- I made a working video on barges, with an extra camera on the twin-pedals. So you can see all the functions of a Stinis long-twin Spreader. The spreader was set to manual for this video, this modern liebher STS cranes made an AUTO-funtion so u just need to store in once in the memory and it will shift open/close when passing the hinge point!

Yesss, de laatste 5 jaar heb ik bij AET gedraaid in de kranen inderdaad! Intussen heb ik geen werkboek meer.

Does anybody know how to get into this field? I'm a truck driver, & I run the savannah ports in GA. I never have time to ask one of the people who load/unload my containers when I'm there because of the rushed environment. If anyone have any information on how to get my foot in the door. PLEASE let me know, I really am interested in this and want to change my career

question! how do the 4 centre twist locks get out of the way while picking up a 40 so not to puncture the roof?
so you get a good shaking around in your cab as well! I remember all that too.

Yeah the shaking is massive in these cranes, due to the heavy trolly(hoist mechanism) and a cheap Italian cabin.. Merford cabins are 10x better!!

machines have gotten much better than when I worked them 21 years ago in a inland container terminal.
***** yup, 21 years ago the biggest ships where 13 wide(I think) and now the biggest are 23 wide

lane 5 would be good on an acl, you could ease into the cells at full hoistup speed

Joris Cleiren lol, cabin would move a bit slower to match the height and spreader at full drop speed and lock from front keeping green flippers up and every other one down

+NICKTHEGAMER_ The flippers will lose power after a while if you keep them down. There is a hydraulic pump on the spreader with a timer. If you don't give any commands the pump will stop after 3-5mins.
yeah, but im not keeping them closed, this is keeping all down besides green until locked, after that they go up
