A helpful tip I learned - keep a pair of gloves by your bedside and practice putting them on AND taking them OFF. Just go back & forth between inside out and then back right side out again during practice (doesn’t matter which side is which with nitrile gloves). Also, follow-up video idea - show proper degloving & disposal technique too - very important for your personal protection & safety that most people outside of healthcare don’t even know or think about.
“Take a second, to save a minute.” 👌🏽
Thank you gentlemen, great video
Great videos...😊
"Archimedes! No, it's filthy in there!" Oh wait, this is the wrong Meet The Medic...
Good stuff guys! I’ve had to use my Mountain Man Medical Trauma Kit 4 times. 2 of those were car wrecks. Also, Jacob don’t beat yourself up over the gloves. I forgot to put my gloves on all 4 times 😂
LOL, thanks for making me feel just a little bit better :) -Jacob
@@MountainManMedical No problem haha no one is perfect!
So you put your gloves on 😆
Put baby power in your gloves.
As a licensed healthcare provider, never never never provide medical care in the situations you are describing. You’re setting yourself up for a lawsuit…
Totally disagree. Good Samaritan laws protect citizens from lawsuit as long as they are aren’t preforming invasive procedures (needle D, crike, etc.) they haven’t been certified for. Simple procedures, like Tourniquets, chest seals and wound packing are things anyone could, and SHOULD do to save a life.
So if u are the one in the car wreak, u don't help... he could stand by, well nah... might be be a law suit...
This kind of thinking is why the world's messed up....
With all due respect Daniel, this legalistic thinking is why people don't trust healthcare providers. This will not look good at the Pearly Gates
