    Great lesson. I had a question. You mentioned subject is always a noun. In that case can the words like 'She' , 'They'. Can it be considered as a noun?

      Correct and with some explanation. A clause has a subject and predicate, but a phrase does not. Therefore, 'on hot days' is a phrase.

      "In the evening" doesn't mean anything. What about the evening? You need more information; therefore, it's a dependent clause. Example: "In the evening I went to the lake."

      " He didn't want to WASH THE DISHES" is an independent clause because it has a subject and a verb so it has a full information

      Hi there!! Actually the meaning of 'a','an' is to represent 'one' its a basic thing. In the sentence icecream follows the subject that is plural. Apparently, plural
      never takes any articles. Hope it helps...
