You can easily just make an hour long walk through video of the store showing everything and many of us would love it. It is fascinating seeing foods from other Cultures especially if you live somewhere that does not have a diverse culture.

Their store in Gardena, CA looks pretty much like in this video with all kinds of donki branding/decor and offers similar products and layout.

They’re like the melon sorbet, but in tiny balls that you can instantly pop in your mouth!! I would also get the ice cream daifuku! It’s a soft thin layer of mochi wrapped around creamy ice cream. Vanilla’s the best seller, but all other flavours like Hokkaido milk, Sweet Potato, or Matcha are awesome too!! As a healthy snack, there’s an entire section full of fruit granola, with Nissin Fruits Granola being my top favourite (particularly the maple flavoured one hehehe)

There's a store north of Cincinnati called Jungle Jim's Mike ought to check out. The simplest way to describe it is as a 300,000 sq ft international grocery store with a monorail out front.
I second this. I was just there last weekend. Got fresh longan, a variety of ramen, Japanese candy, some yummy cheeses. Probably my favorite grocery store. Too bad I live 3 hours away

I don't know how you do it, but you are the only person I know that can find a grocery store with this kind of stuff in it and sit down and eat a meal that is like a 5 star restaurant! Always entertaining!
at 11:35 you can tell the eggs are free range or pasture raised.. they are out of the cages and out of the building to get bugs and real food. so, thats why the yolks is that orangy color vs bright yellow like commercial pinned up chickens.
@@ndb_1982 well, let me tell you that i learned a lot about eggs. if you go to any store, you see the cheap eggs (they are in tight small cages) then they say “cage free” but only means they can wander around in small shed, or you see free range, means they stick to the larger shed but there is one small door, (google it, you will see) where they can get into a very small outdoor area.. then there is pasture raised, and they have all the grass and land that they need. they eat the bugs and things that transfers into a better egg, with more nutrients for us. those are more of an orange color vs a bright yellow. so… it appears that YOU know nothing about chickens or their eggs. so, there ya go.

You think that Don Don song was good? When Honest Ed’s here in Toronto, was open, they had a great Reggae song that would play in the store. I miss that crazy discount store. It kept Toronto humble with its history and the discounts and fabulous with the huge pictures of the movie stars plastered throughout the store. Most of them pictured with Ed. The store was filled with immigrant workers who worked there forever. Miss Ed like I miss Japan. Keep eating Mike, your adventures are bringing back memories. ❤😢😂🎉

Can vouch for donki!! Used to go to uni in sg, basement floor of clarke quay was just a massive donki. It's a bit pricey for a college student so I could only eat it a few times a week, but i always looked forward to lunch bcs of it!! Theres always something new to try bc it was so huge. I miss this place 😭 Also: i worked part time at a sushi place in sg as well and your reaction to aburi (seared salmon) made me chuckle, it is indeed the best thing ever 😂 my personal favorite is aburi mentai!

Japanese grocery store always have good ready to eat food. We got one in malaysia called aeon. I can sit there having bfast lunch tea dinner daily. Not just japanese and western food. Since malaysia multicultural malay chinese indian food also served there. Lots of varieries

I know it sounds weird, but you should try pairing together salted tortilla chips with the salmon roe/caviar. It really is simple but delicious
