One of the best first reactions. First Steps was my first experience with VR as well and it was profound. I been playing games since Atari 2600, and i remember all the leaps and bounds in tech. Gaming hasn't really seen a significant leap since 2D transitioned over to 3D. This was the step it needed imo.
If you guys don't know, if you buy a google chromecast (they're like $30) but you plug it into a tv and can see everything that the person in the headset sees
lol the worst time to interrupt a first experience is to adjust eyes with all that going on. I wish the intro started as simple floating text for that purpose. Then let them just experience it without fiddling with things. At least she enjoyed it.
It so easy to quickly set the ipd and give them a quick review of the strange controllers you just gave them. He should have had her start First Steps over.
