound like you have been through a lot and have overcome incredible challenges in life and I genuinely hope you are healing from that trauma. You are incredibly strong. Often people turn callous as a way to cope and survive, which is understandable but not an excuse to invalidate others struggles
