    What is the excuse for a resistive touch screen in 2019?

    Can you use your steering wheel controls right out of the box or do you need other accessories?

    Need to remove an old CarPlay device from NEX W4400. I do the reset all but it still shows up in the list. I’ve done the front panel paper clip reset, and that does even less ie doesn’t let you choose network or standard

      I had the same issue until I actually grounded the unit. I had failed to connect ground as part of installation. If you didn’t ground, consider that.

    To get the info from the car (tire pressure, gauges,etc) did it require something else like idatalink, or is it built in to thwe head unit?

    Too expensive, especially for a system with resistive touch.

    Ugh! Absolutely hate the way it dims the screen when the volume is changed especially at a critical point following the sat nav.

    I love CarPlay and wish Honda would release wireless CarPlay in their new vehicle line up. Honda was an early adopter so I thought they’d be early with wireless CarPlay. I don’t understand the delay. I would literally trade in my current Honda for a new one if they’d only put wireless CarPlay in their new vehicles. I guess they don’t get it.

      Any good installer would make sure that both would work, especially since that’s where you access all of the vehicle settings.

    I have had the Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX for about 5 months and it's nice, but I do have problems with wireless carplay cutting in and out and completely disconnecting in some specific areas. It can be quite frustrating when that happens with your GPS running on the screen. Overall though I do like it, but it's definitely not perfect.

      Brett Holmes I’d recommend you go to the pioneer website and keep the latest firmware available updated in the radio.

      did you need to get some sort of portable wifi hotspot router in order to connect the unit and your phone together? Or does the device connect directly through bluetooth?

    DO NOT BUY!!!! Avh w4500 nex FULL OF ISSUES. LIFESPAN ON AVERAGE OF 18 MONTHS 😂 cheap SD cards used that fail and pioneer will charge you $200 a year to fix it. What a joke. Don’t waste your money

    • @Pinkielover
      @Pinkielover ปีที่แล้ว +1

      easy fix,, I fixed mine. I made a video, but my video got deleted somehow from my device before I was able to post it. but I can walk you through it. I even have an extra SD card i made just in case the one I made fails but it hasn't. It works great right now... I can walk you through it if you ever need help.. there's a video online how to do it you have to follow it step-by-step.. I actually live out of my car so I had to go get a laptop to do it took a couple days and I brought the laptop back to Walmart got my money back and I fix the problem it was doing a boot loop
