I also went to school with a cafegymtorium and I didn't realize not everyone's school had to do that until I got older, hypothetically. And our winter concerts were painful to attend as well, but that's because we were terrible
I know it was such a small part of this video, but thanks for being an amazing and understanding kitty mom💕 So many people get frustrated or give up when their new fur babies have a "scared" moment like that, he's lucky to have you😊
"Glitter is forever." LOL. My youngest graduated from high school last year & sometimes I get a little sad about it, but you reminded me that one of the benefits is that I no longer have to endure the band concerts and seasonal concerts. 🤣
wow Mary. I normally watch your videos to relax but this one had my anxiety off the charts!! We sound like the same person. Misophonia, migraines, hating large crowds, wanting my "bubble" to myself. being quiet in public. I can so relate to this entire experience. You done great to keep your composure. I would have lost my **** before the music even started.
I can’t stand the sound of other’s eating, it brings out a temporary yet undeniable loathing & fury, whilst they have no idea why I’ve turned from everyday pleasantries to a fixed menacing glare.
Mary, that sounds like torture! I don’t think most people get it, but when you have misophonia, the extreme emotions are 100% real and overwhelming . I avoid busy places, but as a mom you don’t have that luxury. But it sure makes for entertaining content!
My partner just directed his students winter concert. Those poor directors get put through so much hell😂 But it’s all for the parents, really, and for the kids to have a fun time. :)
When you describe yourself, it sounds so much like myself. It’s very comforting to hear someone who can so closely relate, especially about audio+visual mysophonia, no one ever knows what I mean. Love your videos so much! Thank you for sharing as much as you do ❤️
Mary you crack me up, this is my favourite type of asmr chatty story type videos, I also LOVE your 1940s gossip lady ones I’ve watched them all Atleast 10 times, I wish you’d make more!! When you have the chance. Thankyou for all your work xx
This was one of the funniest videos! I laugh so hard when your relating a bizzar story. Your up there with Carl Burnett as far as I'm concerned. Keep em coming! Thanks for making my 2019. Look forward to more in 2020!
Sorry for what sounded like a really tough couple of hours but I'm sure glad you use this platform to once in a while share your life experiences. This was the most entertainment I've had in a long time. Your descriptions of your audience companions had me howling. So genuinely hilarious...stuff that can't be made up. And I saw this after your cheesecake video. Yes you certainly deserved that cheesecake!
Yikes! I am an elementary music teacher and Choral director, and I just put on our 3rd grade chorus winter concert when I was 37 weeks pregnant and we not only started on time but all the parents loved it :-) sorry you had such a terrible experience!! Not to brag but I am pretty proud of myself and my chorus kiddos! The kids all spoke beautifully into the microphone, and instead of shushing the audience I just refuse to start each song until the parents get quiet so sometimes we wait a little linger in between the selections but I believe that I’m teaching not only music but audience etiquette! Us teachers really do try hard.... the worst part for us is dealing with rude parents, believe it or not!
I am the exact same way with sound! My absolute least favourite is when people lick/suck food off their fingers after a messy meal. Or when people sniffle instead of just blowing their nose. So I feel your pain I guess lol.
Wonderful story-telling as always, Mary! That sounds like a waking nightmare, I would have felt the same way. Heck, I'm kind of having second hand suffering but I'm also getting a kick out of the way you're recounting this trying event lol. But anyway, I hate crowds, too- largely because I have horrible social anxiety but also because I have misophonia and hate unreasonable noise levels. As for the humming guy, my dad does the same thing and it honestly drives me completely nuts, all the more so because I fight my hardest to contain my rage. I just can't stand it.
In re: Dexter and getting angry. My rescue cat sometimes does that. If you catch her off guard, or she doesn’t see a way out she freaks out and doesn’t want to be touched. She was abused in her former home and we’ve had her for 5 years, she’s getting better realizing we aren’t going to hurt her but she still has her moments. From your Facebook post it sounds like Dexter had quite the life before he came to you!
I was rolling around laughing watching this video, I attended my sons first winter concert this year and recognise some of the theoretical characters you encountered. Absolute comedy gold! 😂🤣
God bless you, your son, and poor Anders. You should get a trophy for not just grabbing your son, and leaving, before the show started. I’m putting a pop-up note on my iphone calendar, to remind me to pack airplane bottles for my step-daughters’ holiday show.
oh my goodness what did you do to deserve a night like that ToT but LOL i forgot how amazing your story telling skills are, both in river road & your hypothetical neighborhood/alleged life updates.
You’re a great Mom, Mary. Really you are! Your boys are fortunate to have you. Also, every southern woman knows exactly what those women yelling “Anders!” looked like. No judging, just saying 😂
Sounds like the joys of travelling on a plane. I would hate to be the janitor for that mess. It's fun when they grow up but its hard dealing with no more kiddie activities.NO meatballs.Glad to know others have "fun" experiences too.
I feel your pain about the migraine eyebrow pain, as I call it. And also the loud crowds. Some of these stories were just hilarious 😂 that little girl coming out of the sliding door lol I feel for her....
I love that I'm not the only shady southern queen out there. I was cracking up hearing about Anders. 😂😂😂😂 and the cafegymtorium is all too relatable. Must be a thing with elementary schools in the NC Piedmont region 😂😂😂
I’m dying from laughter at midnight! 😂 You are beyond hilarious! But I’m sorry you had to deal with all of that. And gosh.. the humming guy. Lmao!! I can’t stop laughing.
One minute the school janitor, who while (hypothetically) dressed in a marbled gray and black Fair Isle sweater with bears on it, was joyfully helping the music teacher with the Kindergarten and First Grade classes jazz hands rendition of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and then the next (alleged) moment he’s cleaning bodily fluids that emanated from one poor, little girl’s upset tummy during the song Suzy Snowflake. Good times, good times... 😉🧑🏼🔧🐻🙌🏻🤢❄️ That was our family’s livin’ on the edge Holiday concert tonight. How ‘bout you all? 🤔
Oh my god as soon as she said “cafegymatorium” I had flashbacks to elementary/middle school. I went to a wicked small catholic school and we had one of those too.
Oh honey you have the patience of a saint! I would have gone screaming out of there!! People are so incredibly rude. I think your kids will grow up with manners because you have class. :)
I knew it'd be the last one for either of my kids, so I tried to enjoy it as much as I could. The sound quality was so bad that even when my son's class was doing their stuff, you couldn't really understand anything they were singing. That was allegedly disappointing.
Cafegymatorium, I've never heard that before. I had to google it. My schools also had one building only for everything but they called it the multipurpose room. I feel your pain, it sounded miserable.
My son's orchestra winter concert was tonight, also, hypothetically. Haha It was amazing, though. They have 4 different orchestra types and it lasts 2 hours.
Mary, I don't know what you did to me but I will be going about my day, randomly think of that man's hum, and burst into crazy laughter. Hm mm MM mm mm (I tried!).
Actually people with social anxiety hum in stressful situations to calm them down. I do it a lot and yes it's kind of annoying but it's a useful coping mechanism! It's makes my bf my tho😂
Mary, I had a day in hell too (hypothetically), so thanks for the laughs! I really needed them. You’re so talented & hilarious. I was cracking up every time you said cafegymtorium.
I went to THREE of one of my brothers winter concerts this month alone. Why on earth does his school need three whole concerts? And the running theme was international Christmas music radio show. (I also have misophonia. Made one of my best friends by asking him to stop chewing gum behind me or I’d lose my mind)
I also went to school with a cafegymtorium and I didn't realize not everyone's school had to do that until I got older, hypothetically. And our winter concerts were painful to attend as well, but that's because we were terrible
I love your "hypothetical" stories!
That theoretical gentleman sounds like he hates his existence and was looking at his kid as a reminder of why he was even there.
I swear, I can’t with her😂😂😂😂 She cracks me up in every video.
I know it was such a small part of this video, but thanks for being an amazing and understanding kitty mom💕 So many people get frustrated or give up when their new fur babies have a "scared" moment like that, he's lucky to have you😊
Trying Times At The Cafegymtorium
😅
The theoretical man sounds like a stalker/serial killer. If he was humming the whole time he would have freaked me out lol
Youre really a great story teller, even if it's just about terrible school functions lol - glad you got through that hell!
You should have merch with “cafegymtorium” on it 😂 this is probably one of my favorite videos of yours
"Glitter is forever." LOL. My youngest graduated from high school last year & sometimes I get a little sad about it, but you reminded me that one of the benefits is that I no longer have to endure the band concerts and seasonal concerts. 🤣
This is hypothetically the most accurate story about a school concert I’ve ever heard 😭😭💖
I love when you do these story type videos. It’s so soothing and it’s like I’m spending time with family.
I love these hypothetical,allegedly, theoretical stories 😂
My favorite videos of yours are definitely these hypothetical stories!! Please keep making them!
I also have Misophonia and asmr!!
I have never known another person like me so thank you so much for sharing, it really meant a lot to me.
💕💕
I have both ASMR & misophonia too! It’s both heaven & hell! I cannot deal with the sound of anyone eating/chewing. It makes me want to get violent!😂
I also do too 🙃
wow Mary. I normally watch your videos to relax but this one had my anxiety off the charts!! We sound like the same person. Misophonia, migraines, hating large crowds, wanting my "bubble" to myself. being quiet in public. I can so relate to this entire experience. You done great to keep your composure. I would have lost my **** before the music even started.
if i had a dollar for every stage show i've been in or seen that started on time, i'd have approximately $0 lolol
Your hypothetical videos, especially soft spoken, are some of my favorite videos. Always fun, entertaining, and relaxing.
I can’t stand the sound of other’s eating, it brings out a temporary yet undeniable loathing & fury, whilst they have no idea why I’ve turned from everyday pleasantries to a fixed menacing glare.
Oh, you poor thing! This is hilaaaaarious. Allegedly. Thank you for the laughs.
"They all looked like cattle chewing their cud" 😂😂😂 I'm weak , great story telling
Mary, that sounds like torture! I don’t think most people get it, but when you have misophonia, the extreme emotions are 100% real and overwhelming . I avoid busy places, but as a mom you don’t have that luxury. But it sure makes for entertaining content!
I felt this level of uncomfortable introvertism the migraine especially
Sounds like pure hell. I hate that chewing gum with mouth open. I hate crowds. I'm sorry for you and your son. And no meatballs!
Love these relaxed videos! Just feels so comforting like hanging out with a good friend ❤️
My partner just directed his students winter concert. Those poor directors get put through so much hell😂 But it’s all for the parents, really, and for the kids to have a fun time. :)
These types of videos are one of my favorites for sure!
When you describe yourself, it sounds so much like myself. It’s very comforting to hear someone who can so closely relate, especially about audio+visual mysophonia, no one ever knows what I mean. Love your videos so much! Thank you for sharing as much as you do ❤️

Love your videos Mary! Thank you for sharing your winter concert he’ll with us
This whole video is a mood. Fr, I feel exactly like this at weddings (Pakistani ones that drag on and on forever).
I'm a few days late watching but I have to say these real life videos are some of my favorites! Thank you Mary!!
These videos are my absolute alleged favorites! And this one does not hypothetically disappoint! 👍🏻🙌🏻
My daughter and I are the same, we’re as quiet as mice while we’re home. I hate noisy places
Sorry for what sounded like a really tough couple of hours but I'm sure glad you use this platform to once in a while share your life experiences. This was the most entertainment I've had in a long time. Your descriptions of your audience companions had me howling. So genuinely hilarious...stuff that can't be made up. “The program was supposed to start at 6 ... oh no oh no” 🤣🤣🤣
Yikes! I am an elementary music teacher and Choral director, and I just put on our 3rd grade chorus winter concert when I was 37 weeks pregnant and we not only started on time but all the parents loved it :-) sorry you had such a terrible experience!! !! I also have misophonia! I applaud your ability to sit through the concert, i would have had to leave and calm down somewhere else
Oh Mary. You may have had terrible time but I had tears rolling down my face. I think every parent has had one of those nights. ❤️
I am the exact same way with sound! My absolute least favourite is when people lick/suck food off their fingers after a messy meal. Or when people sniffle instead of just blowing their nose. So I feel your pain I guess lol.
I once had a two hour exam where this girl was like gurgling & sniffing through her nose the whole time... Literally have never felt so much rage haha
@@muffin-kx2mf Sounds like my worst nightmare!
@@muffin-kx2mf I hope you still passed by the way!
When you put your hand over your mouth to sound like the people, I lost it 😂
“They had no meatballs!!” just made me laugh out loud. How dare they!😂
You have such a gift for storytelling! Thanks for another great video. 🙂
This is so relatable 😂😂
Wonderful story-telling as always, Mary! That sounds like a waking nightmare, I would have felt the same way. I enjoy these SOOO much. Thank you ❤️
I clicked on this to help me get ready for bed.... bad idea because I had to stay up to hear the whole thing and was laughing throughout it. 😂
I was genuinely dozing off and almost asleep and when she said cafegymtorium my eyeballs flew open I cannot believe that’s a real thing I-
Soccer moms scare me now haven’t seen one in my school but every time I see one or hear stuff bout them they act crazy
In re: Dexter and getting angry. My rescue cat sometimes does that. If you catch her off guard, or she doesn’t see a way out she freaks out and doesn’t want to be touched. she says “cafigymtorium” LMAO
My absolute favorites!
Hahahaha this was hilarious Mary!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I burst out laughing at "she sounded like a hole in a tyre" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love these so much, I feel like I'm having tea with my cousin and catching up on gossip :)
You’re a great Mom, Mary. Really you are! Your boys are fortunate to have you. Also, every southern woman knows exactly what those women yelling “Anders!” looked like. No judging, just saying 😂

My band/orchestra Winter Concert is on Thursday (for real) and you’re invited Mary!
I love your stories oh my goodness! 🤣
The whole video had me laughing so hard 😂😂
I’m dying from laughter at midnight! 😂 You are beyond hilarious! But I’m sorry you had to deal with all of that. And gosh.. the humming guy. Lmao!! I can’t stop laughing.
The little cat purrs 😢🥺

Oh my! I know I shouldn’t have laughed but what a night! Anyone who deals with elementary students does not get paid nearly enough!! 😂😂
So true, Nancy! So true...Thanks for commenting on my post and have a fabulous holiday season! Christine in CO 😁
❤️ you Mary.
Oh my god as soon as she said “cafegymatorium” I had flashbacks to elementary/middle school. I went to a wicked small catholic school and we had one of those too.
I needed a good laugh tonight, thank you Mary! 😂❤
Oh honey you have the patience of a saint! I would have gone screaming out of there!! People are so incredibly rude. I think your kids will grow up with manners because you have class. :)

Oh god... that sounds like a creepy dream with all those freaky hoomans 😅 And also: poor Anders! Great that you and your son made it through!
the cafegymtorium. oh, mary. i love you 😂
"and then I went to Subway and they had no meatballs" I'm so dead 😂💀
The one thing I hat more than anything is the sound of “shhhhh” it hurts my head and makes me so angry. I don’t know why but dang I can’t stand it.
I felt like i was there, you are a great story teller
oh my god, that sounds like literal hell.
“... theoretically..”
It sounds like the teachers should’ve been handing out mini bottles to all the parents 😹
Needed this today ❤️
Going to bed nowww 💤💤💤
Christmas in Jazz-town = the 7th circle of hell...lol...and that humming guy might not have had a kid in the play or the school for that matter.
My son's orchestra winter concert was tonight, also, hypothetically. Haha It was amazing, though. They have 4 different orchestra types and it lasts 2 hours.
must be annoying, haha. Allegedly.
Mary, I don't know what you did to me but I will be going about my day, randomly think of that man's hum, and burst into crazy laughter. Hm mm MM mm mm (I tried!).

You look very pretty Mary love your voice so relaxing sounds interesting you're the best Mary 🎅💞💕☺⭐🎅💙💙
I lost it at cafegymtorium 😂😂😂
I work at subway. We’re always out of meatballs they take like an hour to heat up lmao
Mary, I had a day in hell too (hypothetically), so thanks for the laughs! I really needed them. You’re so talented & hilarious. I was cracking up every time you said cafegymtorium.
Cafegymtorium made me cackle every time!!!!
I felt my mom in this video... they had no meatballs!! Omg the Christmas show.. I played the Grinch... I guess that was fitting...
I went to THREE of one of my brothers winter concerts this month alone. Why on earth does his school need three whole concerts? And the running theme was international Christmas music radio show.
(I also have misophonia. Made one of my best friends by asking him to stop chewing gum behind me or I’d lose my mind)
Now a meatball sub sounds absolutely amazing right now.
I feel so bad for you I would of lost it with those ladies in my ear and that creepy man 💀😭😂
Oh my gosh. Soooo relatable. 😂😂😂
I’ve lived this I swear. So funny, you can’t allegedly make this stuff up! 🌺
They ought to give alcohol at these things. I feel bad for dragging my parents to those things when I played an instrument
wait, did you get another cat? who’s dexter? i feel lost lol
A few videos back, Mary explained that she's fostering a cat that was dumped at her Father's house. That is Dexter :)
