Only thing I would let her know is that good things never come easy. If they did then everyone would be in real estate. The struggle that you went through is what makes it better when things are going good.

One massive mistake that people commonly make is saying "It doesn't really matter" or "you can't freak out about something you can't change".
It all does matter and you absolutely CAN stress about things that are beyond your control. The fact that things *could* always be worse does not disqualify you from feeling stress, anxiety, or falling into depression. Ryan Serhant is talented but there is no denying that an agent's biggest wins are mainly a product of a good market & strong economy. The hard work is building a brand and winning the business ... but if the listings aren't turning over because of market conditions there's not much you can do; it's all about communication and damage control with clients at that point.
What his wife could do is acknowledge that he has every right to feel that way and that the majority of other brokers are feeling the heat, too. Change the perspective from "nothing you can do about it ... don't stress" to "the market conditions are not your fault ... but what you can control is how effectively you communicate and manage your client's expectations."
Yes, people write, she is supportive. I didn't perceive it like that. I heard it as , what you feel is wrong. You are too worked up. That will probably be the way she treats her child as well. Very serious.
I hope she sees her way through. I'm starting a new career at 58. Keep at it.

As a wife myself I totally understand why she laughed. When you have a hardworking husband and you're 100% confident and proud of him, it would make you laugh that he doesn't see himself in the same light you do him. It's the same feeling when your overachiever child doesn't get a perfect score and feels like the world is crashing but you know they'll be fine :)

But at the same time he isn’t perfect and can do some douche bag things what he did to Ryan at that event where he pretty much disrespected him in front of everyone after he was an honored guest of Ryan was pretty bad of him. Even though what he said was accurate it was still disrespectful for him to say this in a public setting in front of all of those people that was a slap in the face to Ryan.
