The world survived the pandemic and the universe brought us Nation of Language in reward. We come out the winners. Incredible talent. I’ve waited for this band for decades.
I was just "introduced" to this band five days ago and have been listening non-stop since. I'm 49 and when I listen to them I feel 15 again listening to my new wave cassettes! Best band I've listened to in a very long time. Simply Amazing!
I had the pleasure of hosting them at an airbnb I managed. Wow. I didn't know of them until I asked why they were visiting. This is not only my favorite song but my favorite band. Hope to cross paths again at a show of theirs!
This is an incredible song. It's like Wire Train crossed with Depeche Mode crossed with OMD crossed with Thomas Dolby? Great job guys. I run across a song like this very rarely, maybe once every year or two. I've listened to this song at least a dozen times in the past 24 hours.
I hear so many influences in their songs, blended together perfectly to sound fresh in the 21st Century. I even hear a little bit of my fave band, the Connells, in their melodies.
@garymitchell the above references to more contemporary sounds (ie. The Dears..) pull - I appreciate folks listening to artists and trying to discern influences. With my musical leanings formed in the 80's , really loved your references. Since any association we make with music is deeply personalized, I'll respectfully pass on your OMD, and even Depeche Mode (no vocal or instrumentation evocations for me). Your China Crisis comparison, though, sticks in my mind. Blancmange a bit too. For me - I hear an earlier Midge Ure and Ultravox synth groove. My best friend shared this with me and these guys are OUTstanding.
Decided to Check out Bands from the NEW Lineup for CRUEL WORLD 2025 so far all the Bands I've never listened to are GREAT!! Can't wait to see this Band in California ❤❤❤❤
I go with the rest of the comments about the 80's vibe. Could be the background noise of any dance club. A pulsing bass heartbeat with lyrics like the thought in one's head. What's not to love?
Hearing OMD with sprinkles of Kraftwerk. The US finally has a band worthy of comparison to the massive amount of top music coming out of the UK & Ireland the last few years.
Strong OMD influence and sound on this one. What sets the band apart is the lead singer. Given the right breaks, should go down as comparable to Morrissey, Murphy, Curtis and other New Wave icons.
Late night with Stephen Colbert was my first time hearing this band. Checked out first 2 albums. Absolutely love it. 80's sound mixed with something new. Can't stop listening to them.
Ok where do we start. This is too good. The 80s inspired band omg! Done sooo well. This song gave me hope after seeing these paranoid covid people s ramble around. Look forward to more driving thru Mulholland drive again to this song!!!!
Love this song and purchased this song. Very 80's synth music influence, even the video as that flavor. Keep going Nation of Language and more for 2022.
Recently I discovered Nation of Language, and for the first few months I didn't pay too much mind to it just thinking it was a modern dream pop/ alternative band. Honestly I thought they were one of those big bands like Snow Patrol, and Coldplay. Then I discovered that it is not a big popular band... in fact they have less than 20k subscribers. Take this as a compliment, I genuinely thought you were a name majority of people would say "Oh, I know one of their songs". I can't wait to see you soar. A while back I found a band just likes this; small niche band, great music, but not a common name... it was Beach House, who have blown up due to Wednesday and TikTok. I hope I get to see Nation of Language have a similar thing happen. With the quality of music being made, its inevitable
Love, love, LOVE you guys! One of the best new bands I've heard in the last five years if not THE best. Seen you guys live twice now (Glass House and the Fonda Theater) and the chemistry you all have on stage together is so charming and makes going to see you that much more special. And I'll be seeing you again in San Diego in October. Keep doing what you do best!
The world survived the pandemic and the universe brought us Nation of Language in reward. We come out the winners. Incredible talent. I’ve waited for this band for decades.
Pandemic isn't over though.
But yes, Nation of Language are awesome.
Agreed 100%
No kidding! I am transfixed
Don’t know what I like more, this song or this comment. 👍
Oh me too! 80s sweet vibes reincarnated! I fucking love them.. I'm about to be 46 and they make me feel like I'm 14 again, it's an awesome feeling! 🤘🤩
This band will probably be ruling the world at some point very soon
Without a doubt!
We know it !!!!
Heard this song on Stephen Colbert show
They Live
Possibly the greatest tribute to 1982 I've ever heard
Exactly the devo beat and vocals by bryan ferry
well said
Very accurate! 📻 Coincidentally, the Thomas Dolby album from 1982 features an identical-sounding synthesizer in “Europa and the Pirate Twins”. 🚀🏴☠️
This is better than the 80's music I heard in the 80's. Singer's voice is beyond description.
This tune is unreal. Absolutely love the melody and lyrics
Heard for the first, second, third, fourth, and 55th time today.
Me too
Heard that
Heard.
So much in love with this band! They are like Devo, OMD, Joy Division all rolled up into one.
I was just "introduced" to this band five days ago and have been listening non-stop since. I'm 49 and when I listen to them I feel 15 again listening to my new wave cassettes! Best band I've listened to in a very long time. Simply Amazing!
That's pretty awesome Aaron! What other bands like these geniuses would you recommend? Peace 🕊️
Welcome back to the future
This track is as close to a 'modern classic' as you'll probably ever find.
That opening is pure Talk Talk!
I had the pleasure of hosting them at an airbnb I managed. Wow. I didn't know of them until I asked why they were visiting. This is not only my favorite song but my favorite band. Hope to cross paths again at a show of theirs!
they've been a recurring support in this nearly year long struggle to survive. face my darkness and hope for better...
BBC radio 6 brought me here
What a melody
What a voice...synths like I've NEVER heard them
This song is seriously channeling the BEST 80s vibes! Great job, love it!
I totally love it. For once a recent band presents the New Wave sound of the 80ies at its best.
Great job in taking me back to the days of pop of the 80s!!! Great sounds!!!
This is epic, I'm in love with this track!
This song is beyond words, this is gunna blow up trust me
PS love it when the ghostly backing vocals kick in during the last chorus. Magical stuff.
Nice. The 80s are back. Better times. Definitely.

This song is a blast guys. Much love from México.
Don't forget Men Without Hats! I hear them in here too.
@@euromobile900 Ok, I do hear it a bit.
this is most likely gonna be my favorite song of the year
You and me both.
@@Shrykespeare ha! i love that your stance got cemented in a month
@@birdlawco This song checks every single box for musical perfection for me.
KEXP brought me here. So happy about it!
...every day we're circling...never closing in on what we want...
your music is so wonderful and reminds me of the best time forever the 80s. Greetings from Germany, Mathias ❤❤❤
Saw them at the Showbox in Seattle back In 2018, That was a damn good show, can't wait to see them again soon!
Seattle in the house, holla
I'm sort of terrified to suddenly have something real to look forward to, I can't wait to see this amazing band in boston in september
Toronto in October 🙌
@@timothy5208 sad to say I couldn’t make it for medical reasons. But I’m fine now, hopefully I’ll get another chance before too long.
@@keithmhaupt They are back in the States soon but not Boston.... hopefully somewhere close even that you can make it!
The way the refrain kicks in is so great!!! It directly affords to get you moving 🕺💃🏻
magical sounds and spirit of the 80s concentrated in the genius of this band
Just heard this for the first time. I got up and danced through the whole song. Then I played it again.
The lyrics of this song though. 😍
This is pure class and i feel like am listening to a new version of OMD ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Give this guy time, he’ll become one of the front men that will be remembered. Whatever his name is.
Ha ha, your right though, you don't forget him
A marvellous mixture of OMD, China Crisis, Depeche Mode and Blamange. Need i say more. Gazzmondo.🍒🍒

I’ve listen to this song about 300 times since I heard on Kool Rock Radio. Glad it’s on Apple Music.
Just discovered this band on 7th october 2022. GREAT !!! Very melodic synth pop as my favourite 80's bands.
Decided to Check out Bands from the NEW Lineup for CRUEL WORLD 2025 so far all the Bands I've never listened to are GREAT!! Can't wait to see this Band in California ❤❤❤❤
The best shit in the last 30 years!
I go with the rest of the comments about the 80's vibe. Could be the background noise of any dance club. A pulsing bass heartbeat with lyrics like the thought in one's head. What's not to love?
I have been transported back to a happier time!!
fantastic song OMD 1981
Am I the only one that melts when Aiden‘s backing vocals chime in during the last chorus
nope!
This song is truly fantastic!
Great new music. Oh my god when will i see them playing in Mexico wow 🤜🏼🤛🏼😎
Such a unique sound, retro but something new as well.... and this video is amazingly cool :D I'm gonna stay and watch more!
Awesome, truly well done. When my head moves I’m sold.

Hearing OMD with sprinkles of Kraftwerk. The US finally has a band worthy of comparison to the massive amount of top music coming out of the UK & Ireland the last few years.
I'm there from the very first note ... perfect!
Toller Song. Ein echter Ohrwurm.
Love love love❤🇧🇷👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good track. Very reminiscent of synth stuff in the eighties. I guess what is old is new again.
I love this song, the chorus especially reminds me of The Hidden Cameras!
I feel like this should be one of 12 albums I bought from Columbia House for a penny.
Me too. It came along with a A flock of seagulls, The Romantics. A couple of The Cars albums, Supertramp...
I love this band! O.M.G!
Possibly one of the best songs if not the best song I've heard over the past five years and only 3k likes?
Music is such in a weird place.
Brilliant! Brings happy tears to my eyes.
What more can be said?
Dynamite tune
New music you can actually dance to
Thanks WXPN Philly for turning me on to this
Strong OMD influence and sound on this one. What sets the band apart is the lead singer. Given the right breaks, should go down as comparable to Morrissey, Murphy, Curtis and other New Wave icons.
solid hook on this jam

This is new and good to listen to! 👂⚡️⚡️⚡️
Love this! Reminds me of Wang Chung back in the day.❤️
Ok where do we start. This is too good. The 80s inspired band omg! Done sooo well. This song gave me hope after seeing these paranoid covid people s ramble around. Look forward to more driving thru Mulholland drive again to this song!!!!
Love singing your vocals tryna match them man ur a there with it
Love this song and purchased this song. Very 80's synth music influence, even the video as that flavor. Keep going Nation of Language and more for 2022.
On hearing this, my first thoughts were OMG! Err, I mean OMD.
I'm in love with this tune. Haven't heard any of their other's but will definitely be checking them out.
Love this. Reminds a little bit of ‘Our Daughters Wedding’. Remember them?

Best song of 2021. Hands down. Wow.
Thanks so much for hanging out with us after Thing Fest. Your show was transcendent.
Beautiful song, thanks.
Can wait to see NOL live!!!!!!! Vancouver
Sounds like the ghosts of punk and shoegaze had a fight, and the spawn was born. I'm all for it.
Great song! The intro reminds me of Flock of Seagulls
I loooove ur 80s style...perfect synth wave...nice style, brilliant video. Keep doing that
最高にかっこいい音楽!イントロと間奏で少し暇になっちゃうのも好き(笑)日本にもいつか来てほしい。。
