Wow - that water is so incredibly clear, and everything was gorgeous - great job filming, Rob, and thank you for showing me something I will never get to see any other way. Glad that gentleman took good care of you Favor - I TOTALLY get what you're saying about it meaning a LOT to know you can trust somebody you don't even know to be there t help you when you need it - monumentally important! That beach club, with the pool and the incredible views, was awesome!! Those hand cleaning things look cool, I'd love to try them!! That band was great, I'm "rocking out" and chair dancing here. listening to them! :) That lady singing Adele was good too. I also eat mayo on my BLT's, and in the summertime, I eat just tomato sandwiches with mayo on either rye bread, or Wonder white (both of which I know you can't have - sorry).

@@nikkiparker-ricoh9831 we were told they were living and to not take them above the water. They did seem to move. They don’t move quickly so it was hard to tell. They were not staged as far as we could tell and there were far more then I could show in the video.

Great video. I was curious about getting in and out of the boat snorkeling. Did they have a ladder? My wife has mobility issues and I noticed you both jumped in……just wondered how you got back in? Thank you in advance!
They did have a ladder to get back on the boat but where the water was deep they put me (favor) in the water. I am too afraid to jump off the side of the boat so they literally placed me in the water. It was crazy! Haha! I did ask for the ladder. Hugs!!
Awesome video! We leave the 14th on the Vista, and it can't come soon enough!! It's so cool to get a sneak peak at what to expect. I don't usually get to enjoy the excursions, due to the heat. (I've had a heat stroke), but y'all make it look cool and comfortable in the water. Do you know what the temperature was? I'm thinking about trying it.
I had heat stroke as a child, it was terrifying from the parts I remember. It was in the upper 80's. On the water, in the boats at the beach there is a breeze so I never get hot but I do run cool. It is hotter in August, I always go to weather . com and put in the ports of call in the search field so I can know what to expect weather wise. I would do that about 5 days before you cruise to get a real feel of what the temperature will be. If you have the excursion booked to hold your place you can even cancel on board the ship but on the ship it will become OBC not a refund on your CC. Hugs!

At what time does the vista get to the port
It depends on the time of year, the currents and the weather. Sometimes it is in by 7AM no problem but these last few weeks weather has delayed it and it has not arrived until 10AM. During peak fog season it can arrive as late at noon. This cruise series it arrived delayed in port, you will see that later in the vlogs.
what's the name of the resort? I'm getting married on the Jewel of the seas the week of April 9th 2022 and will be on the new Celebration May 20 2023. Then ill have to go from Lostboys travels to AJ travels

Hey Rob and Favor what was the excursion called in Roatan? The snorkeling was gorgeous, so much color, and the water so clear.

Why does everyone think its ok to touch the wildlife . Starfish can die if you touch them 😢
Perhaps because they have not been told and are not aware of the harm touching can cause. We were only told not to take them out of the water. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Perhaps you could kindly educate going forward the dangers of touching sea life - once you have properly educated yourself. I have now properly researched the starfish and while you are right to be concerned you also need to do more research on what happens when a starfish is touched. Remember to choose a source properly cited and with legitimate research. Be well!

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been there before, about 7 years ago. I’ve never snorkeled. How deep are you? I’m not sure I want to see what I’m swimming alongside lol. What kind of camera are you using in the water?
Hi! Some spots were about 50 feet deep some were 3 feet deep, it varied greatly! I am with you, along the reef you never know what you're going to see! lol! I am using a GoPro hero 9 right out of the box as it comes. LOVE IT but the microphones, as always with GP are in a terrible spot and fill with water.. Thank you for watching! Hugs!
How did you get back in the boat, Favor and Robert? I would love to go on that excursion but I am over weight and I have had two knee replacements so I cant climb a regular pool type ladder. It would need to be kind of slanted like steps.
Hey my friend, it was a pool ladder type steps and they were a bit wobbly and on a slant for me and stable and flat for Rob. The ladder doesn't always touch the bottom. I don't want to discourage you but there are a lot unstable steps and climbing on and off the boat. I might would skip this one. BUT if you can get in the boat from the dock then you can see the starfish above the water from the boat and the resort is lovely, the pool would be no problem. Hugs!!
