High Dez, lovely bit of filming sir. Great looking lake too. Absolutely love Tench, had a long break from the fresh water scene but trying to get back into it now. Lost my Dad nearly 22 years ago, not only my dad but my fishing buddy too, also a while before dad, was uncleTom, Tom Hazeldene, rep for John Goddard Effgeco fishing tackle. We had many many happy hours of fishing and i have a multitude of memories, 71 now and still love fishing. Again great video, some lovely fish and you've also given me a bit more enthusiasm to get out there again. So thanks for that. Good health and good luck on the bank. Cheers mate Les.
Les, it's Chappy the cameraman... lovely post...not sure where you are located sir, but might I suggest booking a day out with Des? Am sure you would enjoy it. All the best 👍
@CadenceFishingUK High Chappy, thanks for the reply 👍 appreciated. I'm down in Essex, and thanks for your suggestion, to be honest i thought Dez was solo at first 🤔 but then I thought 🤔 no 👎 🤔 someone has to be behind the lens.lol Cheers Les.
@CadenceFishingUK yes, bit of a trot but, I can assure you the pleasure would be all mine I'm sure. Dez Taylor is a name I've known for many years as a greatly respected Angler to whom I duff my cap.
When I was a youngster (early eighties). You could catch tench on every canal in my area, also the local park lakes were prolific tench waters. Carp were rare and celebrated, but it was tench that provided the majority of the sport. Now, you can't find a tench water anywhere near me, but carp puddles are abundant. I'd rather catch covid, than catch a carp.
@@cadencefishinguk North West England The Leeds-liverpool canal was so good, that on June 16th, you couldn't find a peg. I'm talking 6 miles of canal, with an angler on every peg. The introduction of managed commercial fisheries, although great for the sport, has left us carp obsessed. I regularly pay ten quid a day to fish a crowded, overstocked piss pond I'd pay double, or even treble that amount to fish a genuine Tench lake.
Nice video Des and cadence. I fully agree with the end being white/ different colour especially if using for bottom fishing. Weirdly I've got the cadence 13 8 power feeder and that doesn't have a coloured tip! I think they do now.
Films like this are the nearest I can get to catching tench these days. There's nowhere near me that has tench waters like this. Everyone wants to to stuff the waters full of carp and F1s, which quite frankly soon gets boring.
I know we all watch these matchman type videos, but Mr Taylor proper fishing. Thank you
The world needs more tench fishing films, thank you Des and cadence 👏👏👏
The number of carp specific channels is getting ridiculous.
It doesn't get much better than this! Stunning venue, the water absolutely fizzing with tench! Great video...many thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow! I used to fish Docklow up until ab 15 years ago. It's matured into a really spectacular venue! I'll have to visit again.
Nice video, lovely lake

Ah maybe a bit far then. Just a thought. Yes, Des is good...but no that good lol. He still needs a cameraman.

That 1lb twin tip rod is a classic. Extremely versatile!
A very good angler and the most beautiful fishes
Thank you for your useful tips! Very useful content! Very nice fish!
Could sit on the bank all day with Des and listen to his knowledge 🎣
I did...he's a gem. Chappy 😊
Beautiful!

Merci beaucoup pour cette belle vidéo on s'y croirait
Fantastic video 👏🏼👏🏼
Love Des!
A heads up to people buying cadence # 1 and # 2 feeders . The lighter tips break very easily and cadence haven’t had replacements for months.
There is something special about tench...I often go past docklow on the way to my parents...is the tench pool day ticket ?
Wondering what kind of meat is used? Is it beef or pork? Canned or home cooked?
Hi, Des was using luncheon meat.

Can anyone tell me if cadence vigor is a good spinning reel or not?
It is probably sold by Cadence in USA. No doubt very good ❤
unless single hookbait fishing ,tench are gill feeders
Wonder when this was recorded?
